Lets get to the grill. So things to think about when putting the steaks on the grill this time. You know, in restaurants, safety is everything, and so even before we start grilling in fact, ill put something on the grill so we get going. Hows that . Does that work . But ill tell you something. Kelly yeah, yeah. So, you know, i have some greatthese are my steaks. Pat lafrieda meat purveyors. Ive worked with them for years. They do an unbelievable job for us. So this is a great rib eye on the bone, a rib steak. Nice. And ive gotthese are my signature burgers. These are my own blend, my secret blend of burger, and which is, ill tell you, its a blend of chuck and a blend of dryaged beef. Its delicious. So i just use salt, and my grill is clean. So one of the first things i always ask people to do is keep your grill clean. That means not only on the grilling surface but also in the drip pan beneath, because thats where little fires can start, and we dont want that to happen. So keeping it clean, cleaning it after each use, is really important. And we just went on the grill with the steak, the burgers, and were good to go with that. You know, the big thing about the grill is, keep it away from the house. This is the number one thing that i know so many people violate this rule. 27 , 30 of grilling fires, house fires, begin with a grill thats too close to a house. The minimum distance is 10 feet. I like to suggest that a grill be kept 15 or 20 feet away from any structures at all. No overhanging trees. Away from anything flammable. This is really important. Many people have their grill right up against the house, and thats a really risky thing. Ryan michael, couple questions about your cooking there. So just curious, how will you know when that thick one is ready to be flipped and when its finished . So this isthis is my totem of grilling leave it alone. Leave it alone. And to answer your question, actually, i brought a little toy with me, and this is a probe, a meat probe, and its a temperature probe thatll give you the temperature. So on a big steak like that, i always check the temperature. These are really inexpensive. Ryan got it. And theyll read out the internal temperature, and you can get to theyou get to where you want it to be cooked, mediumrare, rare, welldone, whatever it is you like, but it does take time, but not poking it and moving it around is the and the burgers especially is important because when you move things around on the grill, everything gets cold. Kelly michael, back to the house burning down. What if, say we dont want that. Kelly what if somebody has their grill too close to the house and theyve just realized it now . Okay, so kelly [laughs] move it away. Kelly is it a simple move . Is it easy to just move a grill . Its easy to move a grill. If its hardpiped, you can move it. If its not, its just propane tanks, you can move it. But you know whats important . Have a fire extinguisher nearby when youre grilling or some baking soda. You know, these little or evenyou know, even when youre grilling and you get flashyou get some little flashlittle fire you know, not so much fires but flareups, i use a spray bottle of water to bring down theyou know, to bring down that little flame. Kelly oh. But i always keep something around that can extinguish a fire. And, you know, keep the grill away from the house. Wear loosefitting dont wear loosefitting clothing; dont wear, you know, big, long sleeves. Dont have apron strings. I mean, these are really important things. Keep people away. The grill should be on level ground so that its stable, not going anywhere, and try and keep the kids away from the grill when youre cooking. You know, theyre gonna wanna run around you, but youre gonna have to set some boundaries because youre at work there at the grill. So just control your space. Youll be good to go. Ryan listen, kel, i think were gonna tell you more about where you can see him in just a second, but i think hes holding out on the secrets to that burger. He said ground chuck and dryaged, but there are more secrets to that burger i know hes not giving up. Kelly look how gorgeous. An allnew tamron hall starts now. [rock music] welcome to an allnew tamron hall show from my home, and were gonna have a little fun today. My amazing team searched high and low for little kids with lots of talent. Hgrowing up, me and my cousins, we would do these talent shows, and i was always the emcee, because i was short on talent, but i could talk. Hence, the reason im here. [laughs] but anyway, from brooklyn to brazil, california to canada, we tracked down some of the most talented kids in the world. Take a look at these pictures. That is 13yearold emerald gordon wulf, who left judges on americas got talent speechless. Heres one of her big moments. [dance like yo daddy by meghan trainor] [audience cheering] i want you to dance like yo daddy [laughter] ah dance like yo daddy dance like yo daddy and if you care what theyre thinking you cant have fun so come on oh, go[laughs] emerald and her mom, chelsea, join us from their home in san diego, california. Emerald, okay, you blew the judges away. You could hear the audience reacting to your desk routine. Is there a special breathing te first of all, before i even get tips on how to do it, how did you even learn that you could do it . Well, i was in gymnastics first, and i wasnt very good at it. Because whenever i tried to do a straight handstand, i just fell over. I had to go into a back bend. My coach actually had to tape a ruler to my back to try to keep it straight. That did not work, by the way. [laughs] and then she told us that americas got talent was gonna come tto be a contortionist. I shn and we didnt know what contortion was, so we googled it, and we made up a routine. It was not very good. [laughs] looking back. But it was our first attempt. And i did not make it, but i tried again, five years later, and, obviously, i made it. Uhhuh. Chelsea, ive gotta ask you, i mean, she is obviously persistent and clearly talented, but im thinking to myself, my kid comes in, doing all this, i would say, you better stop that before you break something. Youre gonna hurt yourself. Were you ever worried . Yeah, i remember the first time i saw her do a back bend. She was in ballet, and they were all warming up, and she was maybe four. And she did a back bend and, like, bent in half, and i screamed. I thought she was gonna break herself. Andbut then, she was fine, and i didnt really realize there was anything unusual about her body until she was maybe. Seven or eight . And she was really struggling in gymnastics and that was the first time i thought, huh. Her bodys built a little differently. Oh, my goso, did you, i mean. [laughs] again, im fascinated by this. You learned that shes built differently. Did you take her to the pediatrician and say, oh, my gosh this child is incredible shes. Shes, i dont know, shes a superhero. So the pediatrician is actually the one who s. And he had said, she, you know, she was kind of. A little clumsy. Yeah. And she was always falling all over her feet, and he was, like, you know, gymnastics will help. She needs to get a little stronger. And then, that definitely so you know, put us on the path to where she is now. So your training has been so unique, emerald, much as your start was. Youve been very creative, using things like toilet paper in your routine. How much time do you spend training every day . Thats actually not toilet paper. Thats a pap oh, thats toilet paper i thought it was a paper towel. Oh, my gosh. I probably spend a good seven hours training. Um. Wow. In the morning, i wake up, and i do my normal handstands, which includes. Well, theyre basically pushups without your feet. Oh. Not that one. [laughs] okay. Yeah. I start my morning out like that, too, emerald, just so that you know. Thats exactly what i do in the morning. Now, you also include archery in your act. Or you just ck tt up, too . I am trained to do that. All of these things are things that shes teaching herself. Yeah. So thats an archery range that my grandfather my father. [laughs] your grandfather. My grandfather built me. Because we lived in an apartment, and so it was really hard to practice archery. I actually ended up breaking a light the first time i tried. So he built that for me. So chelsea. Again, shes teaching herself all of this, including playing the harmonica and doing a handstand at the same time. Lets take a look at this one. [playing harmonica] so emerald, you taught yourself, you are completely toptobottom, every twist, every turn. From you. Youteaching yourself this. Do you go on google and look up. Do youis there a contortionist hero that you look up to . Well, we look at a lot of people on instagram. Like alexey. From Cirque Du Soleil . From Cirque Du Soleil. There are quite a few, actually, that we take inspiration from. But a lot of what we do is original. Oh, i like that. So shes pulling from her own spirit, her own creativity. So, okay, you are still competing in americas got talent for a chance to win 1 million. If you win that, what are your plans . What are you gonna do with it . Well, i would love to buy a house that i can have a whole bunch of pets. Okay. I thought you were gonna build a studio. I have 11 pigeons at the moment, and i would like to rescue a whole bunch more. Okay, so now, this is all making sense. Youre outside, the beautiful landscape, so youre out you got pigeons. You need to be close by. Mom, so she had a chance to say anything in the world, that she wanted to do with her Million Dollar winnings, if she wins americas got talent. She wants more pets. Are you okay with that . She has put off having a pet for a long time to be able to live close to the Circus Center here in san diego. And if she is able to achieve this dream, i would completely support her for it. I love that. Well, you know what, emerald, good luck. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you well be sure to watch you on americas got talent. It airs tuesday nights on nbc. Go get em thank you, mom. Thank you. Thanks for having us. Coming up, a tenyearold music prodigy with over 400,000 followers on instagram, and. Got amazing talent there, and as we continue to celebrate kids with talent, our next kid is a true rock star already. Literally, at the age of ten, shes a rock star. Her drum riffs have been seen over a million views on youtube, and over 400,000 followers on instagram. And joining us from across the pond in her home in ipswich, england, is nandi bushell. Nandi, youre ten years old. How did you learn that you had such talent . I always liked listening to the beatles and looking at ringo starrs drum kit and how he plays the drums. Then one day, when i was five at the weekend, i got an award for my maths, so as a reward, my parents took me to a toy shop, and, of course, i picked out a toy drum kit. And from then on, a couple weeks later, i was better than my dad. Okay, i love it. You were better than dad just starting out. So i love to see you on social media, so to be able to see you right now is so awesome. Show us one of your drum riffs. You ready . Three. Ill let you count yourself down. I dont want to mess you up. There you are, daso youve, john, youve played in a couple bands, musical background. She is incredible how proud are you . Im incredibly proud. Its. Its quite amazing to see how shes. Grown over the last few years. As a baby, i knew that she had some natural rhythm, natural ability. We used to put music on, and she would bounce up and down to that music, so when she picked the drum kit at the toy shop, and we brought it home, and we saw that she had just this natural rhythm, we encouraged it as much as we possibly could. And yeah. Its been an incredible journey so far. Wow, so nandi, i know that your videos have been, as i said, trending. You had a chance to meet your idol, Lenny Kravitz. And you even got to play with Lenny Kravitz what was that like for you . It was really, really, really exciting. He was really nice, and i just really enjoyed playing the purdie shuffle and are you gonna go my way with him. And now were really good friends. Oh, okay. Well, thats a good friend to have [laughs] now, tell me about, you know, you threw your sticks in the air, you just, you go for it. I mean, your pink little bow was moving. You just let it all out. Yep i love letting it all out, cause you can do whatever you want and just rock out. Okay, you just so you[laughs] you produced, wrote, sang, and played two instruments for your very first song. The song is my rock and roll. Let me take a listen to it. I love the fro, i love the different looks. So, um. [laughs] i cant stop looking at you and just thinking about how my son has a drum kit. Hes a year old, and hes not picked it up yet. So i need you to give him some lessons soon. But is this a dream come true for you, nandi . Yeah so whats next . Um. Maybe jam with a few more bands. I really want to jam with the foo fighters and rage against the machine and red hot chili peppers. I love your list. I love your list of people youve selected. I would toss in, maybe, sheila e. In there. And then thats just a complete circle. I think thats fantastic. I like that. We gotta put sheila e. On there. Im gonna text message her and make sure she sees this. Well, im so happy for you. Congratulations, john, on an awesome daughter. Nandi, congratulations. And you know what . I really would love for you to just play me out to the break.
