Significant increases, focussing on prizemoney
Club Menangle is pleased to announce that the bread-and-butter prizemoney, so important to keeping our harness racing industry going, is heading in the right direction.
After receiving an improved funding forecast, the Club Menangle Board has approved significant increases, focussing on prizemoney for week-to-week racing.
The most notable changes are:
Midweek prizemoney increases from $8,000 to $9,000 per race;
Minimum Saturday night prizemoney increases from $11,000 to $13,000;
The $16,000 tier of prizemoney increases to $18,000;
The $18,000 tier of prizemoney increases to $20,000;
The $22,000 tier of prizemoney increases to $24,000.
There will also be a significant increase in the number of $20,000 races, which were being run at lower prizemoney levels.
