The government of Uttar Pradesh has shown keen interest in making a film city in Noida similar to the one in Mumbai to encourage filmmakers to shoot in the state. Pankaj Tripathi, who is proud of his roots, has suggested the idea of making a film-friendly mohalla that will increase employment opportunities for the locals.
