Now lets face it this government i dont. Know a face i love president. I dont have faith in the system. Im just a broken system its not society for people like me. A sociology professor. Who was mature as an authority in local. Hall when hes ready became while it. I got tired so i shot him. A committee go. Cause if i killed him in broad daylight. 10 years in prison for that. It is a. So. I said ive got it set up. The guys are ive got it right im going im. Running this call alexander 51 years old and im homeless and. Since 2008 there is a r. s they have now there are. Going to have a lot of that to us is the dollar subject on a good day at the big 300. 00 but is the a. C. L. Worse up in 18 hours straight up and down up and down on my feet. Arbet im sure. It was a music teacher. Ideology so. I smoked 60 cigarettes a day. A closer. I mean the force troops would suit up a system that is all about profit to me it is human nature. Coming from a family of 8 and poverty when i was going to school i used to have to wear 2 to have pants to work to hold one pair of pants i was poor i was so poor but i wanted to do it must have out of the hole the poverty you know i wanted to make a better life for myself i didnt like the quality. I hate it probably made a vow to must have the money ever got to the place where i could make some money interest whale i would do that. Spirit. Is very nice to people did a lot of shit dont. See 2 or 3 the flames although some may see me because im going to end them. Out of. People the way journalists like you know the main. Business on this series the whole these are the numbers is going to be in the as many. Different people who are here for different reasons. Lost a job loss or. Whatever the excuse is they come down here to get themselves a job. I think the fundamental problem that we all face and then whatever situation the pharmacist alike are for i like a Community Like a lot like a family a lack of support around you. Saying listen a lot like a lot of other american cities. And some ways its so very segregated. Got a lot of people that its not enough to pay for a place to live. For poor neighborhoods. All the areas that we go to where a lot of people almost stay. This used to be that they almost cant appear. Out of the city the city toward. A few people that have their tents caught on fire and. Lets do it. I wish there were a better word. Being home us because i think thats not the only problem that some people have. Whether you have a home or youre not there are nice people and sweet people and they have a home where you are there are jerks and there are people that are violent aggressive whether you have a home or youre not you still people still like the same. Food courts. All over and call tribal courts in the jungle carts. And you have rice and. Chicken the rice much special bowls. But i usually eat pizza because this dollar slices to the cheap i dont see a lot of stuff. Like the limit of lifes price fiber as an older guy you know it would be sweet i need that kind of food to eat. My vegetables because the vegetables have item is in them you know im going to hell and im going to c. V. S. Every day for. A century 50 you know im not. Going to go through. Things like this. Police. Please leave. Me feel. Like a little police. By night. When they. Say ok just. Let me have. A medium size t. V. Like this you need the size t. 23 or should. Fish this. Like you know when i have to use the baffle. It doesnt work that way you know. It doesnt fall out of trouble with. The bessel right and you used to baffle. On the internet and while we have all the sounds. Of baby showers her baby. Her. I think ive ever felt that. I was volunteering with a group that had food drug and eyes i jumped in and started volunteering at a table and taking care of my jeans stuff a friend of mine here in st louis had a salon and she gave me some really expensive shampoo and it was like you know 40. 00 a bottle. I gave it to this gentleman and i said here this is a really expensive shampoo and he said thank you but i got i dont know where to use it and i was just so embarrassed and ashamed that i was so excited about passing out a shampoo to someone but i didnt think it was far enough that they would have nowhere to use it and so i got to thinking that if we make food trucks and you know put kitchens inside of a truck why cant we put showers inside of a truck and kind of started the whole process from there to get it so you couldnt see again. But about a week if. You go into the. When i was 10 years old i discovered i could seen a little bit and didnt know harmonies so some guys in the neighborhood told me how to harmonize and we formed a group my brother 9 a couple more guys got out and we did the local talent shows in the schools and in the nightclubs in memphis. Blues a local star talent you know in the in the city of memphis. The only song everybody elses stuff you know the guys who already had records that we were so good and we saying their stuff you know so today went out and come out and work so hard so they gave us the 1st segment of our families and weve just got to. Be stepping you know maybe so on just like in syria. And then ill do ill believe 3 years i was impossible. To Say Something like the song is all heard. Oh maybe somebody but you can speak. To them somebody needs to be able to believe in it you know you believe in things. I have people. Coming to the talks about how my. Father playing. The very tough times you peter. Please take. It from time to time to be on top. So this is sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission where the largest Free Service Provider of meals in philadelphia where the only Free Service Provider breakfast in the entire city. With their 400. 00 meals a day no matter what always. That includes breakfast lunch and dinner. Mood the rude mood and also we serve about 180. 00 all every single night we just need a place to sleep will remove every single bed in this room that currently has a pillow on it is actually a physical person who has reserved this bed tonight so as you can see we really are almost completely full. Sun the Breakfast Rescue Mission is 139. Years old so there were actually quite a few Homeless Individuals in philadelphia at the time it was even way before the Great Depression yet there was a very large homeless epidemic in philadelphia. We dont receive any government funding so that means that were completely independent of the strings that would come along with accepting any money from the government. We do this because we dont necessarily want the strings but also if there is giant budget cuts that there were a few years ago we actually dont get affected because we have our entire revenue stream from individuals who are donating us money instead of. Through something that is so easily attained changeable like. Policy. And. So in the past few years in america weve had quite a difficult time with passing our budget that means that weve actually had a few weeks where our government shuts down because. We just cant get it passed. That does become quite a problem for people who are relying on that money. I mean his wife. Sitting on 20000000000. 00 surplus. Has a couple from the. Only thing. I live on the street. But if you take it off. The wall some of my fellow citizens would step in. And officials this is. In the right place to give people wall street because at some point you have to help people help themselves. A lot of it is just the unfortunate fact that most people in philadelphia are on the ballot 2 paychecks away from home so that means you dont have a job for 4 weeks. And then all of a sudden youre going to be homeless because you are literally living from paycheck to paycheck and you need that next job in order to continue paying rent and if you dont pay rent then you will be evicted. From my perspective i really believe that the route to homelessness in philadelphia is the fact that. There is a very high population below the poverty line. A lot of people if you lose 2 paychecks and thats not going to be a big deal but in philadelphia that is an extremely big deal for about 40 percent of the population. Anyone can become homeless a lot of people become homeless because of some sort of catastrophic event in their life maybe medical bill was just too high or a fire in their house maybe a divorce or Something Like that could could potentially cause homelessness. In the world where the local roebourne. Are you know theres a you know there are of that so i wrote again and over the top person. I was born versus use your college graduate.
