Ryan Allen Sutter (born on September 14, 1974 in Fort Collins, Colorado) was the winner (final bachelor) chosen by Trista Rehn on the television show
The Bachelorette. Sutter, a Colorado firefighter, and Rehn were married in a televised wedding on ABC on December 6, 2003. The miniseries was filmed at The Lodge luxury resort in Rancho Mirage, California. Prior to that, he was a star college football defensive back with the Colorado Buffaloes football team, and was eventually drafted by the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League in the 1998 Draft, but lasted only a couple of seasons as a professional football player mainly due to injuries.
