A devastating mudslide has left three people dead and more than 100 people missing as homes after torrential rains triggered landslides which swept away homes and cars in a central Japanese city over the weekend.
A woman was confirmed dead, bringing the death toll to three with 113 people still missing in the seaside city of Atami 60 miles (90km) southwest of Tokyo, Kyodo news agency said, after floods, landslides and cascading mud collapsed and half-submerged houses on Saturday.
The deluge, which crashed into rows of houses following heavy rains in Atami, has left 130 properties damaged and many more people are feared dead.
