Introducing we ll keep sticking pictures as we go along I have got here in my little glass room 50 percent of lovers who played a little bit earlier on got David and Joe how are you gentleman very good thank you not too bad itself I don t nobody ever asks thank you how terribly consider it did you enjoy you settle your honor so I saw all of your sets earlier on really really really good nice turn out the 1st time we played a couple of songs are so very enjoyable you know it was a couple of very new songs in the day is it nerve racking given that kind of thing a debut at a major event like this yeah especially when we haven t put as much time as we d like to and I mean it was it we must we smash through it was great but. I think part of it is every everyone s really critical of themselves you know I was going to say I could be there I m sure if it was alright and there s a little bit about lovers how long is the band being together now Joe just a little Yeah yeah. They come and snuggle together and when you know it s been a year in like a couple of days which is really nice humpy on of the whole thing yeah thank you thank you. Where is Jack Brooks Yama curial front man was he not meant to be coming down the exit you re going to unfortunately he s got to go home I say is easy not well no comment. He has a fragile Constitution at the best of times I ve long since been aware of the. Other plans for lovers that have you got more recordings in the pipeline because I ve played a few of your trucks already I think we do we do have more recordings in the pipeline and we ve got. We got about 3 of. There s some things going on behind the scenes which Well we don t know how it s going to pan out the railing is it John Clarke your constitution Yeah partly Yeah I m you know I do things going on behind the scenes in a cold way Oh well if they re going to play it wouldn t talk about yeah story yeah I ve heard so I was excited it s yeah there s a lot of things going on but. You re not going to tell me we know it s not oh wait it s not that we can t tell you it s just like it s nothing set in stone yet we don t want to say oh yeah this is something in this is happening and then nothing happens and then we look at it and I thought that whatever it is I hope it works out for you because you deserve it you sounded fantastic and if you enjoyed twister rather was a whole you ve been wandering around older Yeah well I ve been every year as a spectator point Yeah exactly so it s I know the scar No Well the bad news but this is the 1st year that I ve played and it s nice to be part of it for once you know I mean like yeah so who have you seen today Jo won t see Kate go for a bit. Was it quite late on yeah yeah it was absolutely even really going to miss Dillon college I really really really raised meetings I saw during college she was fantastic I tell you what values own admission he does now if sweat Oh you get through the book it s when he s on the stage he said he was going to sell me for 3 pound 50 a bottle you see like I ve We were a general event together he s a very very nice boy. We kind of thing as we re playing festivals like this is when yourself at the level that we all have cars you can t really leave your game on on its own in Bora So what you re going to do you can he s got kind of sit in your car and just wait until it s time to put you in the van you want to if you re talking about middle spruce a 1st how is it on a Saturday obviously I mean it s. It s not uber it s me. You re just paranoid David great to speak to you fellows thoroughly enjoyed your. Genuinely great so. Keep the new stuff coming out. Give my best to Jack Brooks where they constitute. Whatever exciting thing it is that s in the pipeline I hope it comes off for you good luck with it. You have to kill me I know this to you as far as Enjoy the rest of your. Baby C.T. s Let s play a trucker. You don t mind. Live You. Now that is lovers and I don t mind who puts in Stirling s that earlier today twister Ella festival I have a look on the brochure here and find out when they actually played because I can t remember it s all melded into one a little bit 5 o clock was late it was yeah 5 o clock they played in the town house and bar a Town Center thank you to Joe and to David from lovers for having a not so they have wandered off into the wilderness of Middlesbrough for the evening now we are down at the twister Well a festival all evening well till 10 o clock or we d be down a bit after that as well but only broadcasting till 10 o clock anything later than that would be unseemly I feel delighted to be joined in our little glass room in the Student Union but. The university we have Jonathan is Claire from Nell unless you re only in the studio we did last week was it the week before I lose track week before. We do we have a nice week then ceiling Damon s humans in last week do you think Damon s a brilliant Yeah. I ve reached that age I ve started to drift a little bit and I can t tell really lovely to see what you know you ve been wondering about all day. I guess that s kind of what people do best of us really isn t there that s the general idea yet we ve been doing our best to see yeah. So some good stuff who have you seen a call I caught you at the end of Tom Joshua who was great yeah well we call almost all from the show I think he was unreal like it s really like emotional yeah I was really feeling we falling up a little bit yeah I mean you know I would like to think you know. Just Gets me every time I know you re a sensitive emotional guy and it s good to have that side to you I think it was if you say do you do sneaking in right at the back of dressed like wolves we would that we were there long before you bought All right there s no need to rub it in I arrived fashionably late was absolutely pocked it was Romney and Rick absolutely own that it was incredible I ve never been in there before what s the name of that little new crop up that s a good question that I ve not heard of and I don t. Like going to tell the good listenership if you can see to me he s introduced what addressed not what question is that 3 it was that with you re the only one that can remember it was this latest pick it was good wasn t it was pretty good an absolutely packed in that and the pair of you like now and later which they went in a fortnight ago what the plans for now only if you want to wander off thought you want to watch it yeah they were really good I m glad I wanted off because. I did miss out on anything because basically you didn t want to stick with those losers in the studio for the rest of the night John only needed me for one song and then now you know what s the point being that. The possibility of a conversation about. Oh yeah now on that water what are the plans you recall I ve got one song so far is there more to follow ask John honestly he s the one with the plan I ve got one song so far is there more to follow hopefully Yes Yeah I would like to think so so another single maybe spring time will bring out like. Stop a song that with them with Sullivan and Gold who also played that night yeah. Song . Well he covered it so all of us have been absolutely yeah it was a very sad loss friends job I know he s a figure that meant a lot to all of us yeah so yes so we thought we yeah to that one for him and yeah and yes so next year hopefully single and rockin stuff yeah this is your Neil Gaiman s tribute album yeah yeah so let s hope he likes. Seems like a very amenable fellow to May I think that the way to get him is on Twitter to. Feel like new people just. Using he s doing different stuff with it hopefully he wrote a beautiful heartfelt episode of Dr Who so he s clearly a good guy one of the. Dr Who You know I mean like some serious geniuses a doctor who a Dom right what are you doing for the rest of the evening who you say you know well we just escaped from. Extremely well up to escape how do you. Know it was a right you know to be dragged away like we were kind of yeah we were kind of dragging it sure that it was a kind of a trade off like me and then I was struck in class and yeah no I don t know anything about pit blah Can you tell me they rock yeah yeah I mean it s not a phrase that I would use. But it applies to the Iraq yeah. I don t know if I m qualified to use that phrase to be honest with the I mean I definitely do not rock so I don t normally use the word rock because of if I m honest Ok it s pretty much a now in for me Ok I m retiring. From the. You have to watch now hopefully will movies catch the back end of things crossed or are you going back in there if you ll let us feel free. To ask me for anything I should know that the door is locked on Bowl it s. Well and. They are being treated very kindly they are free to leave at any point in the evening look good to see you both thanks for thanks for popping into our little glass room enjoy the rest of it was on after the. So look we can see after lunch party oh yeah well that ll be good fun task. I m glad that you can actually read the brochure because it s entirely type and my eyesight isn t good enough to be able to see it properly anymore in my gigs you did it again. John Clapham Nel and let the dogs with joy that goes should we play a little bit of dress like wolves the bum that we all crammed into what was it called The Gun Club. The bum that we all crammed into slates is picked to say this is dressed like wolves it s brand new from them and it s called Tiny I hear from him. From awful to know how. To fish. Going to shit in the file I haven t to think stating half Sakho was too much I. Mean. Studios by Middlesborough manager Gary monk. Paul Patrick I m sure you can hear him on 95 percent and digital radio or you can watch him live on the b.b.c. Tees Facebook page Thank you Gary moon collide in the studio this Wednesday night And that is James Leonard Hugh Ritson. Experience song and 1st act I saw today James then that it s in 20 past ball in the south to noon downstairs in the West got social club he was quite moved to poverty that I was singing along to the choruses of his songs. Intro on the b.b.c. Introducing on the Facebook one trouble 3 is a text message with the word. Kobo in the arms of Morpheus d d. That is a. I try to slow. Down. Troubled Waters. And j. . Cole instead. And slow. To a raw. Deal. The way. Our club they. Be our. A.o.r. . Free from us. Still. You. Played a couple of pop up gigs a little bit earlier here at the twister Reller festival I saw departing she had to get the train home but she got a very good day indeed by the sound of things at his b.b.c. Introducing I wasn t suggesting she was drunk by they don t sound like I was. Drunk she just had a good day it wasn t a euphemism it is Bob here on b.b.c. Tees are 95. On line Freeview 72. While we re down here at the festival all evening you know a beautiful little glass walled room in the Student Union University it s far more comfortable than our normal studio at b.b.c. I ve got Scott from a clue wreck or so to come join me on the sofa Scotland Yard refunds I kind of thing like I should show you some hospitality here. Really have you been treated appallingly here it s been looked after very well in Binay since like 11 this mornin after a 5 o clock 5 am start this morning. Slightly ball Yes Miss everybody s looked after is really well the buns have been sop. I ve heard yeah brilliant and then same picture we put a single out by earlier in the year we re absolutely yes and everything s laid in up to him Go see life and then see our boys avalanche Yeah tell us a little bit about that well clear records 1st of all because you re based down in your in Leeds Oh yeah yeah yeah I m from Stockton originally. Leeds but some years ago. 5 years ago. To start with a few bones knocking about there were amazing they weren t really getting picked up or doing the things I thought this should be doing or getting the help that they needed I thought I could do something with them so you know just not knowing anything and just tried and things of Sorts of a book off the narcs for a call trash drugs all of fled to Israel in Stockholm in recent years and years going Orion you know avalanche by smashing around yeah you ve signed up avalanche party how did your relationship with them begin. We just saw it got done all I saw were friends online before me and is that s where think of Facebook friends or people you may never meet but I ve seen them live Stockton call in a couple years ago and then the semi truck from the last e.p. Thought it was amazing and then I saw it was this time last year so much was the rela in town ouse and Jordan Kim in North up on covered in blood and I was like war on a scene before was like why. Ritual is a very clumsy shaver yet it just seems that is erroneous out of shape in this novel and seriously be absolutely fine but yeah I saw that and they were just blew my mind and I was like right this is it now if they re for it then we ll do something . And it went from Mary Lee you know they re an incendiary live act out there yeah the thing is that like when you see you hear on the record and like yeah this is some of their And then you see in my view it s just I think one of the biggest things if it was a whole recently and like there s a picture of John upon a form box like some sort of eagle over the crowd and everybody just go and it s one of the just that picture you d want to go and see the band all the since up on the wall and yeah I think live this is something else yeah and how is it ruining an independent record label. These days are times good penniless It s phone yeah yeah I mean somebody s got to do it and I support them and then I ll pass on somebody else s idea that we might get screwed and do stuff like this work with guns and it s just yeah it s as with music it s about passion is about we an interest in it it s about trying to do something because you love it and I do so that s why I do it and there s a Stockton large Does it fill you with pride and joy to say I mean things like this but also I think the local music scene you know I ve been around the music scene for 25 years now I ve never seen it in such a healthy state I can genuinely say that I absolutely agree I think there s bands coming out the minute bike Plaza. Of Kings that Chapman s been doing recently and I just think it s unreal in a minute yeah it s a massive thing to me to when we re going out and looking for places to play or send intimate to Teesside and get him playing on x. I think there s something going on there so I think it s a wonderful thing that you ve got a festival like this you know so many local bands on the bill today but they re not there because they re local bands they re there because they re good if they weren t for me they d still be in the running to play it to Mr Ellis or yeah absolutely I couldn t agree more it will look good luck with the label Good luck with the Avalanche party what are your plans for the. New Single next year so I want to go up to New Castle soon. And just decide what we re going to do we can try to make it something special so you see what I mean they aren t so nice. In a big. Part of. Your eye so it s probably better than mine when it s not right so they go on now or send them over well yeah. Through some. O.b.o. Themselves around me or they ll be able to play they ll be ructions Scott great to meet you thanks for coming out I m going to play this let s play some avalanche party this is the last single it s time so what. As of a large party taking to the stage the festival in. Time any of us struck a plane where now where avalanche party playing now the West got up stairs in the West I knew that it is b.b.c. Introducing spot for sure here on 95 f.m. D.a.b. Online Freeview 7 to 2 in our beautiful glass walled room. The festive sizeable proportion of young rebels watching those or whatever they call themselves are these the what she goes through the windows on the sofas on the beautiful look serious sofas here are glass room the student union Tom Joshua how are you sir very good thank you. So we ve got quite cosy or Tonight it s nice and yeah you and rest money and I know I said I do hope you don t mind me touching your knees in such an intimate fashion but I do know my choice. To think like a forced myself and. You didn t resist in any way shape or form. Caught the very end of your search it was sounding fantastic I had to nip back to the radio station and sort all of this nonsense out so I was I saw less of you than I would have liked but what I saw was great. Did you enjoy it yes yet really enjoyed it. If you want to from day as a as a rule have you been puttering around all day here while we were coming did we missed a lot abundantly that we wanted to see because we were doing a bit of the practice but we just went to see. The way upstairs and that was phenomenal everybody that I ve spoken to on the programme so far. Absolutely brilliant they are they what kind of stuff they do I don t know them at all it s just. Our music I don t know I don t know what you put what would you put on this today. How do you know how many in the you know I don t know. Pop music just the kind of music that you kind of like the. Yeah I m going to move over here and speak to state how I use a good thing tell you I m all right yeah enjoy enjoy your Certainly don t you know I did enjoy it all the free beer the set was fun. Brand new and only ever played the today actually for the 1st time well this is the benefits of having a practice earlier on the show but it went well. What s happening in the world of Tom Joshua anything exciting lined up. There to be I ve been writing lots of music and hopefully going to be recording some tunes and I ve been doing plenty. Yeah that s appallingly vague tell us about some of the new music how is it sounding. I m just like me just sounds like some Joshua that s the one I saw. In the job description. Who are you watching for the rest of the evening I think we want to go see avalanche party. See yet both those good and then probably just wander around and just hopefully stumble upon someone brilliant which is. The beautiful thing to do festivals I think is just kind of posture and you know if you hear beautiful music drifting out of a venue you want to go in and see what s happening in the yeah absolutely good stuff stay good to see you as always thanks for dropping into a little glass walled room here in the Students Union it s history of the festival should we play a song he also seems like a reasonable idea at this juncture doesn t it and you know I say they say a cut in which when I lined up all winter alone I was going to play is that all right it s it s a it is but it s a beautiful song and it s getting towards winter. When you can that s punk based on . We. Found Sam. Now. Clara those are. Prayers for the oh no need. To. Say the same. Song they re standing. For on. The road. And. Here s a song to. Gather cloth it s p.v.c. Cheese introducing some fish. . It s 3 o clock this afternoon at the town house here at the twister where the festival in Middlesbrough is b.b.c. Introducing Bob Fisher are 95 f.m. On line stop doing that reality she mouths it along with me every time I do it I was so predictable I wake up at 4 o clock in the morning doing this b.b.c. To I m going to do it again just because you interrupted me b.b.c. Tees introducing Bob Fisher here on 95 f.m. D.a.b. Online Freeview channel $7.00 to $2.00. If you do make music yourself upload it to b.b.c. Doc u.k. Slash. Stock of this stuff on the program every Saturday night thank you sitting on the sofa in our glass walled room or the student union of Teesside University broadcasting legend Vic Galloway Come on take it I m going to take that one on the chin and say Ok now I know I m very well indeed a love coming down to Middlesbrough love twister rela I ve been to all of them I believe here every single Yeah we have to bump into you all the time when I see you more often I see some of my family and I tell you I m sorry about that yeah I m definitely not stalking you I know it s me that stalking you really can t leave you alone I m going to say nothing to do with the band it s all to do with you to help fund I ve had a very fun day yeah I mean I had to get up early and drive down from Edinburgh so I m not really a 7 in the morning guy you know that s a normal people s waking up time but not for me it s rock n roll and I m on rock n roll time always have been so yes it was a drive down from Edinburgh and we did the conference the Un Conference if you like as part of Twister Ella which is a way for young musicians local musicians to get a bit of advice on you know their future careers really how they can perhaps get played on the radio how they can but shows what they should be doing when approaching managers booking agents etc etc So that was really good it was in this very room it was in this room yeah. And you know it s more of an informal chat just some industry professionals don t take that the wrong way. That can often scare people off you know industry professionals boring but you know really you know people Julian runs a Cluny Ross who is James tour manager and sound engineer Michael lumber who manages Tom Joshua and Father Son and helps with Idlewild and so on there s a whole range of different people who do different things within the music industry so that was the start of the day and that went really well as I say more of an informal chat Evans in the same room you know chats away after the panels and so on and then Bob it s basically bands and beers for me so it is we do we ve got some bargains in here and you have a beer in your hand all boxes ticked I know exactly yeah I m glad I m speaking to you now before before I have a single sip of beer. But yeah yeah it s been running around from venue to venue townhouse the West the the west which is I know a home away from home for loads of Scottish bands now as well as obviously bands from this area everyone loves it there is this curious link isn t there between 2 sides on lots of Scottish farms that I think has been forged by the kids us all the gold promotions and the car who s you know 50 percent of. Warming for you as a Scottish music fan it certainly is you know I would imagine bands from t. Saeed s and from the Northeast in general probably feel similar a lot of Scottish bands well Spanish Northern Irish bands. They can t really get sort of ahead in London they can t get you know on the lander down there. But there are so many other ways of building an audience spreading the word and connecting with music lovers and something like Twister Rella is a perfect opportunity for Scottish bands to come down and play in front of a completely new audience and thanks to the kids in school a solid gold and he and the whole team here. Henry Hughes over there at the moment . They seem to love a huge amount of Scottish acts which is great for our bands and you know I think it s good for the audiences down here they re not seeing the same pool of musicians are being introduced a new things all the time so it s great for everyone involved and I know the bands from Scotland come down here and they really connect to the audiences and they have a great time that s why they keep coming back and I think it s a similar kind of mentality I always think the great thing about the 2 side music scene is cut like like you say we re not particularly linked to London we re not we don t have any big cities in our area it s kind of a little scene in its own right and because of that we ve developed our own sons own our own style of creativity is a little bit similar to some of the Scottish farms that you work with well absolutely certainly I mean I live in and runs a great scene there s a great scene in Fife Aberdeen Inverness Stirling even the West Coast in the islands the main Metropolis for music in Scotland is Glasgow though I mean it s a huge city now but it has such an infrastructure venue s labels you know night spots bloggers radio people etc etc etc The kind of thing you need to create a scene and I think there are millions of scenes interacting with each other especially in Glasgow but right across Collins but the kind of operate outside London some of them just go directly to the United States or to Europe and bypass London altogether I ve got nothing against London I love the place but what I m trying to say is it s quite difficult sometimes for bands and artists from around the u.k. To get a foot in the door there and to build your audience in different parts of the country is a really useful thing and basically I mean build an audience is one way of putting it play good gigs in front of music lovers and they love music down here so it s the same in Scotland Speaking of which have you seen today that s really impressed you do you know what the thing that s just blew me away is I love this this is why I come to things like twist the reality is that I know lots of the bands on the. You know all of the Scottish bands and a lot of the bands who are local and really looking forward to see an avalanche party later on love them but I just came across a Dutch band I think it s centered around sing singer songwriter pick Blome you re you re about this is the 6th person to come in this room and say you should have seen people on they were amazing Yeah they were I mean if you like Courtney Barnet you will love it I mean it s straightforward no messing you know back to basics rock n roll bass guitar drums great songs simple locked in grooves really low slung but that kind of like a telepathic for p.c. I love it when a band just sits back on the groove and knocks and they were just like phenomenal so I went up to them this is the shows you want to miss that if you go in the music can I buy a cd or an album or whatever you are going to vinyl anything. Left in the van somewhere you can you can get it online that sort of slightly nonchalant we don t care which made me like them even more if I love that yeah they just do it because they love playing music they re not here to make a few quid yeah bless them. Bands a local band called Lovers I was recommended by I think by yourself and you know are there a good reason who is on the show as well so went to see them they were good I saw a bit of Teesside rapper called just Or Oh He s good isn t it yeah I mean I don t know what he s talking about obviously I couldn t get the action I m only the other side is just too strong for you only joking if you heard any scholarship pop song some of it I mean even people from Scotland are like What do you want to I m you know that sounded healthy as well it sounds really good there s a thriving hip hop scene here it s curious but beautiful and good and you know war hip hop is street music it s political music it s you know it s music that should be wrapped in its own tongue as well and you know there s nothing wrong with people adopting an American accent but I love it when I hear a piece. For example Great stuff are you going to recommend a Scottish band for as that are playing at Twist 2 Are they want to earlier I think what they told me about the 9th wave yet well the 9th wave played here in the university actually just not far away from where we re sitting and they re young men and women they re based in Glasgow they ve got a kind of eighty s post-punk influence lead singer looks a bit like a young Jim Courier from simple minds of the eye shadow it does have the directing and sort of dyed black hair in a kind of bulk of the moment and yet it s just quite intense it s I wouldn t say it s not parallel laughs because that s selling them short but they re real they re an intense young band making this kind of post-punk influence and they re really serious about what they re doing the building up a massive audience and Glasgow doing really well they played the whites days conference earlier in the year and I believe you know a lot of industry people in London were actually why days and particularly sort of picked that band so I played them on my show my b.b.c. Radio Scotland show and yeah I thought they were great only actually because I was watching lovers only costs of half their set but I have seen them loads of times before but I think people enjoy the fantastic stuff all right this is the 9th wave it s called Lie It s very good to see you as always lovely to see all that is. That is the man. Way. Recommended far as by Vic Galloway who was now wandered off into the Teesside night with a kind of irony we are down at the twister Well a festival middle spoke today b.b.c. Tees introducing its pub for a show on 95 f.m. D.a.b. Online Freeview 7 to 2 as well joined live here in my little glass walled room at the Student Union by a Bolton who played the town house in Middlesbrough a little bit earlier this evening Jordan Allen how are you gents Good evening Bob. Good stuff like the coming over right you are Jordan in person that s me want to introduce the rest of the band for us as your Karen here is on bass Nathan on drums and Danny. Alright Danny how you doing good stuff how was it for you tonight is great money is the 1st time we ve been in Middlesborough when really. It should be good it bodes well we re just getting towards our 1st line so Also it s nice to get out so these parts of the country afternoon hopefully win over some new fans when does the start December so we re not actually comes the middle we re going to Newcastle because youth thinking all the social I know. Someone s gonna play I don t know no it s an example yeah you take some culture to Newcastle Yeah they will seize it like a like an oasis in a desert. Though I know that s gross so congratulations on it tell me a little bit about the band How long have you be making music together so I started off as a case of when I was about 17 that s why we named Jada we did wonder how the rest of these fine gentlemen felt about the artist following you know how many other spiritual leader exactly but no so we and then we kind of found one couple years ago we got signed by a management company called Brown so on what s after me using the pole. Yeah it s all kind of been on the up for now really so we ve kind of reputation a month or so much on show ever asked what it s about really so are you all from Bolton. Originally I know from. A very messy night. I will I can t possibly tell you the details of it. Like a Vietnam flashback the whole race is too great for how did you how did you hold find each other but you started by. Ironically I was in the phone call if in thinking it was an apartment in the ne I know. You qualified hairdresser or was it just you know it was it wasn t just a friendly arrangement it was genuine I just work in the now and then. Mind actually I ve got kind of very thick hair that s difficult to do with but there s a bald patch at the back that s you know it s finally to be honest I can do deal with it I don t know where. I m going to do any. More I mean not a hint of change in anywhere but if there was just nothing to be ashamed of you know embrace it I think I m do you do you a story of Gobseck with your haircuts Now do you cut the head of anybody else in the band or is it just you know that you do everybody you re a handy man to have on to know that it s Ok to literally sit in the back of them we ve got some where we don t. Know right now in the old cell rooms and no one. I was at sea this is always the thing you know if there are 2 barbers in town one of them has got brilliant hat one of them has got terrible have you go to the one with terrible hair because the other one cuts it that s you know it s simple reasoning it s Danny I m trying to teach Danny I want insolence we can call . Our course I must commend you on your versatility here because they ve all got very different states and. So. On and you know. We just call the company though you know we do take quarter of an inch off it every few weeks you know and it is not in court for. Salt spray. No it s good it s healthy got well. So I feel like I ve got slightly sidetracked it. Was a bit of you from different parts of. Lancashire quite clearly where you basically get Manchester as your main stomping ground these days we were receiving Bolton for a long time you obviously we needed to find a place in Manchester so we moved into a shoot you know in the Northern cause so that s where we re based all at the moment and we re caught in that but without regard in that we were in bathroom while their own way was Gabriel s place which is welcome to the real world I mean it was cool to be Ok but it s not just that how do you have any wild nights out in Bath I had a couple. James wine vaults I didn t know do you know as much as I love why I didn t make it so I don t just sell wine No I was once told I sorry this is again getting sidetracked but I feel I should tell you this I once spent a week in Bath which is a beautiful city and I was told that Johnny Depp spends a lot of time there are going to choose day night the pub quiz at the James s wine vault so I went down there on a Tuesday night and there was a bloke that looks. Honestly start doing the pub quiz and it was a guy in the cost Johnny to Johnny Depp and Johnny is doing the pub course in the Senate James wine vaults so you know I was going off to open a conversation with him here so I went over to him so you know and that s some kind of Purell question you know you know the answer questions. Anyway you know or you don t believe or you do it s all right no that s not Johnny Depp unless he s really got into character. So what are your plans for kind of releases goes off on to. Anything lined up to come out to coincide with that right so we put an e.p. Out in February called Livin La Vida Bowen So that s one of the trucks off it was just like kind of really caught fire we never put out a single so the party s now single is called Rosie and then we just. What you ate 2 days ago recalled in seem all trucks were the whole backlog starts up so if you. Really believe it was as I m so so full of a couple or leases out of all that now show good stuff well look great to meet you . So that is Jordan Allen It s called 110 ways to make things better and thanks to Jordan Allen folk popping round into our little glass room to the side university they were good fun. Introducing. On 95 f.m. D.a.b. Online Freeview 7 to 2 as well we are the twister Ella festival until 10 o clock they see I m joined on my sofa this beautiful look serious so far by Dylan cartlidge and Jordan as well I saw the pair of you playing well it was here wasn t in the Student Union Yeah gotta get me bearing say and you were fabulous to enjoy yourself it was for me it was tremendous We had a great time. And we just I really enjoyed it was actually probably the best player. Logs of people enjoying it. Much but yeah yeah I know you say that you did an extraordinary bit of freestyle a god. Which started out as a rap about reason May s cough and then then it can you remember any over no. I couldn t tell you what I was saying oh what was happening to. People enjoyed it you know they seem to respond well so. It went on for quite a long simply did and they sometimes are going these tangents and don t realize that it s not just me. In the middle in the middle of my bedroom somewhere on a stage in this people actually waiting for tomorrow do you do it though it rhymed it was. You know it s kind of like you know you never know if it s going to go right or wrong or how many wrong ones believe me there s been many atrocious phrased but you know it s a bit like debris of a cliff every time you do it you don t know it s going to go wrong and you just don t know I think if you jump off a cliff till then I ve got a fair idea of what s going to happen that oh hang on he s calling. Well have you been called away to a more interesting radio into their. Profession love me you know professionally. It s to us through anything could happen after your face when he was free styling Jordan was a picture to behold you any idea where any of that was Go never no one ever stood then go you know so my. Reference in Morse the time like war is even and I ll go on and on and I ll just get funny and then it gets a point where he s like I ll stop now or. Take a swig and I m like This is the next I m about the pair of you have got a great double act going on how long we ve been working together. I think the problem working together for as long as I ve been doing this which is maybe a little over a year year and a half and we start working together became really good friends and he just happened to have a book which I didn t have. It was a joy to be. Oh yeah yeah. We just it s just progressed from there and we just you know friendship and you know Cookie qualities about tried to share that with people the shows where did you find each other that because either you re for a you re from ideal and but you re based over in Manchester for a long time was it Manchester that you met was. All basically don t live in stork up until about. And they. Moved in this family we saw work in the same players like Sam bank which was horrible for which is probably should alright no quite Don t mention it. Yeah we. Invited them round to my flat just sounds like old John would like to start with sticks and stuff like that and then it just turned out he was doing some stuff by himself want me to play with him realise I could sing Zaka start singing. With him and rocking with him it s just progressed from there really and it s like got to a point I get this guy right here is the one who does everything just stand there and take half a block I m no it s a glorious thing that you ve got going on the 1st time I heard. Your recordings under your own name I just it sounds like a Teesside back. You know you know a lot people of responded well to the recordings and you know. I tried to make it as fresh and true to myself as possible and yet people seem to enjoy this phone doesn t like that I think you can read quality Well you know you can believe it always kind of like try to you know be happy and make over. My music good stuff you pay to be wearing round your neck it s a comb with a sticker of Mario on a good look on them and. Is this is my main. I got to say Dylan It is spectacular that you re sporting It s become a full time job. On a chain around my neck it s not because. I know I know I want to show the world I have an afro it s generally because it takes me and I wasn t sure if it was like a kind of Public Enemy or you know if you wanted a cloak. All right so I m. Doing this article Flavor Flav could have done many other things to tell the time the wear giant pluck around his neck I generally lose everything and I need to do the combers a genuine practical consideration. Congratulations on the music the pair of you Americans together Congratulations on the congratulations on the car and with the sticker of Mario on it was brilliant to say the review I could graduations on Sunday it was a fabulous life experience to be part of thank you very much to have been a. Jordan baby C.T. s Let s play a bit of Dylan Carter so I ve got a current member which truck I put on the I think it s a strawberry blonde Snape we re going to play here. I love. You. Kids. Keep coming To keep the club. But. Also to disappear you come from Stardust you saw some. Like I was praising sometimes you want. To say something you tell me whether it s a place going to we want to play your cards or great numbers look at me like you really. Tried to say something wrong or lames. That is Dylan cartilage and that strawberry blonde snip thank you to Dylan Jordan for joining us on the look serious so far here in the glass walled room. At the University student union we are down at the twister rela festival 95 f.m. D.a.b. On the line Freeview servant. So yes. It s one of the organizers of Twister rela Henry Carden is with me on the sofa How are you you re looking you re looking remarkably collected if you don t mind me saying so thanks Nami by this stage out of had a few drinks yesterday I often have actually been working hard which is unusual for me it s just really it s been good so I previous twister as you have basically flown stood around the festival site with a large gin and tonic in your hand like Lord Snooty Yeah it s a whisky. Normally we have a good team of stage manager and everything health has meant we were all really a couple of people down today. It s been a lot of hard work I mean understeer which you know used to that really are you. Know it s being good to have enjoyed it and I think all the hard work and feels worth it when you see one enjoy themselves this is very nice joke and you have had a sensational job as over with to us through our it s been fabulous I ve been down a since 1 o clock this afternoon for me as a punter it s absolutely run like clockwork Congratulations that s the Emmys and if no one knows that they might have been. In there then that s nice it shows we ve done everything right place this is. For right thing. Is this the one that you re proudest of so far as they got better and better as they ve gone along I think so I think it s been really nice for me to kind of a book in policy of booking bands that nobody s heard of but then you can see like the bunny played earlier ones where I got quite emotional still to watch them early I was thinking why if we put these on a normal gig maybe 5 or 6 people to watch and if led to a room full of people and I think it s very nice that we can get done small over the contract. And all over the world in fact people from like South Africa Belgium Holland Iceland next in the main room here really has not. Wanted Icelandic so from Iceland that is absolutely if you could let me know if it s a Reykjavik all the way through absolutely So I think it s really nice to get these bands going to Middlesbrough and if everything enthusiastic crowds and friends are you know it s been great you know it s a wonderful thing we talked about it on the program last week when you and. Your co-founder. Were in the studio with us last week I was so you know you took a huge gamble on this 3 years ago back in 2014 when I started you put all of your own money up for their schools because you thought Middlesbrough needed a big festival here we all 3 years on and I think it s really taken off it must be hugely fulfilling it s incredibly satisfying and it s going so well but equally it s still a big financial risk so it s yeah we broke even some time this way you can and that s when I say broke even like mean and you don t take any money out of it it just means we haven t lost any money I think it s a lot of work for the well again it s worth it I guess it was you know you re both very proud Middlesbrough where you are not you but you know what I mean I ve lived in middle where. I m all my adult life of legitimacy of course you know you re both proud. Bleeds red Bob father. It would say Middlesbrough all the way through. Our journey when I think it s a wonderful thing the pair of you doing for the town of Middlesbrough and you ve put Middlesbrough on the map. You know on the national scale people know about twister well all over the country and having people like Vic Galloway coming along we start working with the p.r. Company this year who are going to do a bit more with us next year but they have just been in there ticking for a human being and I think you know if it s all just that this was happening. It s pretty crazy that you get people from a better country coming to Middlesborough. I m glad that people can see in a good light does it I mean do you go do you know where people buy tickets from do you get a breakdown of where your your audience is travelling from we get all the tickets and so we can get a phone then they re paid in the next year we ll talk about the music because we ve had people from Norfolk people from right up in the Scottish Highlands in Wales right down in Brighton just all over the country. It s a brilliant thing who ve you managed to see today even though you ve got a really busy day you must of course somebody somewhere there was an amazing Belgian singer called Naomi Wolf city to pop obsession of all she was incredible she just happens to begin middles for this wake right with another Mills musician so we bullied her in it in a session she was incredible and then. She was upset you mean everybody s mentioned she was sort of something credible in the drama was phenomenal It was really really good Mary enjoyed the 9th where forementioned yantra I think who else for yes they ve all been great media Corben was brilliant when they are Pixie did kick start our pop sessions and she was great and fingers bled because she was rocking out so much on the ice so she was walking back to the railway stations again and when she was so showing me all of the elastoplast on our fingers she did she she she suffered for her art today she did but it was worth it we said to our just play 15 minutes and she was enjoying it so much she played for about 45 minutes. Of the bomb and walked around the block. To get on stage well a few people came into the parks and just one of the population need ticket and they came in they were just mesmerized by even though they had no idea what was going on I think that s a sign of a good performer it is good way off to now. Home but now I m going to watch train my fin the union x I assuredly that s an extravagant after show party so why why you and on de Kock and then a huge vats of crime to month until 4 o clock in the there s a both in a social club so. Yes you are invited by the listeners welcome it s strictly invite only for the both in this new kind of I have met some of my listeners you made a very wise decision. After all the I know I regret to say you as always congratulations honestly it s been a it s been a truly brilliant thank you. B.b.c. Les Paul somebody again right at the start of the day. Conway who played at 2 o clock in the townhouse in Middlesbrough hear the twister relative Festival and she was truly super She was still make so we ll play this this. Louis. That is the truly brilliant Conway that s hunger she played at the twister Well a festival in Middlesbrough a. Very early this afternoon 2 o clock I think it was at the town house in Middlesbrough a town center I just saw I walked in a couple of songs into her sex I ve been watching at Wrigley wharf and she was singing beautifully with her guitar and therefore the last 2 songs of us say she put the guitar down she had a Loop Station looped around backing vocals it sounded extraordinary and I think I ve heard more people today talking about Eve Conway than virtually any other artist genuinely thrilled for a right it is Bob Fisher here on the b.b.c. Introducing program we are on 95 f.m. D.a.b. Line. Over to. The festival. In a beautiful glass walled room Teesside university student union Everyone s been very kind to us we ve got a lovely sofa and sitting on it with me from Cape Cod It s child male How are you I m good thank you Bob I m good I m alright thanks How do you like this so for a do indeed it s good might nick it Saturday Well I reckon if me and you back up the van outside we can smuggle those down the stairs without too much trouble and we ll probably get one of the armchairs in there as well I reckon we could get Henry Nixon stuff Mr Henry Carden 50 percent of the master 50 percent of the collective mastermind behind to a stellar 1st of all he s got a decent job today as then a very good job he s done a very good job he s been watching kike or really good or really yeah you re missing out on all this I ve been sitting in this little room with the class walls for the last the last hour and a half the night tell me about and though I know it s only about. A made for being put in little rooms with glass walls. Come to his old eventually tell me about Keiko than Kai cause rares set was work it just. Isn t the same level as a lab record. Really a little bit a little man yeah and yeah it s nice to catch him we don t get as many people as you want yeah tell me about running around your lawn and you know of course you have cost so if you laugh they ve got lots people around giving you food and running around this what Bob doesn t tell you on the radio guys he s cosseted we already know you re closer to 25 assistants from then around just about Rianna gave me a chair or on I had that with a bit chilly day I was all about to eat since 4 o clock this afternoon Come on guys I know yeah but your idea is. How was your earlier on it was really good thanks Bob Yeah it was good it was really true few technical if you get it professional you can rise above these things you rise above you try you can try try. But if you play I play the sound of Yeah yeah it was really nice that someone who can watch it when I say it was everything in there yeah he just don t know these things they. Sometimes expect to walk into a room 4 people be watching you and then when it s not 4 people and it s a few 100 it s made oh yeah it s going to go out so that So you say these things may last time you came into the studio with the thing you playing at the house of blah blah yeah yeah and it sold out so quickly you were contemplating putting a 2nd tonight on which you didn t and I think I still think you should have done a great you know quick from the yeah maybe I mean maybe more business might. Mean I know you can ask a gas can there you can and yeah if you got looking after Yeah you need to book their ideas. So what are the plans for the future that invest some money in a purpose built arena for those in Middlesborough just so for. All the assistance that work can do you know and that s Ok I can sublet my team to you. Like yeah I was put on the scene or juice and stickers everywhere now you know so next next and the single song. Called Searchlight coming out in the vendor spin pencil then. Yeah it s a pencil you know it s things like that some of your farms out. There are. Outside the window here in the low blows. And yes I ve got. Seen quite an event yes just pile the video of flowers last single Yeah it seems like people are liking it which is great I would demand or did the video fantastic genius and then they re not sitting on their dog god. Today they re 23rd of December the eve of Christmas Eve Yeah you get the Georgian headline in oh I think you should give that should probably give that I mentioned. We ve got some supports on there which is really really cool one of them I can t announce just yet I can t mention. Them him those people. Might possibly be a male but your being on gender specific non gender Yeah actually I try and be trying to be. As well we can say that all of us are playing it. Like one of my favorite bands from the area and then a good friend of mine James called a choir of costs and he played in bands for years behind it in Sweden and it coming out of the gate to open up and that s on the 23rd December tickets are available now so fantastic Christmas Levy face to get really excited about Christmas even. With a lot of the attention isn t it yes it is good stuff well it just great to see you as always thanks for thanks for coming over thank you very much use pleasure where you have to now. Here in the us and I ve got a drink I haven t this is a pulling down at the other festival in our glass walled room the site student you say on the sofa I am a little tired ball but I m not going to lock them in a long day for you extremely long days at the 7 am this morning and I m not really a morning person Good grief that s inhumane as far as I m concerned if you had a fun day I have it s been really nice and you know what twists around the last year when because I d never been before this is your 2nd to it s the realm of yeah so I feel like a little bit more of a pro now and. It s just so nice this festival is so good everyone s super nice to come down and everyone that gets involved you say all oh most of them most of them and I said no they re all great bass just really nice and it s got a really good community feel and it s just been super super super fun yeah who have you enjoyed seeing today who stood out for you that you ve called while you ve been wandering around well I didn t have much time to on deck so happy I m working quite a lot of you be recording interviews and taking photos and films all over the show but I did manage to catch love has Yeah yeah and they they re just I really like them much really like the sound and every time I see them live I think I get better so I think it s really interesting to see where they progress to they re a beautiful jingle jangle you pore through it they ve got just wonderful harmonies they work gorgeously together Yeah absolutely so I would say love those Yeah there s gold usually a word I start to doubt myself I don t know it s getting late isn t it is what we just discovered because we ve got like the clock. Which you know when Dylan cartilage was out his coma around his neck so I put a clock around my neck and. We tend to be flavor Flay from Public Enemy and I think I broke it doing the because I ll be waffling on here I m playing tunes and I kept looking at that clock thinking 2020 plus 90 s is really slow program and then we have been 20 plus 9 for 20 minutes and what time is it now I don t trust like clock it s all just under quartz it s done right and I m going to I don t trust my wife don t know what I look Joan proud of our esteemed engineer. Clark this is an atomic clock that he s brought right 943 and 34 seconds let s play a couple of tracks back to back here I have absolutely no recollection of what to get he did member what I said to Mike back in the studio to line up to play next because I can t remember it s all. Did you say. See this is why I m here somebody is listening so what he s actually paying attention this is the. Who play . Did they play at the town house is called home to you. Every incident. You know you re going to get in the streets. There s a. Fish. Tanks . And troops going. Into. The woods just to. a Great been brilliant I would have if I were on waltz and not playing heavy help us but they called me on waltz you know when they on moments they were very good out of the super. We re the headliners I think it was. Last year we saw them come on try say Come and join us on the radio ace photographer Tracy Hyman is with us all right try super Yes we seen in a few times often I think it might be you know for you know. The guy. On holiday in Australia or something and it contacted me and he says just get get people to go see this band The really be the really really good and they re going to be going to be massive and they oftentimes they found in the came obviously came away down from Kiss and that s the place that s you know they were. One of the Cuban knights from the ludicrously remote part of Scotland source so wake things it s a long Yeah but they appreciate it and they said how much they said that the plane medals are many times and things are many times and played Newcastle several times and. You know say what you like let her dictate what you can and can t say on the radio Robert Nichols You know your own. You know that better fund Yeah yeah it s great to see obviously fantastic opportunity to see some really good local bombs and I don t mean that if you re going to wear play in a packed audience is completely really good peer systems where people really get behind them so it s fantastic and the source and some great group of people. Henry Henry Carden organizer of crystal rela you know organize all psycho organized crime because just out there you have. Recourse or you heard more people talking about. Than virtually any other actor that really well she was astounding Yeah I think I generally break through performance for you ve called waited it was Revelator and yet she was so modest afterwards ridiculous claim the credit for if she certainly showed but obviously it s a really good time Joshua was always always delivers whether he s on his own or tonight with his with his big band you know Tom Joshua s big blonde big band doing songs about the number 17 bus going past his house and the McDonald s copout and stuff like that and yeah he says that the star and yet the seem to be such a fantastic you know the that the lyrics and everything it s just so profound it s about 7 books going past mounds you going to tell me as well the other band everybody has mentioned to me I want to be in there for the last 2 I was at Pitt blah oh yeah well I didn t know I didn t know it s all sort of. Been a friend with since since you gave me a lift in the 19 seventies and gave me a lift and I m it gave me a lift from from Bradford to Leeds to see is bound up. In Bradford because he was big There were big jump a pound pit bull mix the singer and she s got the bond with her but she is pit blah yeah she s the. The daughter there when it was it was a Dutch pop star who I think I m actually supporting in 2 weeks time and yeah so I m exhausted so it will circle. And sell are you telling me that you ve seen his daughter who was a little spread Absolutely. Marvelous being your pick of the day Tracey and also the sea monsters that didn t go off and I thought they were really good and out lie is that how you pronounce it it s very strange I was a bit bitter about that let s go with outlaw you sent me and yeah it was just packed out for the people. In my keeping you both away from Avalanche party here. You want to get in well you know it s going to be absolutely. Also when in fact the launch party because it s just such a small room unless it s a big band they re going to take that thing yeah suspects look good to see the pair of you know I m going to I m going to wander down my little glass walled room university student union because early in the program I read a text out from college Jad our regular listeners. Say they wouldn t be able to hear the text being read out because they were actually in the townhouse twister l. Or they could mean to a little glass room bonafide t b b c t s listeners here in person how are you both hello he well I m here for you and I thank you for talks with. Have you had a fun day it s been fantastic and has been you pick of the day so far well so far lovers. And. A few months ago another brilliant band they absolutely are fantastic. And how well. Our youngest What are you doing for you for a long time we thought it was the youngest listeners of the b.b.c. To use introducing programs. 11. If you have to think about. The wrong way around Elinor s 11 How do you know and yet Eleanor said she was the youngest listener that Harriet piped up and said I listen as well and I m going to say to you she was a listener but she saw it like one does off every now and then so I let it happen so that all of the. Brilliance of thanks so much which you and again so much over the years and your very Card thanks for thanks for dropping as a line on a regular basis as well you have to now really don t want to.
