Baked a cake, full of Natural Ingredients . Make your own muesli . Is life too short . How much of these Ultra Processed foods do you eat, do you worry about the risks, how much do you know, or is convenience and cost absolutely key in this busy and expensive world . That is in a nutshell. In touch. Good morning, it is the nations phone in and here is the news from nick hatfield. Good morning. Prince harry is expected to give evidence at the high court this week in his long running legalfight at the high court this week in his long running legal fight over privacy. The duke of sussex was mirror Group Newspapers used illegal methods to gain information, they are contesting the claims. Russia says it has stopped a large scale ukrainian offensive in the Donetsk Region of the country. Moscow aims to have killed 250 ukrainian soldiers, kyiv has not commented on the claims. Examples say gcse and a level papers being sold online are fake. Bbc research has found students are being conned out of hundreds of pounds on social media. Ofcom says scams like this are becoming more common. And rishi sunak is expected to claim later that his plan to stop small boats crossing the channel is working but in a speech in kent he will say that more work needs to be done. Figures compiled by the bbc suggests the number of people arriving in small boats has dropped by about a quarter compared to this time last year. When i woke up this morning i was listening to the radio, saw a bit on the telly, Ultra Processed foods, what exactly are we talking about . There is increasing Scientific Research that says, not good, we are a very unhealthy country when it comes to food anyway in comparison to other parts of the continent and the world indeed, as you well know. And is this a little bit nanny state, some people are saying . If nanny were to have a massive hobnailed boots and were to tell us what to do and to ban this Ultra Processed food, what difference would it make to the nations health, i wonder . Difference would it make to the nations health, iwonder . Im just looking at some of the arguments for it, kind of Healthy Eating or arguments not against it is probably arguments not against it is probably a better way of putting it. Healthy eating can be expensive, fresh food increasingly prices, Ultra Processed foods tend to last longer as well. Buying in bulk, less likely to waste food, food waste is a massive issue. A lot of people cant afford the fuel to have the oven on four lengthy batch cooking sessions, whatever they are called. Microwave is cheaper, too. So, lets speak to carole jones, is cheaper, too. At the vale pantry we help families different take on it. At the vale pantry we help families that. Different take on it. At the vale | pantry we help families that are disadvantaged financially with food. Now, very often you will see somebody you think, they cant be in any type of food poverty because they are, lets say, well built. But actually they tend to lead their lives on Ultra Processed food which are very calorie rich and not particularly good for you. So, we work in a rather different way in that we supply a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meats, fish, and vegetables, fresh meats, fish, and we are encouraging people that actually it is very easy and it is quick, you can cook something that is nutritious, you dont have to live out of a packet. But there will always be the kids that want the oven chips or their ready made pizza, but we do what we can to help people actually feel confident enough to create something from scratch with fresh ingredients, and once they do that, actually, that has quite a transformational effect. Because very often, it is notjust, it is not money, very often it is a lack of education. Is it is not money, very often it is a lack of education. So, what we do, we have got together recipe bags for our mums and dads, and step by step, every ingredient needed to cook that meal, and when theyve actually made it, they feel very good about themselves, it raises their confidence, and when we see them do that, we see people making better food choices as well. 50. Who alleges he has been the victim of Phone Hacking. Tom symonds is our correspondent. So, hes appearing today, this is quite a princely precedent, isnt it . ~ , quite a princely precedent, isnt it . ~ , y. , quite a princely precedent, isnt it . , y. ,. , it . Well, firstly, nicky, we are not entirely sure he will appear it . Well, firstly, nicky, we are not entirely sure he will appear today, he is due to be there in the next few days. First of all we will hear Opening Statements and then he will be after that, so it might be tomorrow. Youre right about being a precedent, first time for Something Like more than 100 years that a Senior Member of the royal family has appeared in a witness box and given evidence. And he will face close Cross Examination, that will be the main event, the Cross Examination of his claim that in 33 stories written about his private life over the last few decades, that those stories were gathered by illegal methods. For example, private digging out his information and Phone Hacking, accessing his Voice Messages using a guest in number. Though, that is the battle line. The mirror Group Newspapers barrister is likely to attack on the basis that these stories were not gathered illegally. He is likely to say that actually journalists at these newspapers, the daily mirror, the Sunday Mirror and the people, used their sources as journalists should do, to find stories, sources perhaps at the palace within prince harrys group of friends or perhaps people he met in nightclubs or in the military. That will be the case, i think. But its going to be very close Cross Examination, it is going to take hours, but prince harry is somebody who has made clear really tjy somebody who has made clear really by taking on three different Newspaper Groups pretty much at once that he wants to have his day in court, prove his case, the is a man on a mission in this respect. Yes, he is on a mission, isnt he . He definitely is, this is the son of course of princess diana, who always had concerns about press intrusion. He said in his book that he realised he had a case fairly recently against some of these newspapers for using illegal methods against him, and its important to understand that the mirror group, mirror Group Newspapers, now owned by reach plc, once trinity mirror, that that company has accepted and apologised the use of unlawful methods, in 2015, following another case at this court. It accepted that there had been Phone Hacking and the use of private investigators. What it doesnt accept is thatjournalists told their editors, desk editors, senior editors and that executives knew. So, the real argument is about what this company knew about what was going on and the level to which it might have affected things, which might affect damages down the line. He is certainly going to be appearing this week, possibly tomorrow, then, thomas . Certainly, we have been tomorrow, then, thomas . Certainly, we have been given tomorrow, then, thomas . Certainly, we have been given conflicted we have been given conflicted information about whether it will be today or not. You will remember when he appeared at the other bit of the high court some months ago in the case against associated newspapers, he took us all by surprise, nobody was expecting him to come in person to hear the Opening Statements, this time, you can see how many journalists and press and media there are here, he is certainly not taking us by surprise but we are still not sure when he is going to turn up. Were talking about a whole variety of cancers, Heart Disease, strokes, dementia, and it is what we heard earlier as well from caroljones quite the way we behave, the way we learn, the way we concentrate, it feels into so many aspects of our lives. Sam in portsmouth, Sue In Bridlington good money to both of you. Sam, carole, you can come in on this is well, but sam, first off, when people say, we havent got time for cooking, we havent got time for preparing ingredients, what do you make of that . I mean, i would like to empathise with people who may think that they struggle to afford unprocessed food and people who may think that they dont have time to cook and things like that but i dont think its true, to be completely honest. Im a very busy quy completely honest. Im a very busy guy, but if your health truly matters for you, you will always find the time to actually get in the kitchen and cook your own meals. And yes, you can argue that the price of ingredients has gone up massively, which it has, and it has actually been stretching me a little bit, but so has the price of ready meals and Ultra Processed foods as well. So, thatis Ultra Processed foods as well. So, that is no cheaper than actually cooking your own meal, and even if you factor in the cost of electricity, if you work it out, it is often half the price of what buying these Microwave Meals usually costs and you can actually control all of the ingredients that are in your food, all of the ingredients that are in yourfood, so, a lot of these highly Processed Foods contain ingredients that are not found in nature and that are not found in nature and that human beings never evolved to eat or digester, usually highly industrial, toxic seed oils, all of these emulsifiers, which arent made from eggs and are not things we naturally find in nature, usually really, really damaging notjust of the body but especially to the gut, and a lot of these added sweeteners and a lot of these added sweeteners and things like that really, really disrupt the microbiome of the gut as well. Investigations continue into the deaths of a boy and a girl pulled from the senior bournemouth. Welcome to the programme. Holly willoughby is hosting itv s this morning for the First Time SincePhillip Schofield resigned from the programme after he revealed he had lied about an affair with early younger colleague. Her co host today and other guest presenters will fill in over the next few weeks and months. Lets go and have a listen to how that programme is starting this morning. We gave our love and support to someone this morning who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from itv and to step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process. And it is equally hard to see the toll that it has taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal, for the health and well being of everyone. I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us and we can find strength in each other. And from my heart, can ijust say thank you for all of your kind messages and thank you for being here this morning. Myself, josie, dermot, alison, craig and every Single Person who works on this show will continue to work hard every single day to bring you the show that we love. So on that note, josie. So, here all we can do now is be the family that we are. So, here is l that we are. Exactly. So, here is what we have that we are. Exactly. So, here is what we have got that we are. Exactly. So, here is what we have got coming that we are. Exactly. So, here is what we have got coming up. I that we are. Exactly. So, here is. What we have got coming up. Many that we are. Exactly. So, here is what we have got coming up. Many of us enjoyed the sunny weather this weekend but if you have hayfever. Holly willoughby, clearly quite emotional. Lets bring in our reporter in the newsroom who has been listening into that. Clearly quite a difficult statement for Holly Willoughby to make, talk us through it . I dont know if callum can hear me. Holly willoughby has been on a break for a couple of weeks on holiday over the last two weeks on holiday over the last two weeks while this controversy has played out, Phillip Schofield, obviously did a long interview with the bbc the other day telling how he had not told any of his colleagues about his affair with a younger colleague, including Holly Willoughby, because there had been some questions about why we have not heard from holly forum a while and then we had the statement on instagram a few days later, she was saying in that that she had asked phillip directly about the affair, when she first heard about it, and she said, i asked him directly about it and he told me that it was not true. And that it has been very helpful now to have found out that this was a lie. So the start of the programme was holly very much talking about trying to get back to a place of happiness and magic, as she talked about, on the programme, and taking strength in each other, sitting alongsidejosie, who is standing in at the moment, we dont know how long that is going to go on for, there may be different presenters over the next weeks and months, Phillip Schofield presented the programme for 20 years, he talked about the relationship that he had with his younger colleague as being unwise but not illegal. He talked a lot about the impact that it has had on him since this has all come out, he talked about feeling like he has lost everything, he has talked about how his career is over, quite an emotional conversation that he had with amol rajan of the bbc in a 45 minute interview where he talked a lot about what had happened and why he had kept everything a secret and how difficult it had been for him and his relationship with his wife and also with his relationship with holly who, over the years, they have been very proud to show how well they get on with each other, theyve been very close, that there was a large part of it, so we have also had the itv bosses talking about their reaction, some criticism from former colleagues about the way that they have handled all of this, we know that the boss of itv will be going before Parliamentary Committee on the 14th ofjune, she is going to be asked questions from mps talking about the broadcasters approach to safeguarding and also the way that complaints were handled following scofields exit and we also know that itv has instructed a barrister to carry out an external review of the facts and we have had some criticism from former colleagues about a toxic culture, some people have described, and they have denied this and itv also said that they did investigate this, they looked into the claims about Phillip Schofields relationship with his much longer colleague a while ago and both sides had denied it. Much younger. We can have another listen to jasmines statement at the start of the programme today. That morning, josie, thank you for being here. Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you 0k . Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you ok . I hope so. It feels very and strange indeed sitting here without phil. I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like i have, shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the well being of people on all sides of what has been going on, and full of questions. You, me and all of us at this morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from itv and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process. And its equally hard to see the toll that it has taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal, for the health and well being of everyone. I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other. Yes, i think the overwhelming thing that came i telling the truth . Yes, i think the | overwhelming thing that came out telling the truth . Yes, i think the. Overwhelming thing that came out of that was the programme and hollys wish to rebuild a relationship with the audience. She started off by saying, are you ok . Ended up by talking about a new chapter and hoping to get back to the warmth and magic that people are familiar with, from the show, and just even from her point of view was saying thank you for all your messages, it was very much trying to not be holly or the programme making comment on what has happened but trying to rebuild that bond of trust, that strength with the audience which of course is crucial, absolutely crucial to a show like this morning. And of course in many ways they might well feel slightly limited in what they can say at the moment, as we have been hearing there is an external investigation being undertaken by a senior barrister into everything that went on through the rumours and the allegations through two Phillip Schofields leaving this morning and resigning from itv. And also this was a topic they knew they couldnt avoid, this morning prides itself on talking about the big issues that people are talking about at this is one of the biggest ones that has been fascinating the public notjust this morning, viewers, for the past few weeks. Overwhelmingly, a statement that the audience matter to them and trying to rebuild that bond of trust with them. And to them and trying to rebuild that bond of trust with them. To them and trying to rebuild that bond of trust with them. And as you mentioned. Bond of trust with them. And as you mentioned, the bond of trust with them. Initially they welcomed, or said part . No, it is not a lot. Initially they welcomed, or said they they welcomed, or said they accepted, Phillip Schofields resignation, they said at the time that they had investigated the allegations that had been made, that he was having a relationship with a younger colleague on itv, but that both of them had vehemently denied that anything was going on, and giving really the overall impression that there was little more they could have done, they said that all they found was rumour and hearsay, which they felt was not enough for them to be able to act on. Since then they have announced this external inquiry, to be led by a senior barrister, we will see an executive from itv appearing before the commons, culture, media and Sport Select Committee tomorrow. That is actually a session that is about forthcoming media legislation but it seems inevitable that they may have to face a few questions about all of this, but more pertinently, the following week, dame carolyn mccourt, the chief executive of itv, has been called in front of the committee to talk purely about this morning this morning, and everything that has been going on. Morning, and everything that has been going on morning, and everything that has been going on. Where do you think this leaves the been going on. We heard Holly Willoughby talking about a new chapter, putting everything behind us, there will be a certain amount of interest, of course, in what goes on over the next few weeks over the commons select committee, and when that eventual itv report comes out, and they did say to staff there that the findings of that would be shared. It is going to be difficult to say, because in the end, this morning is the kind of show that has a fairly loyal audience who enjoy the kind of mix that that show has and whether what has happened with Phillip Schofield will irretrievably break that formula and make audiences move away, who can say . We will look back in six months time and see what has happened, has the programme survive, has the programme thrived because it has been put talked about so much, or have the audience slowly drifted away because they felt it is not really a show for them any more . They felt it is not really a show for them any more . Thank you very much, for them any more . Thank you very much. Lizo for them any more . Thank you very much, lizo mzimba, for them any more . It is hard to know the end of the contract. It is hard to know because as an entertainment journalist to know because as an entertainment journalist we kind of exist in this bubble. Journalist we kind of exist in this bubble, we hear so many stories of what bubble, we hear so many stories of what has bubble, we hear so many stories of what has gone on behind the scenes so this what has gone on behind the scenes so this is what has gone on behind the scenes so this is all what has gone on behind the scenes so this is all interesting and it is a sort so this is all interesting and it is a sort of so this is all interesting and it is a sort of business story watching a brand a sort of business story watching a brand either fall into freefall or survive brand either fall into freefall or survive something so calamitous. So, as a business story it is interesting got to be a viewer at home interesting got to be a viewer at home where, day after day you tune in for home where, day after day you tune in for these home where, day after day you tune in for these people, they are your friends. Yes, it is in that building just behind us where the | building just behind us where the trial has been taking place, this isnt actually the first day of the trial, it has been going on for a couple of weeks, but we are keeping an eye out for any cars that come down this road because we are waiting for prince harry to turn up, i think given that the hearing is going to be starting in around ten minutes time, at 10. 30 this morning, he may not come for this mornings session in court, but he might well turn up this afternoon. You can see, we can show you the scene just behind us you can see, we can show you the scenejust behind us here, take a look at the number, dozens of photographers, who are waiting in anticipation for prince harrys arrival, but no sign of him just yet. But it is a significant couple of days ahead for prince harry, as you mentioned there, the details of the case, he is one of a number of high profile claimants who are taking the case to court here for breach of privacy against the publishers of the daily mirror, the sunday people, Sunday Mirror, sorry, and the people. That is the mirror Group Newspapers. He is alleging that unlawful news gathering techniques were used, and going to be using 33 articles, newspaper articles that were published in those newspapers, they will be looked at in great detail over the next two or three days here in court, they have been selected by his legal team as probably the strongest ones that they want to put forward to present their case. Now, we are going to hear at some point prince harry will enter the witness box and he will give evidence in his case, a significant moment, of course, as you mentioned there, a Senior Member of the royal family entering the witness box, very rarely happens, it hasnt happened for a very long time, and for prince harry to enter the witness box, he will face first of all questions from his own barrister, he will be taken through those 33 articles step by step, and prince harry will give his account, his evidence, of what those articles did to him in terms of his personal life of the bulk of those articles sent her on his on off relationship with chelsea davey, when he was much younger, and we know that that relationship broke down because she could not, did not want to continue that relationship in the public eye because of what the couple have said were acts of harassment. It wont be easy for prince harry when he does enter the witness box, when he is giving evidence, because after his barrister questions him, he will then be cross examined by the opposing sides, so, the opposition, the barristerfor them, they will question him, and that can be very, very tough, that is an opportunity for the opposing side, mgn, that is the publisher in this case, who will try to undermine, it is theirjob, really, to undermine prince harrys case, so he will face some tough questions in the witness box when he enters it. In terms of the publishers themselves, they have denied that any Phone Hacking in the cases that have been brought to trial here has taken place and they say that the information that they got, that they publish, when they published those stories, was gathered by legitimate means. So, for example, they will be expected to say that they got information from a Buckingham Palace source, for example, or perhaps friends of prince harry. So, no sign of prince just yet but the hearing itself is due to get under way at about half past ten this morning. find due to get under way at about half past ten this morning. Due to get under way at about half past ten this morning. And can you exlain past ten this morning. And can you explain the past ten this morning. And can you explain the apology past ten this morning. And can you explain the apology from past ten this morning. And can you explain the apology from mirror i explain the apology from mirror Group Newspapers, there was one at the start of the trial for one instance of unlawful information gathering, but there was also a more general apology previous to that, can you just talk us through those . Yes, broadly, in 2015 there was an apology by the publisher for Phone Hacking, they apologised back in 2015, but that is separate to what is going on in this case. So, as you rightly say at the start of this trial about two or three weeks ago the publishers of these three newspapers, they made one apology to prince harry, and that was back in 2004, they have admitted that on one occasion, a private investigator they say was instructed to unlawfully gather information. Because that related to prince harrys conduct in a nightclub. So, they have apologised for that, but they have apologised for that, but they absolutely deny that any Phone Hacking has taken place in terms of prince harry and the other claimants in this case. So, the apology over Phone Hacking, that was back in 2015 and a broader apology, nothing to do with this particular case, and nothing to do with prince harry. So, they are denying that Phone Hacking, interception of voicemail messages, they are denying that that took place in all of the cases here at the high court. And it will be a battle which prince harry clearly has had his sights on four many, many years. We know his relationship with the press, of course, and he wants to make a point here. He didnt want to settle out of court and he is going to be here at some stage either later today in the witness box or possibly tomorrow as well timetables shift a bit in Court Hearings so we are not quite sure exactly when he will go into the witness box but he will face some tough questions in there, its not like he will be sitting down to do an interview with oprah winfrey, it is not like his Netflix Series where he can dictate, if you like, what goes out, he will be questioned, cross examined here, by a very skilled barrister, whose primaryjob as i mentioned is to try to undermine prince harrys case. Thank ou ve undermine prince harrys case. Thank you very much. Undermine prince harrys case. Thank you very much, helena undermine prince harrys case. Thank you very much, Helena Wilkinson, i undermine prince harrys case. Thank you very much, Helena Wilkinson, for us at the high court. We will keep an eye on things and if we see prince harry turning up we will bring you that. But we are expecting to hear from bring you that. But we are expecting to hearfrom him tomorrow and it would be the first time in 150 years that a royal has testified. This is really important for prince harry, he said something along the lines of, this is his lifes work, trying to get his case proven, and also the mirror Group Newspapers will be very keen to show that the executives were unaware of any wrongdoing, as Helena Wilkinson was saying, there was an apology at the start of this trial for one instance of unlawful information gathering, but it is contesting the other claims and they go back a long way, to 1996, when harry was aged 12, but they reject those allegations and they also say that the executives were unaware of any wrongdoing. Youre watching bbc news. Dorset police have said they are keeping an open mind about the circumstances that led to the deaths of two swimmers in the sea off bournemouth beach last wednesday. 12 year old sunnah khan from buckinghamshire and 17 year old joe abbess from southampton both died in hospital after being pulled from the sea. Police say theyre considering causes including weather conditions and the state of the water but have ruled out the possibility of a collision or that the pair jumped from the pier. Our reporter nickjohnson is in bournemouth and sent us this. Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident which unfolded here on the beach in bournemouth last wednesday afternoon. Just this area here to the east of bournemouth pier is where helicopters were spotted landing, it is where Emergency Services were with a group of what we now understand to be ten people who were involved in some sort of incident in the water. We now know to have those people have sadly died. Dorset police say that was very busy on the beach here last week, the weather was good, it was half term holidays here in the uk. So they have asked for anyone who was on the beach at the time who may have taken photos, who may have recorded video, that could be a crucial piece of the puzzle in this investigation, to get in touch with them. Police here in dorset have also addressed what they say is significant speculation that has been seen on social media and in the news as well, particularly regarding a page about that was in the water here by the po pier at the time. Please have reiterated fact that no such boat, or no other craft in the sea was involved in a collision with the people in the water and they say that the presence of the pleasure boat here is just forming one that the presence of the pleasure boat here isjust forming one part of this investigation, they are also looking at other environmental factors such as the wind at the time and the weather as well. A man who was on the water at the time of the incident, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, he has since been released pending further investigation. Those two young people who sadly lost their lives, 17 year old joe abess was a budding chef from southampton, just 20 miles along the coast, and his family say they are heartbroken and devastated by his loss and they say that he was a fantastic young lad and they say they are incredibly proud of the young man that he had become. The other child who lost her life was 12 year old sunnah khan from high wycombe, herfamily held 12 year old sunnah khan from high wycombe, her family held a funeral for her this weekend and it is thought around 200 people were at her funeral at the mosque thought around 200 people were at herfuneral at the mosque in high wycombe, a Family Member spoke to the bbc saying they were expertly upset by what had happened and described her as a lovely girl. Joe abess and sunnah khan were completely unknown to one another, brought together by this tragic incident. The scene on the beach today in bournemouth, very much like what it would have been last wednesday afternoon, it is somewhat quieter here at the moment, the School Holidays have finished, but it is warm, bright blue skies, not a cloud in the sky, very much like the conditions that would have been here last wednesday, and you can just see a scaffolding structure just between the sand and the pier maybe used for storing surfboards and attached to that structure is a bunch of roses which marks the spot where these people got into difficulty last wednesday. To ukraine now, where the countrys military says it has made two small advances in the east of the country. By contrast, Russias Defence Ministry says its troops have beaten back a large scale military operation in the southern Donetsk Region this has not been verified by the bbc. Moscow claims ukraine has lost 250 troops as well as 16 tanks. Earlier in the day the Ukrainian Army released this video which appears to refer to the long awaited Counter Offensive with the words plans love silence. There will be no announcement about the start. Our ukraine correspondent James Waterhouse has the latest in kyiv for us. We were told overnight by Russias Defence Ministry that it had done just that. Then this morning we are told that in the words of its spokesman, they werent successful and that 250 troops had been killed and it was accompanied with footage appearing to show armoured vehicles coming under intense artillery fire as they tried to cross vast green fields. Its not been possible to verify these claims, even as we talk now russia is claiming that ukraine has launched other offensives. And this will not be the last time we discuss whether this is part of the much anticipated ukrainian Counter Offensive. Its been a weekend where kyiv has said there will be no announcement, that plans like silence, so you wont be hearing anything from us on that. Weve seen ukraine claim to have made marginal gains elsewhere yesterday. I think when we look at the continued fighting inside russia, across the border in the belgorod region, after pro ukrainian insurgents made a major advance across the border, i think we are seeing a notable increase in activity on the ukrainian side. Whether this amounts to what they have been planning and hoping for for months now, i dont think will materialise for a while yet. Weve also heard from ukraines commander of the Ground Forces, commander of the Ground Forces about how theyve been making some movement Going Forward near bakhmut . Yes, but we are talking hundreds of metres, just to give you an idea. But bakhmut, this eastern city which has dominated so many of the headlines, it took Russian Forces mainly mercenary forces the best part of the year to take this city with a questionable strategic significance. Nevertheless, tens of thousands of men have been killed in the fight for that city. And soon after russia claimed to finally to be in complete control, it seems ukraine is claiming to have made gains around the outskirts. So you get an idea of the intensity of the fighting there. Ukraine is also claiming to have made gains in the Donetsk Region. But to give you an idea, we are talking about such small amounts of territory in such a vast country along a front line that spans 600 miles. Ukraines goal has always been, its a dream has always been to repel russia completely. I think in practical terms, that is a tall order. But what you are seeing, and what you are seeing with the western rhetoric is that they are looking to apply enough psychological pressure to rush as leader, vladimir putin, to try and make him think twice about what he still calls a special military operation. And also one of the main stories we are keeping an eye on is the duke of sussex becoming the first member of the royalfamily for more becoming the first member of the royal family for more than 100 years to give evidence in court this week as he enters the witness box in his legal battle against mirror Group Newspapers. Prince harry claims his privacy was breached byjournalists and investigators working on 33 stories about him, dating back decades. Mgm has apologised for the use of unlawful methods to gather information, including Phone Hacking, but says executives were unaware what was going on. We will keep an eye on the scene at the high court and if prince harry turns up well keep you informed and we are expecting him to take to the stand tomorrow. Lets turn our attention tomorrow. Lets turn our attention to india. Trains are running again on the section of indias rail network that was the scene of fridays devastating crash. More than 50 hours on, goods trains are able to move in both directions on tracks in odisha state after the removal of carriages badly damaged in the three way collision. 275 people have died and dozens of the victims are yet to be identified. Archana shukla has been at the scene of the crash. A pay cheque he hesitates to collect. This man was meant to be on the same ill fated train as his wife but stayed back to run a last minute errand. My wifes image keeps flashing before my eyes. What am i to do that my wife is gone . Money can be earned later, but nothing can bring her back, he tells me. Family members have been gathering at the centre after the government announced compensation of £1,000 for the kin of the deceased. For others, the painful search is still on sifting through photos, from hospital to hospital, and now morgue to morgue. Inconsolable and traumatised. 22 year old himanshu can barely speak. His brother was on the train that crashed. Can i see my brotherjust once . He keeps repeating. At this makeshift morgue, hes just one of many who dont have answers yet. Ten members of mukul singhs family were on the train. Eight found, one dead, and one still missing. His family spent £450 much beyond their means to come here from another state. These photos are unrecognisable. How can we find him in this . I had never thought this would happen. Just a day before, we had so much fun, he tells me. With limited resources to manage the dead, government has now shifted all the casualties to the capital city, five hours away from here. But over 180 bodies still remain unidentified. Officials have started posting the photos of dead bodies on government websites, and have said theyll start resorting to dna identification. These tracks that tell the story of loss are still being cleared. Rail service has been restored on some tracks. Attention has now turned to just why this disaster happened. Archana shukla, bbc news, balasore, odisha. Well earlier i spoke to archana who sent us that report and started by asking her how the authroities got the trains running again yes, absolutely. It was after 50 hours of restoration work clearing the wreckage, removal of all the overturned coaches from the railway tracks. Inspection is to see that if the signals along the line were working, that Train Services have resumed. Both goods and passenger chains are running. I understand along the line at one of the stations close to where the accident happened, trains are just a few minutes ago, one of them passed by for the very First Time Since the train accident happened. But Train Services have not come back 100 . It is still reduced services with fewer trains moving right now on the tracks. Some of the clearances and wreckage still need to be moved out of the way to get all the lines back up of the way to get all the lines back up on track. But certainly, it was a massive clearing. The questions on what really caused the disaster on the scale in india, you know the deadliest india has seen in many decades, so to say, preliminary investigations have said it was the fault of the signalling system. While two separate railway inquiries are ongoing, the Railway Ministry has also recommended that the countrys top Investigation Agency also probes the cause of this. It is still unclear why the country does mikrut criminal Investigative Agency is as to join this investigation. There is a lot of question around the government on Senior Railway officials to resign, taking accountability on why such an accident of this nature occurred, when the government has been spending money on railway infrastructure. One of the l bigger reasons is because the Train Services on this route were disrupted for three days, many families are passengers who were on the affected train could not make it to the accident site. They are only coming in from yesterday and even today, some families are coming in via road. They are reaching the accident spot and that is one of the reasons why claiming of the bodies and identification has also taken a longer time. And identification has also taken a longertime. Secondly, and identification has also taken a longer time. Secondly, yesterday at the hospital where we wear close to the hospital where we wear close to the accident site, all the casualties were being moved to the capital city, a five hour drive away. There are betterfacilities capital city, a five hour drive away. There are better facilities to take and manage the dead. And that was creating also a lot of chaos and adding to the ordeal of Family Members who are reaching one place and then were being sent to another to look for their loved ones. The management of this has also not been up management of this has also not been up to is what most Family Members would have wanted. And that is the reason why it is taking a longer time for identification as well. Thank you for that. Now outside of the uk, a woman once branded australias worst female serial killer has been pardoned and freed from prison after new evidence suggested she did not kill herfour children. Kathleen folbigg had spent 20 years in prison for the deaths, which occurred over a decade. But on monday the attorney general of New South Wales said an inquiry had concluded there was reasonable doubt as to her guilt. Our correspondent phil mercer is following the case and has more on the developments. This has been an extraordinary and a notorious case and now taking a spectacular turn with Kathleen Folbigg, 20 years after she was convicted of the murders of three of her children and the manslaughter of another, being pardoned and set free. We understand she walked out of the prison in the north of the state of New South Wales about four or five hours ago. She was convicted of killing her children between 1989 and 1999. The infants, caleb, patrick, laura and sarah were all aged between 19 days and 19 months. And at the time and since, Kathleen Folbigg has always maintained her innocence. She did exhaust all the appeals in the Australian Court system, but in april an inquiry into this case found new Scientific Evidence that suggested that Natural Causes could have been behind the deaths of these children. So what this Scientific Evidence was essentially saying was that Kathleen Folbiggs children could have died because of rare genetic mutations and disorders. These genetic mutations were different in the children, though, werent they . I believe her daughters had one type of genetic mutation and one of her sons had a different one . Yes, thats right, the two girls, sarah and laura were said to have had a rare genetic mutation that could have caused heart problems and sudden death. One of the boys was reportedly suffering from a neuro genetic disorder linked to epilepsy. So all of this Scientific Evidence has been brought to bear on this extraordinary case. Safe to say that the trial and the conviction of Kathleen Folbigg has become one of the most notorious cases in australian criminal history. But today, the New South Wales state governor has granted an unconditional pardon to Kathleen Folbigg, meaning that she is now free from prison and her supporters, who have agitated for her release for so many years believe that she will now pursue a huge compensation case, given that shes lost 20 years of her life. Social media scammers are conning schoolchildren out of thousands of pounds by falsely claiming they have access to this years gcse and a level exam papers. Exam boards say its extremely rare for papers to be leaked, but added that the scams are becoming more common, as Kristian Johnson reports. The half term holidays are over and students are back sitting exams this week. But away from the exam halls scammers are targeting pupils on social media. Instagram, tiktok and snapchat accounts are among those claiming to sell leaked papers. £500 for a paper was the typical offer from multiple accounts. For one exam paper . Yeah, for one exam paper. 15 year old jade is sitting her gcses. Weve changed her name to protect her identity. She approached an account after seeing exams for sale on tiktok. They are everywhere. You would not run into a student in the uk who has not come into contact with these accounts. Jade didnt buy an exam but many other students have. The papers for sale on social media are highly unlikely to be genuine, but the scams are on the rise. Click on this one, 2023 exam papers. Exam boards are doing what they can to shut the accounts down. We were granted exclusive access with the team at aqa. Once we found one of these accounts, we will record it, pass this information over to the security team, they will determine whether it is a genuine paper or if its a hoax and they will work with the social media platforms to take, hopefully the post and the countdown. For students caught cheating, the implications could be severe, including the risk of being banned from exams altogether. These are almost, always scams, dont fall for it. If you see Something Like that, report it to your school or college. You risk not only losing money, but the consequences for you are really serious, you could actually risk the qualification you have been studying for. Instagram, tiktok and snapchat all say the scammers break their Community Guidelines and they add that people should report anyone claiming to sell exam papers. Christian johnson, bbc news. A ticking time bomb. Thats how one leading scientist has described the impact of Ultra Processed foods like crisps, bread and Breakfast Cereals on the uks health. The bbc Panorama Team has been investigating the issue by getting a pair of identical twins to test a highly processed diet versus an all natural one. As esme stallard reports, the effect on the Volunteers Health was clear after just two weeks. So youre 160. 5. Lovely. So step forward. Amy and nancy are 24 year old twins. So, amy and nancy, what we want to do is to look at how Food Processing impacts your health. Theyre taking part in a test with dr sarah berry and professor tim spector from Kings College, london. What youre going to do is, for two weeks nancy, youre going to be doing the unprocessed diet, and, amy, youre going to be eating the Ultra Processed diet. Then were going to get you back here and then were going to do the same tests again and look at how these different foods have impacted your health. The twins diet will be matched exactly for calories, nutrients, fat, sugar and fibre. In the last decade, the evidence has been slowly growing that Ultra Processed food is harmful for us in ways we hadnt thought. The twins find there is one ingredient they keeps seeing again and again on food packets. Look emulsifiers again. Weve seen that a few times, havent we . I yeah. Emulsifiers are essentially a glue. They stick components together so that they have a good mouthfeel and they dont fall apart in your mouth or on the plate. So here we have carboxymethylcellulose cmc which is one of the commonest emulsifiers used in the Food Industry. Im just going to demonstrate what happens when you just add water to it, and it very rapidly becomes like a glue the Food Industry uses around 60 different emulsifiers to enhance the appearance, texture and shelf life of Ultra Processed foods. Some are naturally occurring, others are chemically produced. Its found in an incredible number of our foods and they are potentially harmful. Dr Mathilde Touvier is leading one of the worlds biggest studies into food additives, publishing regular reports based on the health and eating habits of 174,000 people. Shes been looking at emulsifiers long term impact on health. The bbc has had exclusive access to the early results. Theyre yet to be verified by peer review, but she says theyre concerning. We observed significant associations between emulsifier intake and increased risk of cancer overall and Breast Cancer, notably but also with cardiovascular diseases. In england, wales and northern ireland, food safety is regulated by the Food Standards Agency the fsa. It says its about to launch a Public Consultation on some emulsifiers. A spokesperson for the food and drink federation said. The results of the twins test are now in. Amy, you were on the Ultra Processed food diet. Your results were really quite different to your sisters. They were far worse. Your blood fat levels actually went up. Your lipids which are markers of Heart Disease they were increased. Your blood sugar was noticeably worse. You actually gained weight nearly a kilogram and you actually lost weight. Its a bit scary, isnt it, after only two weeks to see those sorts of results . So just imagine what that would be over 20 years. After just two weeks of the test, the impact of amys Ultra Processed diet will be fully reversible. But the results are in line with a growing body of evidence linking chemical additives and ultra processing to Serious Health consequences. We already have the most obese children in europe. That means more type two diabetes, more cancers, more Heart Disease, more misery, more mental illness. This really is a future time bomb. There are now dozens of scientific studies warning of the dangers of diets high in Ultra Processed food. The twins tests show the potential impact these foods can have on you in just two weeks. Saudi arabias first female astronaut has been describing to the bbc the experience of visiting the International Space station. A capsule carrying rayyanah barnawi, a Breast Cancer researcher, returned safely to earth earlier this week. She was accompanied by fellow saudi ali alqarni, a fighter pilot, and two americans. The four travelled to the iss to conduct Pioneering Research on microgravity, human health and rain seeding technology. Rayyanah barnawi told the bbc that arriving at the iss was like being welcomed into a new family. This was her message to arab girls. My message to them is, the International Space station, us going there, was only the first step, and im really keen to see more and more of you learning more about the stem education, science, technology, mathematics, and all the different sectors that will help build the space sector back in saudi arabia especially. We have a legacy of having the first saudi arab man that went all the way to space looking 40 years ago and our mission now is to build on that heritage. It is very important for them to be interested in any field of the space sector. Its not only about astronauts, there are lots of majors that could help build and maintain the space sector back in saudi arabia. The weather this week is not too dissimilar for most of us from what we had last week. Pollen levels are going to be high today across northern ireland, much of england and all of wales. Were talking grass pollen. High pressure is firmly in charge of our weather and has been with us for a while. Just slightly moving position. Is dragging in cloud overnight from the north sea and we have the key north westerly breeze across east anglia and kent. But in the afternoon any cloud will be out towards the east. That will hold temperatures back, in the sunshine it is 23, 20 4 temperatures back, in the sunshine it is 23, 2o 4 degrees in glasgow and also potentially northern ireland. Here we could catch the odd shower but they will be hit and miss. Uv levels are high, more or less across the board. There will be early evening sunshine, later on in the evening and overnight more cloud comes in from the north sea and drifts further west. We hang onto this key north easterly breeze in the south east and English Channel with our overnight lows between six and ten or 11 degrees. Tomorrow we start on a cloudy note and rather like today, what you find is the cloud pushes back towards the east coast and some of it will be stubborn. We still have the breeze. Out towards the west, something dry and warm but again there is an isolated chance you might catch the odd shower in scotland and also northern ireland. During wednesday, cloudy start and that melts away. Again, parts of the east coast will see more cloud at times. Still with the breeze. We could see the odd shower on Higher Ground in scotland on wednesday and temperatures, 12 to about 22 or 23. As we move into thursday, more cloud across scotland and north east england, something brighter across the far south east, but a lot of dry weather. Note that shower is not too far away. Temperatures are cooler along the north sea coastline, 14 to 16 as we move towards the west, 21 or 22 degrees. The showers i showed you, during the course of friday into saturday, we could see some of them coming up from the south. Most of us will stay dry and getting a little warmer
