And that s the latest I m John I don t like. Case the Fed Cup World Tour Finals in Bella rich plus indulges the between Grand Slam adults like us on the whites today. Plus the motor sport has been airing with John in the news aids policy. Going to study for the film along roam free in South Paolo and we ve got qualifying in the motor g.p. In Valencia this horse racing today as well I mean trade don t cost to Kelso Wincanton had a twilight major at Wolverhampton for the Knights but that s compared. To nothing and it goes into insignificance because next we have I. Don t know what sports personality on the show. It s Amanda like she s been speaking with caprese we find out more next school says Mick false. Was on the 2nd fastest in the final practice session. He was played. In Sao Paolo clip finds lights of the. Robbed at gun point according to reports leaving the track. With. About 4 a. Time. Today Britain s Amanda Lightfoot is expecting big things when she heads to the Winter Olympics in South Korea the Army Sergeant achieved a new personal best at this year s World Championships Brazier has been to meet her Dillon pick flame is now in the hands of South Korea following this handover ceremony in Greece running from the 9th to 25th of February 28th scene this will be the 23rd Winter Olympics and Amanda Lightfoot 2nd I didn t expect to be where I am today 100 percent definitely not you know I was in the supporters it was a bit of fun and you know it was nice to get to with different you know different scene away from. It it was enjoyable and then I started to get this done all this love for it inside and I want and then it was just a really competitive and then I want to be the best in Great Britain so I set out to be all the girls in the team so I was deep in a one I wanted a chief that I wanted to be consistent top 16 in the world and top 4 in the world and to be in the top 30 having joined the Army to prove a point to have brother Amanda got involved with biathlon after an adventurous training trip when she was 20 she d never skied all seen proper snow before she reckons the last 10 years has seen an 8020 split between time in training and time in uniform but the army and the a.t.c. In particular have been a huge support despite biathlon being a winter sport the commitment is year round when she s not on the snow Amanda has a variety of ways to keep in shape over the summer months I m doing 30 hours a week physical training and that s you know based on 6 hours a day so I don t I don t get weekends off I don t get holidays I get one day off a week which is generally spent eating a lot sleeping and do my washing you know and just dated this stuff and to be in with a chance of that it also helps to be caged by the best in the world been very lucky to. I ll give you the best coach in the world. And he has the swedish a team coach as well so he took me on just because he seemed such potential in me so it was a really good opportunity. And I see little potential when you. Come to Germany let s talk about it next week I went out there and. I think he s been the driving force to my motivation I mean he watches my watch every day so the train I m training what I m doing. When I m resting. As he wants to. Be wants and I haven t. And he s you know why did you need to. Sorry so you. Do exactly what he says because in the end his program spend a lot of time on it and I want I want to really trust in 100 percent and I think that s the key. Belief as well. And he is very. Like. Tells me what time I get time I go to bed what I do for the whole day when I can go home and see my family you know everything s dictated day to day basis what I eat every think so it is like you know a military regime in a sense as well training with Wolfgang and the Swedish team Amanda has seen a marked improvement over the last 4 years and also says she has a faded pace in her I believe I can achieve what I want to achieve and it would be great to be you know to go down in history is the only female to have gone to. Britain for the b.s. I think that will be a fantastic achievement setting her sights high in biathlon Amanda enjoyed some relative down time on Camp No there s anything easy about posting a senior and cool but she still loves her time in the army and glory in her chosen sport knowing that her career will be here when she gets back Amanda Lightfoot medal hopeful. Lympics is beginning to break. It s currently 30 points a pace England Argentina at Twickenham but how is it a bt Merrifield s McKenzie when to stop which time of the moment Scotland leading by 18 points to taints your whole get open scoring in the farce minute with a fantastic try that was then converted by Finn Russell a penalty from the Williams brought that score by 273 another couple of kicks from the boot but fend Russell to that to 3 however was brought in to determine whether or not they would go over for some more through he said they gave the points. First of all that was think inventive. Try as well by future in the last few minutes for Scotland takes up to 810 and as a save the half that was a Scotland pressing at the moment with a scrum just 10 yards from the try line but go and play but at the moment it s just . It s Scotland a team. That will be able to Twickenham in the next 10 minutes find out. After about 15 minutes on the field by now new music on full Friday and b f In the kitchen in the bedroom in the. In my office speech day in the car on the way to work and soon as I get into the office I turn on the radio and leave it on all day it s a connection to the u.k. It s a connection to the tri service personnel and it s great whites just find out what else is going on in the world even before I got to the folks and saw stuff to From the album of the week on forces Friday of b s b s the album being beautiful trauma the current single from Pink what about us let s head to Twickenham Russ Hargreaves the latest on England Argentina and not quite clicking England at the moment I ve got to say tickets England 6 Argentina 3 we played nearly 22 but it says we should take a film pick here it is gone in and Mike Brown is down but he s not moving so keep a close eye on this outfit I think 2 on toward but proud corset a bit of a player sound which is definitely hit hard is what drugs will keep a close on that in just a 2nd round of course he suffered a really bad concussion here against Italy a couple of years ago in the 6 Nations as well so always a slight concern in terms of the game itself England ahead courtesy of 2 penalties out of 3 from George forward for taking an eternity to kick those goals though to the point that the referee Marius van the best days of a said to him please hurry up and take less time so that s going to be I think in full to mind for the rest of the game a 1000000 at the fairly with warm reply from the penalty for the Argentinians a with the to run so far from Joseph and Robshaw not quite clicking the keeper on Mike Brown as I say it s 63 to the home take and we ll have more from Russ around the afternoon at Twickenham and we re back tomorrow field as they get underway with the 2nd half Scotland v Samoa in a bit League One action there is a goal in Oxford United they re losing one nil at the moment to Northampton in League 2 goals of going so far Carlo one go fold nail channel no Luton one crew one Lincoln City nail in League One in Scotland Albion Rovers nil one in League 2 in Scotland a discount on both nil Albion one and Montrose one and Peterhead nil Stenhousemuir . One and in the 3 o clock off in the Scottish Challenge Cup It s still goalless Dumbarton the right road that its forces radio b f b s on this remembrance weekend and today is Armistice Day and we ve been hearing from our teams around the forces World Time now to hear from personnel in Battus Canada with b f b S s Frank McCarthy hearing calendar for Remembrance Day The British Army Training Unit Suffield old boss as it s better known have soldiers services and parades in 3 locations around the province Ralston village Redcliffe and also with the Royal British Legion in medicine hats the Medicine Hat boxes represent stave w o one and the divine m b the 1st 2 minutes silence in Britain was actually held on the 11th of November 1919 when King George asked the public to observe a silence at 11 am he made a request so the thoughts of everybody baby concentrated on remembrance of the glorious day. And to me remember is an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of those who have gone before and what they fought and died for because Dave Jones from a remembrances is about remembering those people that come before us and made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live our lives as we do today my name is Jay York and I believe remembrances all about remembering those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom essentially Colonel Paul White commander Deo remembrances about stopping our over inflated busy lives to pay our respects and it not being for them we wouldn t be where we are today and therefore we should be thankful for those who have gone before us and furthermore it s important that we pass this down to the younger generation so that they may carry on remember it. From a healthy from a f.p.s. In Canada more from other stations around the world. Going. The idea of the absolute our attention. It s an international break this weekend but that doesn t mean a side we can get him out of the pit on a Saturday also get us on some of the kinds that we say over the last few days self today in Chile no place for the work it absolutely can we start with England s performance last night against Germany all old 5 and before we talk about the football I just saw. Well our thought it was respect from both sets of teams and the fans alike for the remembrance that happened last night before the game yeah was really quite remarkably done considering all the shenanigans that we ve had in the lead up to games previously saying with Favre saying that you know the Papi was a political symbol and I want to that s where it s at once we got over that little hiatus the Football Association on the German football as both went to town last night and did a really good job as you say and the silence was impeccably respected by 92000 people was a full house at Wembley really really respectfully done and the last post I have to say that the officer who played the last post on his bugle did it really well I m no expert in these matters but he seemed to me to be playing particularly well and above even what you know these nobody expected so well that everybody on that score I have one small complaint and that is that I did not see I single copy Sela inside or outside the stadium maybe I was a little bit early to it off before the game when I was having a shop do you round so maybe I was looking in the wrong places but it wasn t even a poppy seller or a poppy tray in the main at Wembley shock a little bit of a downer for me but apart from that it was all over it it really nicely done let s turn our attention to the football chiefly then our store on t.v. Last night and our thoughts on I thought that it was a good game of end to end football and there are a couple of names especially in the England team that you know just stood out for me one of them a former Chelsea player who s now gone another one you know I m talking about love to share Yassir Norman Oh and also I thought picked for did really really well last night yeah I thought overall England were a little bit lucky to get a drawer that s based on the possession and possession stats and the fact that. You know Germany had far more more chances than England did but you re right to pick a Jordan Pickford I think Germany were in some respects only in 3rd gear but having said that you ve got to remember the angle without having cane deli alley behind Sterling arguably the 3 most dangerous players but you have put to picked out the 2 players that Jordan picked for the river last as last his cheek who had a very good Davies 3 Davies from the start last night. Made 3 outstanding saves to right from the very 1st minute he charged out of his go to clear up a dodgy back possibly Johnstone s it could have panicked he didn t keep his head dealt with the situation and later pulled out Free Willy outstanding saves you know I think that s probably the best day by goalkeeper that I can remember any and any goalkeeper ever making for England and you know it is good ones down the years I was going as I was actually the sign that yeah as a debut for a goalkeeper outstanding the other day you picked out is Reuben Loftus Jake there s been a lot of talk about him in the papers this morning and what a fine debut he did and I agree the game was evil it looked comfortable on the ball he s a strong player holds off a ponens Well he s good running with the ball and above all he looked as if he belonged on the field of international football against the world champions I m not saying he s a world class player. By a long margin but he looked as if he belonged in that field for England and it could be very important because that s a position. Where England have been sadly lacking in the last year much is that creative midfield is going to make something happen in the final 3rd that said he did not really create a great deal in the final I think that will come or could come with more experience and more games so well done those 2 Jordan picked for Ruben last shake I also another positive for England these guys Southgate. Whatever he said to the team at half time certainly would because. You know they had a poor 1st half for my money they gave away position far too often or much improved in the 2nd op so whatever he said whatever language he used to out of many Tea Cups he threw around the world and got Southgate one final thing the England Under 17 World Cup winning team was presented on the field at half time. I thought that was a good thing to do but I did it the cynic in me said you know what this is the 1st and last time most of these grays will appear on the field. Such as they will get that they won t get a chance at their clubs No I don t think I will Dunning and I will have to wait maybe for senior call up for that I thought overall though performance out of 14 unarmed try to aim really on England yet all I thought that was a good 7 off too I put on performance wise they looked like they wanted to for the 1st time in a long time a team looked like they wanted to play they wanted to score they wanted to have a bit of fun and and they didn t really matter and when they did make mistakes they picked themselves up yes and just got on with it yeah exactly and I think that s something that Gallas south guys is instilling in to them Don t worry if you make mistakes I ll back you up to that invites and I would also give them 7 out of 10 for that performance last night more to come from several of the players that come from the team don t forget that was a team with only about $100.00 apps between them last night that s a very inexperienced team against a Germany side that they ve got about 300 caps between them so all told decent job by England well done lovely Chile will come back in the next hour and talk to us about Scotland and whiles because of us inquiring saucy really we ll or I will let you go from a competition and we re well. Known and why you hold on to me in the next now I m out hopefully Friday and the m p m. It isn t a day. And it. So I knew from Janice blue on forces Friday a b f b s we can go back on this Saturday afternoon as the sun starts to go down across the u.k. At Twickenham Carli England 11 Argentina 3 but look in. A failed Scotland. McKenzie they reckon they re going. To fight all expectations for the opening much in. Scotland pretty convincingly at the moment a try in the last minute of the 1st just after we last spoke. The driving more I would describe. The opening minutes of the 2nd half almost exactly the same move and against Joe McNally number 2. Kicks on Scotland leading with. The 2nd 2 points to 10.
