So i was born and raised in a small rural town in South Carolina we were the only indian family that all southern town. And even though the town did not know why we were there, my parents knew by we were there, because there was never a day they did not meet my brothers and my sister know how blessed we were to live in america. My mom started a business and i started doing the books for the business when i was 13 years old and it was not until i get to college that i realized that was child labor. [laughter] but i learned the value of a dollar and went on to not an ivy league are like the other candidates, with very public i went to clinton university, graduating with a degree in accounting and i met my husband, my first weekend there and we dated for seven years we been married 26 and we have two children. And from there i went on and i work in the corporate world for a while command that i came back on the Family Business one day i was sitting down with my mom. Telling her how hard it was to make a dollar. How easy it was for the government to take it. And she said, dont complain about it, do something about it. I did not know that you are not supposed to running is 30 year income it had primary come i did not in ignorance is bliss and once we realize that he was related to half of this become the only option was to win. And we had a republican else in a Republican Senate and a republican governor and i was furious. And i went to the speaker the house and i said, this is why the people do not trust us. All the bill is it anything important enough to be debated on the Florida House for the senate, was important enough for the people to know how the legislator voted. In the speaker said, put the bill away and we dont need to have it and we will decide with the public needs to see and what they dont read and i remember going home to my husband saying that if i cannot even get it legislative votes on the record, what am i doing here. And he said, then fight so i went around the state of South Carolina benefit did you know all the bills passed in the house, only 8 percent were the record. Of all of those passed in the senate, only 1 percent was on the record if you do not know how your house number voting, 9u didnt know how your senator voted to come 9 percent of the time, how did you know who to vote for at the pole and the people of South Carolina were shocked. But this in perspective my first year in office was chairman of the freshman class month second year of his majority wept and record your bugs on a Business Committee for the artist subcommittee chair thinking. Republicans have the opportunity to try to fix it and make it right but what if, they doubled down and they open up your marks for the first time in ten years. 7000 they try to push their windy summer, do you know if theres any taxpayer dollars on, 70 million on horseracing in arizona 30 million on and on college in vermont to million of a thousand colorado, and the list goes on that is not how we expect our taxpayer dollars to be spent. There spinning like that, dont ever let them tell you that republicans and democrats, they dont agree on anything, because they love to waste our money and never forget what has Congress Done for you lately. You have 60 percent of americans in Credit Card Debt read young people say they are 50 percent less cash than they did a year ago there were soft from a 50 percent say theyre worse off than they were a year ago. Social security is about to go bankrupt in ten years medicare is going to go bankrupt in five years we are in a world of hurt when you look at education everybody wants someone currently for what happened in education. When a problem with education before covid19 pre covid19, 70 percent of eighth graders in our country, were not proficient in reading and think about that. And 67 percent of the raiders were not proficient in math i know you go at two years of lockdowns and we are in a world of hurt. You still have 90 percent of american kids, at a critical race theory, for they are sing to you little girl and she goes into kindergarten, if you are like the bad if youre brown or black coming never going to be good enough and always a victim. And you have boys playing girls sports and it the womens issue of our time. My daughter ran track in high school, but would not even know how to have a conversation with her. When you say to our girls about biological boys being in the locker rooms. The way we do that, to fix our economy and the first thing we do is clawback the 500 billion in unspent covid money breed the second thing is we do not need the 87000 irs agents going after him Middle America we speak calling back hundreds of billion dollars of covid fraud we know exists. 15 of our budgets interest, quick to borrowing. Cut up the credit cards. We do it at home we do not spend more than we make. That is not how we want our taxpayer dollars spent and we need to hold them to that. And we need to make sure that means we do the hard thing, which is entitlement reform it. But the way we do it, you do not take away from people who have given. Do not take away from people who have been promised but my parents are in the 80s, we take care of them. I do not want theirs touched. My kids are in their 20s. They are the ones we go to and we say we are changing the game for you. We change their retirement age to reflect life expectancy. We match increases towards inflation. Make sure we the benefits on the wealthy we expand Medicare Advantage plan so that everyone has more. That is how we start to pay down debts. That is how we get under control. When it comes to education but we knew in South Carolina was of the child could not read by third grade or four times less likely to graduate high school. So we made sure we held all the kids back in third grade who could not read but we did reading remediation programs we did it with their parents. We make sure they were in summer programs we were going to make sure we are setting them up for success. We cant do that all across this country. We need to Start Building things in america again and so we need to start putting vocational classes in our high schools. South we had apprenticeships. We taught people how to build the things we had in our state. Lets teach our kids how to make things in america. Lets focus on the fact that every parent should know whats being taught to their children. This should be no smokescreen between what a parent knows what a child is being taught and they should have said that. And yes every parent should pick the school their child is going to because a parent knows better than any Government Official on what should happen. And finally, with our universities we go to them and say you either take chinese money or you take american money. But the days to be taken both are overbrook the chinese infiltration out of our universities. When it comes to crime you have the backs of our Law Enforcement. Remember we always take care of those who take care of us of the backs of our Law Enforcement and have the numbers of her criminals. We hold them to account for and make of them would go toward District Attorney we telling to start prosecuting according to the law. When it comes to illegal immigration, when i was in governor we pass on the toughest illegal immigration bills in the country. And we put in a mandatory everify program that anyone can hire anyone without anyone there legally but thats how we are able to make a difference in South Carolina. Who do mandatory everify across this country but with fire the 87000 irs agents and would put 25000 Border Patrol in ice agents on the border. We would stop the hundreds of billions of dollars in handouts that are going to Illegal Immigrants now. We would defund the sanctuary city and we would make sure we went back to remain in mexico because guess what no one wants to remain in mexico. We would keep title 42. Above all things instead of catch and release boots are to catch and deport that is the way will take care of illegal immigration in this country. When it comes to Foreign Policy we will let countries know what we expect of them. We will not be reactionary. We will put them on their heels and let them know. If that russian plane a heavy drone under my watch would put two more drums back up there in a fighter jet. We would put our naval fleet back in the black sea i never shouldve come out of there in the first place. That would tell them we are paying attention.
