If you fall asleep, youre going to be doing pushups for the entire evening. What an honor and thank you so much Governor Walker for having me here. You guys are the reason why we have to because this is the longestrunning Constitutional Republic the world has ever known. Now is your time. One of the things you have to understand is that adversity is something to choose you are welcome. Right now we are in the one of the most adverse situations but this is an opportunity for us to stand strong. As it says in romans chapter five, trials and tribulations reduce perseverance. Perseverance produces character. And true character produces hope. Hope in our lord and savior jesus christ. It is our moment to shine. Where are our students from south korea . [laughter] i want to say at one more time. Where are my students here from south korea . [laughter] [applause] hey look, this is what i want to share with yall tonight. I want to share some words to live by. I believe in god the father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And his one and only son jesus christ who was conceived by the holy spirit, born of the virgin mary, suffered under part chips pilot number was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day he rose. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father. From once he shall come to judge the dead. I believe in the holy spirit. I believe in the communion of saints. The forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting amen. Now what did i just repeat to each and everyone of you . The apostles creed. Something that is a little boring. You are not in a Methodist Church in atlanta. Every day of my life i recited that in church. That is why at the age of 602i can stand here and still recite that because those are words to live by for those of us who have a christian faith. That is an affirmation of the principles and beliefs that i have. Let me read Something Else, words that i have lived by in my life. I am an american soldier. I am a warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the army values. I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade. I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself. I am a coexpert and i am a professional. I stand ready to destroy the enemies of the United States of america. I am a guardian of freedom and the american way of life. I am an american soldier. Those are the types of words we have to live by. [applause] regardless of the fact that i hung up my new uniform 19 years ago, i still live by this come of the soldiers creed. Youre going to have the opportunity this week to sit down with some incredible people. And youve got to start thinking about the words you are going to live by. What will be your creed . What will be the things that when you are 70 years of age you will still be able to stand up and recite . Let me share with you these words. I believe in the United States of america. A government of the people, by the people and for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed. A democracy and a republic. A sovereign nation of many sovereign states. A perfect union, one and inseparable. Established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which american patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag and defend it against all enemies. That is the american creed. How many people here have ever heard those words before . See, thats why we find ourselves in the situation we are in right now. We dont understand our own creed. Our own principles, values, beliefs. This creed was written by William Tyler page in 1917, United States house of representatives accepted it in 1918. It seems no one in this country knows this. The next thing you know, people can come up like we just recently had some professors out in california say that president biden, if the Supreme Court comes down with a decision he doesnt like, he can just ignore it and do whatever he wants. That is a complete misunderstanding. It says we are supposed obey its laws. If we dont understand the three branches of government, if we dont understand they are separate in their responsibilities and powers, the next thing you know we dont have a Constitutional Republic. We dont have a Supreme Court, we just have an executive that goes out and does whatever they want. If there was a president r with an and if there was a liberal Supreme Court they would not be talking about that. But because we have a constitutional conservative Supreme Court that is doing what article three of the constitution says, they dont like that. What do you always hear the other side talking about . Everything is a threat to democracy. I think its funny they say i am the black face of White Supremacy. [laughter] asians, look at this come a we just had a Supreme Court decision about affirmative actions now asians are supporting White Supremacy. Everything is about White Supremacy from the party that gave us White Supremacy. I just spanked that butt commit didnt die . [laughter] [applause] that is what happens when you understand your principles and beliefs and values. We were just up in illinois, guess what the governor in illinois said . He started to give drivers licenses to people here illegally. What happens based upon the law from bill clinton . If you have a drivers license, guess what you can do . And now illegals are going to be voting in our elections. If we dont understand our american creed, if we dont find and that is the purpose of you all being here today. And tonight and this whole week. One of the things the army taught me i know you are in the air force. Air force guys are real smart. I couldnt pass the iq test. Thats why you were a pilot and i was a paratrooper. You have all those styles, i just had two lights in the back. Red lights that i could stay in the airplane, green lights that i jump out of the airplane. This week, i want everyone of you to start putting together your three by five cards. Start writing down with the principles and beliefs are that you will hold and live by. Because if you are not ready to do that, you cant go back on these College Campuses and win. You cant do it it says right here, it says he will defend this country against its enemies. How many people here serve in the United States military . Thank you for your service. [applause] what did the oath say . That we would support and defend the constitution of the United States of america against all enemies foreign and . If you are coming up with ideas that are antithetical to us living in a Constitutional Republic first of all, what is a Constitutional Republic . The other thing i want you to start carrying is your constitution and declaration of independence. How many of you in this audience on independence day, i dont say fourth of july, independence day, how many of you read the declaration of independence . I am not trying to shave anybody. This is the problem we have. Ok governor, you get a gold star. He goes, pick me, i did it. [laughter] the importance is, how can you live in the United States of america and not understand how your independence was declared . The next thing you know, some goofball from the progressive socialist left will come around and say, the United States of america has always been a racist countries in 1619. What a bunch of ok . The things we dont realize and dont understand, when you talk about here the consent of the governed, that is how it exists, be it the federal level or state level. If they governed understand they are supposed to be governed. , the next thing you know you are being ruled. Show me where it says the federal government can shutdown a private business . Show me where there is an enumerated power it says the governor can shutdown a church . Show me where it says something can say to an agency like the atf, you are going to go out there and turn 20 million americans into felons because we are going to change the rules about a pistol brace. That is why in challenging you on the other thing. The three by five card, and before this month ends, everyone of you sitting here will have read the entire declaration. The important thing is you will find many of the grievances Thomas Jefferson articulated in that incredible document are happening today. It is happening today because we dont understand our creed. We dont understand our commitment to the fundamental principles. The constitution of the United States of america. Take time to read it. You cant call yourself a conservative if you dont understand that you live in a Constitutional Republic. Number one, a respect for the rule of law. Number two, a respective individual rights, freedoms and liberties. Who did Thomas Jefferson read when he talked about the laws of nature . If you want to call yourself a conservative you have to know new john locke is. Life, liberty and property were the original inalienable rights. How many have read the law . Write that down. Another homework assignment. Read the law because frederick bossi got the french economist talked about the proper relationship between the institution of government and the individual. The individual, the rights and freedom and revel and liberties, that is why Abraham Lincoln said that a government of the people, by the people and for the people. It is not the government for the elite, for the marxist, for the leftists, not the government for hollywood, not the government for academia. It is your government. But if you dont study and understand these things, what does it say in the bible . My people suffer for lack of knowledge. That is where we are in america. That is why im honored to kick off this week for you all. From this point, we have to Start Building up the three by five cards. You are going back on to college and university campuses. When i went to the university of tennessee 19791980 three the biggest thing for us was beating alabama. We did it my senior year. The biggest thing in the winter was beating the university of kentucky in basketball. We didnt have to contend with the things you have to contend with. Madison talks about the chuckle heads and buffalo who that is a person who is so stupid that all you can do is laugh at them. I want you to understand madison. Those police were not there to protect me, they were there to protect the students from me. I understand that. Think of how insidious it is, here is a guy born in atlanta, 1961, in a blacks only hospital. Think about that. I get invited to come to a College Campus to speak about how america is not a racist country because my dad served in world war ii and i was a lt. Col. I became a member of the house of representatives from the district that was 92 white, the highest per capita income zip code was in the Congressional District i represented. I had dinner with rush limbaugh. America is not our rated cyst a racist country. I was the chairman of the largest state Republican Party in the country. I have a bunch of chuckle had kids that are going to tell me that im an embarrassment. That i dont know what im talking about. This is the environment you are in. You have got to be ready to go and show yourself well armed to be able to, i believe it is my duty to my country to love it, support its constitution, obey the laws, respect the flag and defended against its enemies. I think it is absurd that we have young people in the United States right now that think if you miss gender someone, and im trying to understand this because im glad, 62 genders are we up to now . Over 100 . I would fail because i struggled with biology with two genders. We have young people that are saying that it should be a crime to miss gender someone . Are you kidding me . It is man and woman. Same as up and down, good and evil. I need you to be able to go out and articulate these things but you cant unless you read, you understand and you develop your own creed. The creed of your faith, the creed of your service, the creed that you have is an american, the beliefs you are willing to live by every day of your life. That is where we are in this country. As i was telling young people earlier, when they start yelling and screaming at you, you are winning the debate. What they are trying to do is get you to selfcentered sensor. They are trying to use the leftist tactics of coercion, intimidation, threats and ultimately, violence. The important thing is that you dont need to be on these campuses wandering around by yourself. You need your battle buddy. When you go back to campus, have your battle buddy, someone who will have your back. In proverbs, solomon said iron sharpens iron. The only way you will get better is if you have someone helping you to get better. But you have to start by understanding what it is that you believe in. A sovereign nation of many sovereign states. I live in texas. Are those aggie whoops . Im going to the tennesseetexas a m game. We are going to whoop yall. Do pushups. You dont hiss the old man. I have been to the border 14 times. If you study and understand the constitution of the United States, it says clearly in article four, section four that the federal government is supposed to protect every state in the union from invasion. 5, 6, 7 Million People coming across the border from 150 countries is an invasion. Single military age, coming across the border even from china, that is an invasion. The fentanyl coming across the border killing young people, the sex trafficking that is happening, that is part of an invasion. If the federal government doesnt do its duty to protect us as a sovereign nation and protecting our sovereignty as states, then they are not fulfilling the principles and values and the rule of law. You have to be able to articulate that. You cant have people saying that you dont care about people and you arent being humane. Of course you care. Of course you are humane. People have to respect our laws. If we are not a Constitutional Republic, then we are just a piece of land between canada and mexico, the pacific and the atlantic oceans. That is not what we are. We are a sovereign nation. I want you to think about why you are here in washington. You have a midnight monument to her tonight . When you drive past these monuments, think about the men and women the monuments represent. My dad served in world war ii. You will drive past that monument. My brother served in vietnam. As well as my fatherinlaw. I did a year on the dmz in korea , 1995. Drive past that monument. On the other side of the break how mike they will file a bill for the memorial for operation desert storm. That was my first tour of duty. Think about the men and women for which patriots sacrificed their lives. When you read the declaration of independence, the 56 signers placed their lives and honor so you could be sitting here tonight and it will be your duty and responsibility to do the same, to pass it along to subsequent generations. If you dont know what you believe in, if you dont know who you are, being a christian, a soldier, an american, then someone will come along and they will feed you anything. And you may believe it. That is why this is so important. It is important that you continue to support this. Life aint about, as i said in illinois, it is not about the cars we have, the money in our bank accounts, the houses. It is about what we pass on. My dad was born in 1920 in south alabama. He fought for this country in world war ii at a time when it was a segregated army. The age of 15, my dad created in me a commitment of service and sacrifice to the country. When he said to me, his middle son, there is no greater honor than serving the country in unit , in uniform, he challenged me to be the first officer in the family. From a man born in the segregated south, this is what he produced. This is what he caused me to believe in. Understand what true freedom is. Go out and tell your friends on College Campuses that i aint responsible for their student loans. I aint. That is good english. I have two daughters. I paid for their college. Im not paying for anyone elses college. If you make the decision that you want to go to college, if you enter into a private contractual agreement, it is part of your duty and responsibility. If we dont watch what is happening, we will mess around and we will start giving out grownup participation trophies. How many of you know what participation trophies are . They are worthless. They mean nothing. They mean that you suck. You sat on the bench. Someone wanted to make you feel good about yourself. That paint what aint what it means to be american. Americans get on the field, americans play the game. My dad told me if i come to see you but a High School Football game, i am not coming to see you sit on the bench. You do what is necessary to make sure you are a star. Im challenging everyone of you in this conservative movement, be a star. Dont be on the bench. If there is someone on the bench, help them be a star. When you talk about inequality, we have an interesting discussion about equality in the
