The Biden Administration has tried to tell people things are not as bad, they tried to cook the books on the Inflation Numbers saying inflation is coming down not noted the fact inflation doesnt come down, it rises at a slower pace to mention they dont talk about their comparing it to inflationary members coming down from within want to talk about the fact that inflation was rising of this level by any stretch of the administration and people have this basic concept with a look where they were for the past president or republican president because the current president is a democrat and they say who is the policy and terms of our economy not to mention others we are seeing coming up as top issues for voters. Its amazing not to get too far in but under this administration we seen revisions to bls, Bureau Of Labor Statistics numbers and the media doesnt cover it but changing everything they set out because they live. Theyve tinkered with the labor market trying to make freelancing or gig work which people want because they want cash to make up for the lack of increases in wages because of inflation and theyve made it difficult for consumers and employees who want to say i want to drive over on the weekends, they want to adopt a model for anybody has to be a fulltime Employee Survey eliminate the job market in a time you will need extra money. You think we will punish you for one job, get to jobs and we will punish you cannot get three jobs and we will take them all away. Another issue that will be massive will be the issue of immigration, youve been an honest reporter for a long time. These numbers are astonishing and its not just right wing republican wackos for care, its across the board. Over the course of four months youve seen this almost double when it comes to what people care about and its not that youre just seeing this insane flow of people coming across the border, people all over the country are experiencing this firsthand realizing immigration is not an issue about amnesty or allowing some through a bureaucratic process, it affects every aspect of the economy so immigration becomes a wider problem of education, education budgets, public safety, healthcare, Public Services taxpayers pay for that are strained as result of bad decisions by governments across the country are completely overrun and there are two distinct thoughts and its easy for people to see you need to stop the problem before you can solve another one and the Biden Administration is it willing and democratic mayors are willing to call them out. Do you think democratic mayors are being honest or just scared and will revert to terrible ways . I dont think they are being completely honest, they claim there is a problem but instead of saying obviously you need to stop the flow of people coming in, they blame people like Texas Governor greg abbott allegedly sending too many people to their cities failing to acknowledge the Biden Administration extending hundreds of thousands of millions of people to cities across the country in the middle of the night on planes, trains, buses, the mayor of new york is trying to say bus drivers will be arrested if they dont announce their arrival in new york. There picking up whatever they want to go. 2024 gop candidates, i will say this so i get the hate mail. [laughter] ron desantis, ive never in my life seen a candidate with a more impressive resume of better argument to make for himself, a poor job of convincing voters hes the alternative they are looking for and nobody is voting yet and i dont want to get ahead of it but am i wrong here or has this been a massive disappointment . I think its the wrong time to run, long time for most to be running. Not to say you shouldnt have a primary and voters get to choose so they get to choose the nominee but for ron desantis behind his Gubernatorial Race to get the endorsement from donald trump which put him ahead in florida, to run against trump at the time when people clearly want to renominate him and he set himself up for the situation where in florida he will likely lose the primary in a state where hes very popular, he won and turned the state ruby red, it is unfortunate because it look at his record, at the conservative record, anti bureaucracy record, anti woke Pedophile Record were hes calling out people were saying we will not let you talk to our kids about porn, is an amazing conservative record but in terms of who hes up against, he owed trump and endorsement and is not going well for him. Every bad things that happened to jump helps trump and ron desantis is left there, maybe try robbing a bank or something. It puts him in the position to defend the guy they are supposed to run against because what is happening is Banana Republic country with. Jump off the ballot because Secretary Of State and you want to protect democracy ironically, all of these things you have to be on the right side especially on the republican side when it comes to issues they are worried about, weaponization of the government against certain Political Parties so they always get put in this place where they have to depend, running against them, not good for politics to make any productions you are willing to make . Two and a half weeks away from iowa, i dont like making predictions, if the polls are wrong, it will be catastrophic in terms of things being different than they are showing up but in terms of every state, trump is running away with it, iowa, new hampshire, south carolina, nikki haley was the governor in south carolina, they look like they are going to lose their home states so super tuesday when trump is ahead and states like massachusetts and new jersey, it seems if the polls hold it will be over quick and we will know the nominee is. I dont think censorship is the answer but the only way to do something about it is you have to teach them the real stuff. You have to have open dialogue, one of the problems is we are so afraid if you are republican, you cant say anything that seems liberal or if you are liberal you cant say anything that may seem republican and there is so much gray area i am antiwar but not antiwar because i am is untrue, i am because i am protruding and i want to make sure if troops go out there and put their lives on the line, it is for a just cause so you have people reading things about Osama Bin Laden or defending hamas and if you are an advocate for peace, if you want peace in palestine, the last thing you should do is justify mass murder, you should be the loudest. Weve been through, the number of issues like what you talked about that ive changed my opinions or altered my opinions on is amazing but you do a lot of stand up shows, i imagine you get younger people so were you surprised to look up one day and see these people after october 7, people protesting in the streets in favor of hamas . Heres what i think, theres a lot of tragic things happening in the world and people dont feel they have a voice and they dont know what to do with their outrage so so much of it, i hope, i was raised jewish, im not a fan of antisemitism but i hope its ignorance and not hate because if you just see, if you only saw israeli civilians being killed, you would be like on against palestine. If you only want to see palestinians like what is israel doing . I think what i would love to see is basic jesus compassion coming first and if there are civilians on either side being killed, her, driven out of their homes and we can show empathy and sympathy before we jump to crazy Bait Conclusions where suddenly we are saying this is all jews or pro, like no, if you are pro palestine, you should be the loudest voice against hamas. Joining me now, andrew wheeler, the former Epa Administrator that hope to end Animal Testing once and for all. Andrew, thank you for joining us. Thank you for having me on your show. I think this story is so interesting because for a lot of reasons, why did you make the decision to phase out the Animal Testing . Ive been opposed to Animal Testing since i was a child. When i was in college in 1987, i wrote an oped on my Student Newspaper calling for the elimination of Animal Testing and when i became administrator, i looked at that and said its been 30 years and we havent made any progress. We are still doing the same animal tests since the 1950s and before and i thought in the position ive had is administrator if i wouldnt call for an end of Animal Testing the no one was and i set the deadlines and call for 30 reduction by 2025, six years o out. Elimination of Animal Testing by 2035 giving the agency and federal government 16 years to eliminate Animal Testing and i thought then and still do if we dont set goals we will never meet them. One thing if you could show Animal Testing saved human lives or improved human lives demonstrably, i think there would be a different thing but to me i feel so much of the government testing has nothing to do with approving people lives but probably its tied to massive Government Grant that pay for people to do these experiments. Theres no evidence these things actually improve peoples lives, correct . Theres very little evidence and the problem is if we dont improve animal tests and we never have them ready to go. There is the one test in particular, Lethal Dose 50 where they take 100 animals and inject a chemical to see where 50 of them will die and if theres too many who died that they lower the dose and if theres not enough, they increase the dose. Its practically a meaningful meaningless or test with the computer modeling, a lot of alternatives but we are not deploying alternatives because people are still using old methods they are used to theres a lot of Government Grants and funding that pays labs for the testing, a lot of research, its all being done, they dont want to see an end to Animal Testing and we dont and it, it will continue in perpetuity and we can because there are better methods to test on the impact on human lives. I want to get to another comments, i do think the Biden Administration was insistent upon bringing this back . It is the easy course of action. They have other priorities, their focus is on Climate Change and its hard, hard to get rid of Animal Testing for something i think ethically we need to do. Second thing, The Battle Over Electric Vehicle to take off next year we Learned Congress spent 7. 5 billion phone chargers two years ago and still built i think only one in the country but where is this going . The first chargers was told where i am today, theres a few charges and development in new york but taking two years, seven and a half billion dollars and they are just starting to deploy for charges. At the same time the Biden Administration is doubling down on requiring people to buy electric vehicles without the infrastructure in place. Biden called for 50 of all car sales evs by 2030 and just released a new regulation calling for 67 of new car sales evs by 2032 and last year cars from i think its great, all four conservatories for people want to buy them for what they are trying to do is social engineering people into ev regardless of the cost and regardless of the environment the cost for impact to society. Thats one of the most interesting aspect about the fact that the environmental cost forcing this on consumers who dont want it is probably greater benefit of the marketplace take care of it. Absolutely and again, i am all for evs, people should have the choice to buy them if they want but thats not where they are headed, its not what they are mandating and forcing and we are reliant on china for the Raw Materials and Earth Minerals to go into the batteries for these cars and just this week there was an explosion, chinese owned Nickel Facility that killed 18 people. When china is mining for these minerals and noting these batteries, they are not following Good Environment of standards, good Safety Standards and that where we rely upon, Fuel Electric Vehicles here in the united states.
