On the internet, at least 1 of them are psychopaths. They can make Death Threats. We do not know how to deal with this massive behemoth. And you can say thats not good enough. Dana if it is something that supports whatever your biases, makes you feel better. Everyone hates social media but no one is getting off of it. Shes willing to say what a lot of people and media wont say which is that theres a mission to bring down President Trump at all costs and they are willing to do that whether the information is true or not and that if they see an opportunity to paint somebody with a make America Great again hat or at a prolife rally or whatever the circumstance, they have the opportunity to paint them as bigoted or racist or whatever to tie them to trump, theyre going to do it. I appreciate that. Need people like that because some of the people in media, like greg said, they are sticking to their argument that they are not telling you why. They are not being honest about this is a mission to take down the president. They are saying oh, no, we are right for these kids really are racist and they are fishing for something the past that might indicate that. You have to be grateful for the people on the left that are telling you exactly why they are doing it and what they are doing. You and you know, you have the facts and you know what you are rallying against. Dana it also comes to how we get our news and the way that news outlets sometimes pay their reporters which is clicks, you are measured on how many times theres a website click to your story, does it contribute . I think we are all getting played badly by the story because theres more video and more video, but we only see portions of the video. Theres a new video out that says that two young woman said dana we have that. Its a video that these women said they were being harassed by some of the students beforehand, and we have that block . [shouting] im so tired already. Juan now this casts the kids in a very negative light as having harassed people previously. With their maga hats and the language. When i say we are being played badly, dana, im talking about that twitter had to suspend an account. They published highly polarized political content, left and right, intended to divide people. Supposedly based in california, turns out based in brazil and they dont exactly know whos putting it out. They are tweeting 130 times a day. 40,000 followers. The video which they pushed aggressively was then bought into by Mainstream Media in this country and again, the initial interpretation proved to be wrong. At that point, they had 2. 5 Million People looking at this video and leaping to some kind of conclusion. I will say nathan phillips, the native american elder, said the kid has never apologized to him. He felt stared down and he felt threatened by the kid and he thought that with the black israelites were up to was offensive but he thought the kids and the israelites were about to clash and he was trying to be a peacemaker. So now you get people on either side, especially the right and the fact that hey, a lot of these initial interpretation was wrong. Now the kids are to be protected. They are angels. I think boy, we as americans, we get fragmented, divided intentionally by these people for some reason and we play into it. We are such dummies. I would love to say this hard left is a minority and this isnt going to work and you need to appeal to independent voters but the truth is i think that the moderates on the left are in the minority. I actually think a lot of democratic voters now agree with what people are saying, what alexandria ocasiocortez is saying. There was a poll that said 59 of registered voters support a 70 marginal tax rate. I think democrat voters, millennials are going for what sounds good. It sounds good to say stuff is going to be free. Free education. Medicare for all. A green new deal, less fossil fuels. It sounds good and no one is paying attention that none of these candidates are explaining how stuff is going to get paid for, how its not going to bankrupt indices. In the social media age, that sound bite works. I think the shift to the left is probably a smart one and i think most of their voters will fall in line with them to be more supportive of a hard left candidate even though i wish that wasnt the case may want to say moderates still exist in the Democratic Party. I think they are the minority. Juan we will talk more about ocasiocortez in the next segment. Let me turn to jesse on joe biden because joe biden is someone that a lot of republicans dont have that much fight with. Here he is saying he thought that when he was, mostly in the 1990s, imposing additional prison penalties for the use of crack cocaine, he was wrong. You heard him say everybody of the time was saying crack, theres no coming back from crack. What do you make of that . Jesse yeah, crack is whack and hes right about that. Say no to drugs, kids. Can i speak in generalities . My preferred method . When you are a democrat, its good to apologize. When you are a republican, you should never apologize, heres why. When youre a republican, if you apologize you look weak. If youre a democrat and you apologize to me look compassionate. The Democratic Party has evolved so much over the last 10 to make 15 years, theyve changed positions on immigration, criminal justice, social justic, drug policies, gay marriage. If you look at the positions 10 and 15 years ago, those were held by democrats. Now they dont hold those positions anymore but heres their problem. They call republicans that hold both positions evil. So when you are asked the question, you held the same position 15 years ago, were you evil back then . They say oh, well, i wasnt evi evil. Republicans that hold the same positions i held 15 years ago, they are evil. The whole offensive strategy doesnt work anymore. Juan okay. By the way, i thought what we heard from gillibrand, she said she was wrong. She was looking out for her kids, not everybody else. I thought she said she was wrong. Jesse she said shes not trump. She said trump is evil for having the same positions i held ten years ago. Jedediah in other words, she was wellintentioned. Juan when we hear about someone like kirsten gillibrand, an opponent for amnesty for illegal immigrants, wanted to increase funding for i. C. E. And other things he now says no, what do you make of that . Dana the apology does two things. One is that you can say i have addressed it. Im moving on. Keep pointing back to the one apology made. The second thing is that the bad thing is that makes you look inauthentic. Or do voters really want . They want authenticity. Thats why beto orourke is on the road typing out some process he goes along because people say they want to know that. President trump never apologize for anything. I was surprised that joe biden because to your point that maybe there might be some soft republicans who think maybe biden wouldnt be so bad, the thing is one of the reasons a soft republican might like joe bidens because he did the right thing at that time which was he was tough on crime. If you look at the crime rates, it had an effect. He has to pander to the left which i think will hurt him in a general if you were to get there. Juan by the way, greg, its interesting to me because i remember when people on the left and specifically black democrats were going after Hillary Clinton. Do you remember this question like they said Hillary Clinton was tough on drugs and the like in Hillary Clinton and they said are you going to make a statement she said we could get Yankee Stadium to save us. I dont know enough about the differences between crack and criminality and other types of cocaine and criminality. The argument here is that people who were doing crack were treated differently than people doing powder cocaine. I dont know the details of this world. Ive never tried a drug in my life. Anyway. [laughter] my point is there might have been a criminality aspect, a gang mentality, i dont know, that had to do with crack cocaine. All we know is that we saw dramatic reductions in crime. The problem right now is that the hard left makes it so that they keep shifting the morality every year. In five years, everything we say on the five will be prevent us from running for office. Within the Climate Change argument, she is working on exaggeration, tertiary sources, secondary sources, but sorted donald trump. Shes also doing something donald trump is doing saying memorable things that are in her world directionally true. They might be completely inaccurate but directionally true. Thats why she gets the applause. The world could ended 12 years. Obviously thats wrong. But they are saying that her mind is going in the right direction. We can mock her for all of this but we are guilty of what everybody else did was trump, on morning joe on cnn, which is laugh until youve built her up to a certain statue that you cant laugh at her anymore. I think thats why even her peers in the Democratic Party are upset. They dislike her because shes on 60 minutes. Shes on colbert and she just showed up. What does that sound like . The way you hear them frame it and i think the republicans better Pay Attention to this, that there was a tax cut for the rich and absently help the rich. Look at the stock market. Look at what the companies did. They bought stock back. They didnt reinvest. You have billionaires that are wealthier and you have wages that have only gone up 2 . Greg knock it off, dana. The interesting part is the attacks on people who make more than 10 million. It was widely condemned as inviting us to be a next venezuela. You look at capitalism and socialism a new look at those countries, look at countries that have rich capitalism and watch what its done to the economy. Look at socialist countries. Unfortunately in this country we are getting to be where we have to walk through the mud in order to experience its like why do we have to suffer through social doesnt understand that socialism is bad . Other countries have paved the way for us to get that message. I agree with dana that shes a leader but i think if you watched her in the interview where she actually got challenged. Its kind of sad that people are stunned that she would say the National Anthem could be used as a Unifying Force for the country so removed for that and has made the National Anthem so divisive. Shes saying you can be a social Justice Warrior and sing the National Anthem and be a unifying moment, its foreign to people. Its sad. Greg almost every segment or issue we talk about has to do at its core with identity politics. It never ends well. Maybe this will finally be a healing moment. I hate to say healing moments. Jesse i was going to use another analogy. I think gladys put the last shovel of dirt on kaepernicks grave. Heres why. Kaepernick is over. No one cares about kaepernick anymore.
