The officer said he fired because the driver lunged at him with a knife, but that is not what the Body Camera Video shows. The driver never got out of his car. Dramatically different from what police initially said. The officers gave multiple commands for him to drop the weapon. The male did not. Actually he lunged at the officers. Dial, a fiveyear veteran of the force whos also only 27 years old, turning himself in, charged with multiple felonies. We have been trying to make it very clear that justice is evenhanded. It is evenhanded if you are powerful or not powerful. Reporter but the police union is standing by dial, and his attorney claims that dial acted to protect himself after his partner yells out there was a gun. Fearing he would be the next Police Officer killed on the streets of philadelphia, he fired. Reporter but there was no gun found, and irrizarys family says there is no evidence of him attacking police. His aunt telling our wpvi they are heartbroken. We dont know what the officers first said at the scene, but two days after the shooting, police admitted their initial statement was misleading. Today dial was arraigned and released on 5,000 bail. Next tonight, the Special Grand Jury that met last year to investigate interference in georgias 2020 election, weve now learned that they recommended that 39 people be indicted, including former President Trump. But last month District Attorney fani willis indicted just 19. Among those she did not indict were three u. S. Senators, including republican Lindsey Graham. Among them, senator Lindsey Graham and former georgia senators Kelly Loeffler and david perdue. Were not going to give up until we get a fair accounting of votes right here in georgia. I asked him questions about the mailinvoting process. I never asked him to set aside ballots or anything else. Reporter the Special Grand Jury also recommended indictments for trumps former National Security adviser michael flynn, among others. Jurors heard testimony from 75 witnesses over nearly 8 months. They were empowered to investigate and make recommendations, but District Attorney fani willis did not have to follow them. She took the case to a separate grand jury with the power to indict, and that grand jury charged 19 people, including trump, all of whom have pleaded not guilty. Mary Aaron Katersky joins us now. Former white house Chief Of Staff mark meadows had asked a judge to move his case to Federal Court, and were just learning the judge rejected that request. Reporter he did, mary, and meadows argued he was only doing his job as a federal employee when he did things like set up that browbeating phone call for trump and the georgia Secretary Of State. The judge rejected that saying that the job of white house Chief Of Staff does not include working with or for the trump campaign. Meadows thought he might get a better shake in Federal Court where there may have been a more favorable jury pool. More than 350 officers combing through a roughly 8squaremile area of Chester County. Law enforcement late today descending on this overpass after a possible sighting, guns ready.
