And but he think hes knows best so he doesnt ask and just keeps on going. I told you we should have turned right or turned left. I remember when we were kids in the back seat of the car. And i remember distinctly going on trips to Virginia Beach and my whoever got in the middle got the crummy seat because you had to sit on the hump. We called it the hump. My dad was always like i had the big hair. Hes like, move down. I was like, i cant. This is how it is. When you had to go like this so he could see through the back and we used to hate when anyone leaned on us. The leaning. You werent allowed to touch. I know. Stop leaning. Weve got our johnsons baby of the week when we celebrate new moms and their additions to their families. Our first johnsons baby is seth Ryan Mondragon born june 7th to jose and barbara in arkansas. His parents say they are enjoying every minute with their new son. Next up is the Landon Joseph montoya born on may 24th in chicago, illinois. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces. His parents heather and sam say theyd tell expectant parents that patience is key when you get your newborn home from the hospital. No kidding. Now to a little lady brook louise breitengross, born june 13th. Her mom says that baby brooke has so much hair they could even see it on the ultrasound before she was born. That could be a problem later in life. And our last johnsons baby of the week is Owen Max Azad born may 21st in new york. So you are thinking ahead. What is there for september that i can start to get a handle on . And thats the way to start showing that you are there. Instead of, can i have friday off because i want to go to the beach. Which is what everybody else is saying. How quick does it come, a job change or job title change. Those dont come quickly, do they . Three months is a good amount of time. Three months is enough time that you can actually take what your boss has said to you and put it into action. And you can show some resolve. Its not like saying i want to see something in a month. Sometimes its what you look like, how you dress, how you walk in. Perception is reality. You have to beware of flip flop syndrome in the summer. You dont want to be i literally once had someone come in for a interview in a tube top. You dont want to be that person. What did you say to her . Not youre hired. Something other than that. What did you theres another way to think about flip flop. You dont want to wear flip flops in your brain either. Dont put yourself to sleep and you dont want to flip flop attitude. Because ive been in meetings in the summer where you look around and people are there zoning out. Their bodies are there but their minds arent, right . And you have to pull them back. That happens to me on a daily basis around here. So no flip flops. Once summer comes, hoda is at the beach. Is somebody talking right now . A good thing to go up to your boss and make it more casual like, can we get a coffee, can we talk, something less formal than going in for an official i think so. And its a great time network with other people. A lot of people have more free time in their schedule. Maybe the kids are off to camp and can meet you for a coffee in the morning. Its a really good time to tell yourself every week im going to do some kind of networking. Something. Iced coffee or chai works but heres another piece of it. Find someone that you dont really like, actually somebody you cant stand, and ask them to have coffee with you. No, indeed, silvia. I love you, silvia. No, we dont have to. Tomorrow. So this is our spice blend we start with. We use a dried rub of tarragon, thyme, oregano, salt, onion garlic salt, onion salt, paprika and cayenne pepper. This really is what does the parsley do . Its a fresh herb. I like having parsley fresh because its pretty easy to cut and prepare. Really coat that. Like you dont want to see any white skin or anything. And then i pour some buttermilk over it. Of course you do. Who doesnt . Buttermilk Fried Chicken. And the buttermilk, you want to marinate it overnight and it tenderizes it and lets the flavor come out. That baby is ready to fry up when you take it out. You coat it. It sits overnight and you see how all of the spices kind of meld together and then you dip it in flour. Come on. Put it in that oil. I cant wait. Now we used a free range chicken, organic flour. I feel like all those things really add up and make a difference. We use a rice spray oil which is a little harder to get for a consumer, but a really clean oil. Not a peanut oil. And let it come to like a crispy texture. So probably about five minutes. And then i remove it and put it on the baking sheet with a rack. With waffles. Of course. Thats what were known for. No salad. And our apple cider. Kathie, you want to try a piece . Yeah. Putting it on here lets the oil drip off and it is crispy and not really oily. The sparkling wine is my favorite.
