Al roker, and matt as the night off. Nine hours after she went to the hospital, i am just as excited as anybody. We really are. You are. Its almost weird. It seems like we might be in for a long day of labor. She might be in for a long day of labor. We are just watching. Natalie has been out there, and its 59 degrees out there, and she has a reflector under her and is being broiled. The duchess was admitted ten hours ago after arriving by car, and a palace spokesperson says things are progressing as normal. Which means taking a long time. We also heard from grandad, Prince William. He raised his hands. First, his first grandchild. The first gift for the royal baby. Did you see that happen there . Yeah. We have our eyes on the hospital to the palace to kates hometown. And natalie is outside st. Marys hospital. Good morning to you. What is the latest . Reporter good morning, savannah. Still no official baby birth announcement just yet, but hot off the presses, which is what we woke up to this morning, such great news that kate and william here at the hospital, and finally where the baby was on its way today. Labor perhaps a little more than nine hours since she was admitted at the hospital. They came in to the a private wing, from the back, and as you can imagine, we are just awaiting word, awaiting that birth announcement and hopefully that wait will not be much longer. Early this morning with william at her side, kate ended to the hospital from the palace, a sixminute drive away. William will attend the birth, and others are expected to be at the hospital, too. Assigned medical bulletin will be carried from the hospital through the streets of london to Buckingham Palace to announce a child has been born, and a twomile ride that will be broadcast across the world, and the declaration will be deplayed on the easel, and then we will given information gender and weight and sometimes eye color. And then a solute, and 62 blasts will mark the arrival of a phao generation. Finally the duke and duchess of cambridge will emerge on these very steps with their new baby, just as charles and diana did 31 years ago. We hope to see a royal aide carrying a birth announcement. The bulletin will be delivered by him in a car all the way over to Buckingham Palace, about a twomile drive, ten minutes or so and there will be press coverage, and sort of like a slow car chase all the way to the palace, and then the birth announcement will be placed on a gold easel, and then we will get the details, and including what everybody wants to know, is it a prince or princess. I guess in the past it has taken a while for the royals to name their babies. Reporter it has, because its a huge decision, as you can imagine, naming the future heir, the third in line to the thrown, with Prince Charles, apparently it took his mother a month to name him, and with Prince William, diana and charles, it took them about a week. We are hoping we will know right away, but for now we will be standing by waiting some more. Natalie, thank you so much. She is at her post, and one day soon we will see her again, we can only hope. Al said, you originally said how long for labor . I thought it would be by around 11 00 east coast time. That was in your professional opinion that was your forecast. Yeah, and she has been in labor about nine hours and the hospital released a statement saying she is, quote, being cared for by an expert team of consultants and mid wives, and good to know, and our chief medical editor, Nancy Snyderman is there. Good morning to you. Yeah, we are all waiting for that door, and every other door in the hospital is being used. We talked about this being her first baby, and not unexpected that labor would go on for a little while. Take us through the early part of the process. Reporter as you well know, the contractions start slowly, and it would not be uncommon for kate to have waited overnight for the contractions to have become significant before coming to the hospital. You can see the nine hours we have all been waiting here and added another six to seven hours on top of that. Because this is the first pregnancy, it will be longer than any subsequent pregnancies, and so she will check in and they will take her vital signs, and then she will be monitored as well as the baby, and the strength and the frequency of the contractions, and they will check oxygen saturation, and thats very important for the baby, because as the contractions get stronger, if there is any concern this baby is in distress and the oxygen levels drop, sometimes you could see a csection, and as long as things are going slowly but assuredly in one direction, there are such Important Reasons for this to be a regular delivery. And special precautions are taken, vip. Reporter you wanted to be treated like everybody else and thats to allow the labor to progress normally, and if there are no concerns about the safety of the mom or baby, the lungs are squished, and a baby has easier times breathing when he or she takes that first cry, and we know there is a colony of things that help the baby, and you dont get that in a c section. The push will be, one, to treat her normally, and two to hope for a vaginal delivery. Thank you so much. As natalie pointed out, the bulletin announcing the birth will be driven from st. Marys hospital to buckingham. What is the scene like there . Reporter good morning. A lot of people have gathered outside the gates of Buckingham Palace, here, and many have been sightseeing and some are saying they want to wait for the notice to be posted and they may have to wait sometime. We want you to know where along the gate it will be posted. The queen is not here, by the way. She is at windsor castle, and she only comes here for some occasions. She wanted the baby to be born before she went on vacation. Her word is the command. The baby, not born yet, knows already who the boss is. Kates mom was supposed to be in the delivery room and her sister as well . Reporter thats right. We dont know. We think some of the family are at the family home, but we dont know what their movements are exactly, and what we do know, of course, the first phone call from outside of that hospital, the first news to emerge from outside that private wing will be a phone call from william to the queen, and then the announcement will be made. When you say william is going to be making the phone call, thats a modernization of the normal procedure, right, william wanting to make that call personally, and he is obviously very close to his grandmother . Reporter absolutely, and william driving with kate to the hospital this morning, too, how much this couple wants, despite all of this, to try and be a normal couple, to do the things that ordinarily families would. You get this picture this morning of kate, pregnant, go into labor, and william going with her to the hospital, just as so many families do at this time. Well, its very exciting. Thank you so much. He is there at Buckingham Palace where eventually that easel will be placed there. I like that oldfashioned touch . Yeah, and they will tweet it. I think they need flowers or something on the easel. It looks so bare. Its a queen or king. Yeah, and they announced they will have a golden eagle flying yeah, and it will have flowers on it, and will be very exciting. 2013, bring it. And its your first baby, so much to worry about, and then the whole eyes of the world upon you. Yeah. I think she was prepared for it, being his wife, and she will be prepared of being the mother of a future king or queen. We will have a report from another scene, and thats bucklebury, england. We want to switch gears, and we have other breaking news. Breaking news for the pope. Pope francis begins his first trip abroad as pontiff this morning. His destination, rio de janeiro. Claudia is there with a preview of the visit. Good morning. Reporter good morning. We expect the pope to arrive in rio in about five hours, and the schedule for the day has already been changed and we are being told because of Security Problems and issues. Now israelly he will be welcomed by the president of brazil, and then he was meant to drive to the Governors Palace to attend his welcomed ceremony, and that has now changed because he will now we have been told that he will drive downtown where he will swap the car, and he will jump on the pope mobile without the bullet proof glass, and he will drive around and welcome the pilgrims and brazilians and he will go to a smaller airport and he will catch a helicopter that will take him to the Governors Palace to attend the welcome ceremony. Why . We are being told that the security sources, there is already a protest being organized outside the palace, and its not against the pope or the trip, but its against corruption, but they know the Media Attention is on the pope here and they want to get their message across. Thank you very much. Chinas state media reporting this morning at least 75 people were killed, nearly 300 others injured after a earthquake in western china. Thousands of homes collapsed in the 6. 6 magnitude quake. And then a 5yearold girl trapped in the window drill of a 24story apartment was rescued this weekend in central china. The girl climbed out of the window and got her head caught between the bars, and more than 200 feet above the ground. Firefighters broke open the window grill while a local resident climbed out from the neighbors window and reached that child. Unbelievable. And evacuation orders have been lifted for thousands of people chased from their homes by a wildfire near palm springs, california. And heavy rainfall helped the firefighters. And in southern oregon, hundreds of firefighters are battling a fire that is near a popular resort. Phil mickelson came from behind, and he birdied four of the six holes in the final round. He called it the best round of his career. By the way, tiger woods finished sixth. Its now 7 14, pacific time. Savannah, david and al . You think he is hanging around for the royal baby . Were following new developments in the investigation in a deadly Amusement Park accident in texas. What lead a woman to fall to her death . Janet is in arlington this morning with the latest. Reporter good morning to you. The texas mom that fell to her death on the roller coaster was concerned about her safety restraint even before the ride left according to witnesses. The park is going to be open today but the ride is closed until a new safety inspection. Just as millions of americans pour into the nations Amusement Parks, a deadly accident is bringing new focus into the safety of roller coasters. A texas mom, rosy esparza fell from the 14 story high roller coaster at the six flags Amusement Park. The guys that were sitting right behind the lady said right when they came down off the first bump and hit that first turn she flew out. Witnesses say esparza was concerned about her lap bar restraint even before the ride started asking operators to click her bar more than once but six flags said the hydraulic seat restraint on the texas giant does not make a clicking noise. Theres no system which could have included a lap belt. Doesnt mean you still cant get killed or things cant happen, it means that the protective level is increased significantly when theres a back up system. Reporter since texas is one of 21 states without official government oversight to investigate Amusement Park accidents six flags is leading its own investigation into esparzas death. Its not the only theme park accident this weekend. In ohio seven were hurt after their boat rolled backwards down a hill and flipped over in water. All seven were treated and released. Bottom line, while most rides and parks are safe, riders should remain cautious. Generally, take a look around. Read the rules. Follow the instructions. Pay attention to the operator. If you dont like what you hear or see, dont get on it. Reporter from this point forward, six flags itself, not any Agency Charged with the investigation if this was a mechanical error or perhaps a human error. Back to you. Thank you. We have seen in the last couple minutes a stepped up security presence here. Metropolitan police are lining up along the streets. I imagine its just to make sure that everybody, the media, keeps a safe distance away, and they are getting prepared for the inevitable when the birth announcement is displayed. The media is getting more anxious, and we are all getting a little impatient and thats true, because we are going well on into 9 1 2 hours, and all of us waiting some sort of word. We do know the queen has arrived back at Buckingham Palace, and the flag was placed over the top of Buckingham Palace and thats to give the alert that the queen is now in residence, and she was in windsor earlier today, and thats a sign that the queen is getting ready for the birth announcement to be displayed when its driven over there by the royal aide, and only at that point will the palace announce the details of the birth of the child, what time the child was born and what it looks like, and what a lot of people are interested in, the gender of the child, a prince or princess. We want to get more on the queen right now, and we have the Vantage Point there at Buckingham Palace. As natalie was saying, we have seen in the last 20 minutes or so the flag raised above Buckingham Palace. Its called the royal standard. Can you call it the queens flag, i suppose. Its flown above the royal palace when the queen is there and it is flown on cars and on airplanes when they are on the ground, and it indicates the queen has arrived here at Buckingham Palace, and we dont know whether or not if that is significant in any way, and its not uncommon for her to travel between the two palaces for her to carry out duties, and there is no sign of the easel, and some people have gathered there, and some are waiting for the note to be posted by gate, and they may have a while to wait. No sign of action on the tkpwroupd, but the flag raised to indicate the queen is here at Buckingham Palace. I want to bring in martin this morning. Are you full of anticipation like we have been for the last ten hours . Anticipation, yeah. It has been a spectacular summer in britain. We have had the rugby team win in australia, and the royal baby, its tremendous and exciting. Talk about this royal couple and how they fit in to the dynasty, to the tradition, at a time when they would also like to have some trapings of a normal life . I think when you see this child in the traditional photo, you should take note. I think this child will be far less exposed than william was. He has an intense dislike of the media and the press, and second, his wife, princess catherine has been obedient, and she doesnt have relationships with the media and doesnt talk to the press like williams mother did to me and others, and then thirdly, the phone hacking allegations. In 2005, it was a text message on Prince Williams phone about a knee injury that started the investigation into phone hacking, because the palace couldnt believe that somebody actually got that information. I think for that reason, this baby is going to be far less exposed to the public than william himself and brother were. And william, influenced by his mother, and things that she did to him to shield him to let him have a normal life. Its a bittersweet moment. I can tell you that my family had an experience with the princess of whales that william will not have, because when our third child was born, the princess of whales came into the delivery sweet where our baby was born, and we never talked about it, and she held our baby in her arms, and for william, he will never have his mother obviously play that role as a grand mother, so its a bittersweet moment. And about continuance, he certainly embraced his mothers naturalness and desire to engage in normality, if you would like, outside of all the trappings of royalty, and thats why they have both been at their parents house in the buildup of this as opposed to the palace. There are some traditional trappings as to how its announced. Yeah, there will be a 21 gun salute, and normally a 21gun salute is the tradition, and its 41 with a baby born, and then a baptism in the chapel at windsor or westminster abbey. And one has to keep in mind that princess catherine is not a member, and for the first time that brings in a much dare i say, ordinariness to the royal family. You will watch with us as we go along here, martin. Thank you. We want to go and get a check of the weather from al. We have monsoonial moisture. We have flash flood watches. Wet weather stretching from the gulf coast, and the ohio river valley and northeast, and as we move into tomorrow, we have more heat continuing out west, sunny southwest, and mild as you make your way in the Pacific Northwest. And look for wet weather to continue from the central Mississippi River valley into the ohio river valley, and into Northern New England and a slight risk of strong storms with an isolated chance of tornados i 7 38. Thank you, al. Good morning to you at home. You made it to monday. Hopefully you had a great weekend. Temperatures will be comfortable today, down little bit from yesterdays highs. Well talk to his parents exclusively in a moment. First, their sons story by all accounts, Nathan Woessner shouldnt have made it. What started as a fun family weekend on the shores of lake michigan. Just all the fun thanks come with camping. Quickly took a terrible turn. Nathan, his father greg, and friends were climbing a 126foot sand dune named mt. Baldy. Just remember telling, you know, kind of hollering, screaming, that nathan fell in a hole. And from there, just utter chaos. My friends son, he got stuck in a sand dune. And hes like under the sand, and we cant get him out. Until rescuers arrived, they tried to dig nathan out using only their bare hands. I just had such panic and fear and desperation to get to him. I remember watching the backhoe digging, and they were soaked in sweat and covered in sand. And they were just digging frantically. Those rescuers did not give up. After digging more than three hours and more than 14 feet, they spotted nathans head. He apparently sunk straight down. Authorities say a sunken tree may have created the air pocket that allowed him to survive. We didnt find out until we were back at the hospital. A paramedic came in, and all i remember hearing is hes alive. Nathan was in Critical Condition and had to be sedated for nearly a week so doctors could clear his airways of sand. His recovery, they say, could be one for the record books. Whether you want to call it a miracle or just the best luck in the entire world, you know, the holes in the swiss cheese lined up just rate f just right for this kid. Nathans parents, greg and faith, with us exclusively. Good morning to both of you. Good morning. Good morning. Well, let me ask first how nathan is doing. So how he feeling this morning . At the moment still sleeping. Otherwise, hes doing exceptionally well. I know he was intubated and unable to breathe on his own for a while because of all of the sand. Is he now up and about a bit . Yes. He he has been getting up, moving around. We made a trip down the hall yesterday. And just phenomenal. Hes doing just awesome. Faith, it must be so hard to see your little boy lying in a hospital bed. But at the same time, you must be so thankful that somehow he was able to survive. We are extremely thankful for everything that yes. You know, not just his survival but everybody that had a role to play in this. I i cant say enough about everyone involved. Greg, tell us sorry, go ahead. Were just very, very grateful for everything that they did for nathan. And like my husband said, were just cant express our gratitude enough for the rescuers and the nursing staff and everybody that helped bring nathan back to us. Were thankful to god for, you know, being there with us. And bringing nathan back to us. Greg, i cant imagine your terror for both of you as you realized your son had fallen into this dune. This is a dune that people are allowed to play on. What was going through your mind as you searched so frantically for him . Theres probably a million different things. You know, i just frantically wanting to try to get to him and, you know, the sense of calmness held me tight, just to focus on, you know, what we needed to do that day. And i just dont dont have an answer, you know. I just focused right on him the whole time. Well, faith and greg woessner, we know that are you people of faith. A lot of people look at this as a miracle. Thank you for being here this morning and sharing your story. Thank you. Thanks. And just ahead, we will stay on top of this mornings breaking news. Lots of folks enjoying a nice, i would say cooler day here in new york city after we had the heat wave over the last week. We are also keeping a close eye we should remind you on that door. The most watched door in the world perhaps right now. St. Marys hospital in london where of course the duchess of cambridge is inside. She was admitted overnight. She is in the early stages of labor and well keep you posted on everything. Good morning everyone im Savannah Guthrie alongside David Gregory who is in for matt and al roker. Coming up on trending have i told you how lovely you look today. Thank you. Why is it women have a hard time accepting compliments. Well talk about that. We are. That was a setup. I was playing a role there to illustrate the story. Yeah. We also have a moving story about a young woman that went above and beyond over the weekend to capture a special moment with her ailing dad. A really touching story and well have fun on our plaza with emmy winner lisa kudrow but first we want to check in with Natalie Morales on high alert at st. Marys hospital. Good morning again. Reporter good morning. I can tell you whats really trending today. Royalbaby. The words everybody woke up to this morning is that Kate Middleton was in labor and was admitted here at the early hours of the morning here before 6 00 a. M. Local time, 1 00 a. M. Eastern time here at st. Marys. She came accompanied by Prince William, of course, and we expect she is about seven hours into labor. Were just awaiting word of any moment of news. News that a baby has arrived. How that will come is we expect to see a piece of paper. Literally just a piece of paper. A birth announcement is going to emerge along with a royal aid and he will then take that birth announcement over to Buckingham Palace. Its a twomile drive. Its a drive followed by helicopters here as you can imagine as a slow car chase and then that birth announcement will be displayed at the palace, at Buckingham Palace and only then will we know the details of this baby such as eye color, obviously, most importantly, a lot of people expecting to know the gender then and the hair color. So all the details that only emerge once that birth announcement gets over to Buckingham Palace. A lot of excitement here today. Meanwhile, Prince Charles is at an event in york this morning and as you can imagine the gifts already pouring in. He was approached by a mother of a young child who handed him a childs toy and said this is for the baby to which Prince Charles said it hasnt arrived just yet but ill be sure to pass it along. A lot of excitement. The worlds media out here. Ive been here all week and this is a scene i have never seen before quite like this. Hard to move around here but certainly a lot of excitement building and everybody waiting and watching that door. David back to you. Natalie, thank you very much. Nbcs special correspondence is outside of st. Marys, you have your own story a little closer to home. Good morning. With your own family where your sister is actually in labor giving birth today, right . We have a saying here in england that you wait for buses for hours and then two come along at once. I was actually in here this morning helping drop my sister and her partner off so im kind of like the rest of the world waiting for the royal baby but what im also describing as the other baby. Give us your own sense of the anticipation with the royal couple. Both how theyve tried to approach this as normal a couple as they can try to be under these circumstances and how you describe that sense of anticipation, this kind of new generation of royal watchers. Well, listen, im sure everyone has been describing the scenes here. I havent actually been to where the press were waiting and its pretty extraordinary. I cant really imagine that build up of pressure but certainly from my own experience with my sister, theres enough people calling saying has it arrived yet. Imagine, you know, with this going on. They have always been fantastic at rising above that, ignoring whats going on beyond those windows behind me and getting on with it very normally. They want to be as normal a couple as they can possibly be and they do it very well. All right. Ben vogel, thank you very much. We are going to head inside to tamron hall for a check of the mornings top stories. Good morning. Good morning. The woman that survived a watery nightmare after her car plunged off the Chesapeake Bay bridge is telling her story. Nbcs Peter Alexander is in maryland with more. Peter, good morning. Good morning to you. Morgan lake is one very lucky young woman. This is one of the scariest bridges in all of america. So bad that for years police would offer to take drivers across the bridge if they were too afraid to do it themselves. Her survival story began friday night when a tractor trailer slammed into her car from behind. It was a huge truck. All i saw was the nose of it coming full speed to me. So i thought i was going to die. The force of the crash being rear ended by a tractor trailer friday night was enough to push morgan lakes car off marylands Chesapeake Bay bridge. The 22yearold was buckled in. Still, the drop was 40 feet. I saw the sky slow, i saw land slow. I saw water and as soon as i saw water i just clenched and my eyes shut and i just knew that i was going to die. I was going down. The impact with the water morgan says felt like hitting concrete. The car was quickly submerged. I felt like i was drowning. I felt like my body was getting full of water. And i didnt want to go out that way. You didnt want to go out that way . I didnt want to go out that way, no. Her escape route, the drivers side window, the glass shattered by the crash. I swam and swam and swam and as soon as my lips got out of that water, i just took five really deep breaths and gasped for air. Morgan, a Fitness Instructor swam to one of the bridges pilings. Im looking at everyone on the bridge and i yelled someone call my mom. Someone please just call my mom and a civilian did. Remarkably morgans only injuries, a sprained ankle and elbow and plenty of bad cuts from the shattered glass. Over the weekend, crews recovered her car from the bottom of the bay. Are you going to drive that bridge again. One day. No time soon . No, no time soon. It really is quite a story. No charges have been filed. The investigation is still ongoing, but tamron, get this, it could have ended very differently. She fell 40 feet. At its highest point, the Chesapeake Bay bridge is more than 180 feet above the bay below. Peter, that is unimaginable. What a story. Thank you very much for bringing it to us. Were going to go back to natalie at st. Marys hospital to get the very latest. Natalie . Now were going to natalie. It rolls on baby. All right. Good morning savannah and david. On this exciting day, one cant help but think of Princess Diana and the kind of grandmother she would have been. At just 20 is when she became a mom herself and broke the mold for royal motherhood and now one can imagine she is still going to have a profound influence on this child. I would love to have met her and shes obviously shes an inspirational woman to look up to. Back then, a newly engaged kate was already taking her cues from diana, and now more than ever she will need that inspiration as she herself becomes the next generation of royal mom. Diana was very much a part of her kids lives. It seems that william has learned from his mother diana and is trying to reflect her sense of how to be a good parent. Normal was what diana wanted from the moment william and harry entered the world, she was already breaking royal rules, choosing to have them at the hospital instead of at the palace. Diana wanted ordinariness in so many ways, in fact, making her children go to regular schools. Yes, in the early days Prince Charles wanted to School Prince william at Kensington Palace where they lived but diana prevailed. That was a big breakthrough at the time. He was the first future king to actually go to school. So off he went, first day of school with photographers following his every step. While william enjoyed school, he learned early on to not trust the media. But for some reason, even at age 5, he had this sort of semihatred for the press and the media as he said in this just william way, i dont like photographers. He couldnt say photographers. I dont like tographers. Seeing his parents bitter divorce splashed all over the tabloids and in 1997, his mothers death due to a paparazzi car chase. William was just 15. His life forever changed. But he learned how to live with grace and in privacy. Now as william and kate face this new era of bringing up not just a future heir but the most famous baby in the world. There is more reason than ever to be very guarded. We must remember that this child has been born into an extraordinary world. One very different to the world that william and harry was born into. Williams godfather has this advice for kate. Give the child as much affection as she can and shell do anyway. And give it all the opportunities that life has for it because it will have a restricted life. A life tied to the throne. You can imagine the middletons will also be a strong presence in the childs life. And Prince Charles already speaking very excited about being the grandfather. He asked some ladies for some advice at an event recently and they said to be sure to spoil the child rotten and at the end of the day to hand the kid back. Prince charles said what id like to do is encourage them and show them things to take their interest. My grandmother did that and she was wonderful, savannah. All right natalie. Thank you so much. Jazz hands then. How about that. It keeps getting worse. Mel is with us this week. Were excited to have her back while natalie is in london in the final stages of royal baby watch. I was so excited when i heard she had gone into labor. She is in labor and natalie is there outside the hospital. Lets go to her right away. Natalie, whats going on. Hey, day 8 and finally shes still smiling. And news this morning here that of course the duchess of cambridge was in the hospital admitted around 6 00 a. M. Local time here, 1 00 a. M. Eastern time there into the hospital already in the stages of labor. We are told by a royal palace spokesperson that her labor is progressing along normally. She has been at it now for about 8 hours and as you know labor takes some time and if you hear that song going, were hoping that gives her a little extra push to move things along. But obviously a lot of excitement here. The media frenzy has grown by leaps and bounds. Media from all over the world here. How well get word that a baby is born, a royal birth announcement will be hand delivered. It will come from outside the hospital here at st. Marys. Theyll take that birth announcement and drive it all the way to Buckingham Palace. Its about ten minutes. It will be a little bit like a slow car chase with the helicopter following the car all along the route and then theyll place the birth announcement over at Buckingham Palace, behind the gates on a golden easel. This is in keeping with tradition as they did when Prince William and when harry were born as well. But in a modern twist, the palace then said they would also release a tweet at that moment in time but only then will we see that announcement there at Buckingham Palace will we finally know all the details everybody has been waiting for, most importantly, what did she end up having . Boy or girl. Prince or princess. But natalie we might not know the name for awhile. Wasnt it like a month before they named charles and a week before they named william. Really . That long . Charles took some time apparently. So that was a month and william was about a week before diana. No, no. Sorry. Im giggling. Mel was just giggling. Sorry. It could be awhile. It could be awhile. But were hoping all the betters have been talking about some of the names that are high on the list and alexandra still leads for a girl and interestingly, some of the other names, charles and william are on the list for a boy. Prince charles did speak earlier today to a very happy mother of a child giving a little gift already to the baby and heres what he had to say. Thank you very much. Its for the baby. Ill see what i can do, thank you. He is so this guy, you cant shut him up. I used to hang out with prince harry and william. You did . Hes a soon to be grandfather so very excited. All right natalie. Were going to check back in with you. Natalie cheer up, youre in london. Hey nat, before you go, do you have your bag packed yet . Do you have your bag packed . My bag to come home . Yes. Yes i want to come home. Im hoping to come home at some point. We miss you. Perhaps in the next couple of days. I miss you guys too. Not much longer now. See you later. So are we more excited about this baby on this side of the pond tn they are i definitely feel like you lot are overly excited about it. Too much. The brits are in general but theres a real sense of excitement here. There is. Seriously. Okay. But back to the jam sandwiches with william and harry, how did that go down . They call you. They called us. They called our management and we would go visit them like once a month and sit down and have Peanut Butter and jelly jam sandwiches. How old were they at this month . Teenagers . 11 or 12. I remember jumping on their bed with them. Quite young. Wow. The mind boggles. Thats all we did, okay. They were kids. Stop it. Its monday morning guys. Lets talk about names. You said you liked alexandra. For a boy. I like william. It is different there. Willie. Yes. But i do like that name though. You got names cued up . I like edward. I believe its going to be a boy. I believe its going to be a girl. Everybody does. Im going with boy. Nobody knows nothing as they say. How long was your first labor. About 8 or 9 hours. Was it . Its painful. Its not pretty. No. But it can be quick. Sometimes people have them in the cab on the way to the hospital before the father can get up while hes parking the car. My youngest sister was 25 minutes. Wow, really . We literally went down stairs to get a sandwich, came back and she had a baby. Did she have an epidural. No, just boom. Horrendous. You had the needle right. Yeah. One with and one without. I had one too. Why did you need one. It was very painful watching. We put up a poll, 73 think its going to be a princess. 73 say it will be a princess. 27 say we have a prince headed our way. What do you think . I think its a boy and i hope his name is george because my son is george. King george some day. We like that a lot. Lets talk a little americas got talent. Yes, im so excited. Live shows across the street. Tell us about it. Whats going on over there. It goes live tomorrow. We have rehearsals tonight because were going to do a big grand opening that i cant tell you about just yet but my entrance is full on. I made sure that my entrance is the best entrance. What does that mean exactly . Smoke machines. I cant even tell you. A cannon. No he gets shoved in that one. It going to be exciting. It that has crazy buzz, like nothing stops at all. Makes me a little nervous sometimes when you want to relax but new york, you cant beat it. Its lovely. You were made for new york. You is the right speed and temperament. Are you saying im aggressive . Aggressive, out spoken, you dont back down. You do thing likes this on the air. She was arm wrestling willie. Are we going to throw up the picture. Put it up. Lets just throw it up there. Early morning, 1 00 a. M. Oh my god. What was he thinking . He its his birthday and he is celebrating his birthday, 70 is the new 30 he said. But do you think he was a little bit tipsy because didnt he take the picture back down . Well he did when his wife saw it. His body doesnt look bad. 70 years old he looks terrific. I just wish it had come up an inch or two. What was he doing . It was a selfie at 1 00 a. M. He was trying to display at 70 im doing well. He did take the picture down and then put up another tweet that said note to selfno tweeting after 1 00 a. M. That is cute. Which would imply he had a couple of drinks. His wife said this is what happens when i fall asleep first. Any embarrassing selfies . Twitter ever get you in trouble. I have. I did one twitter picture where the other spice girls dared me to moon my neighbors so i went out on my balcony and did a quick moon. And who took the picture though. My husband did. The paparazzi. Great and did you go back and delete it afterward. No i left it. Once its there its there. Good for you. Own it. Have you ever had an embarrassing twitter picture. I dont like to take pictures of myself and distribute them widely. Whats the upside to that. Your fans might enjoy that. Im going to deny them that privilege. Done. Sorry fans. Thats that. Jean is here to get us started and play a game. Nice to see you. What about me . Am i chopped liver . Nice to see you too. Nice to meet you. Shes star struck. Oh, stop it. Yes. Financial spice right over here. There you go. We need some of that. The most responsible. We all know we should have a Household Budget but how many of us sit down and do it . Only a third actually do it. Really . Which leaves 2thirds of people wondering where their money is going and thats a problem. When you dont know, you dont save and your future is a mess. Youre not investing. Exactly. Youve got a little game for us. Were going to break down a typical Household Budget. This is my budget pie chart. I have five categories. Each one goes with the segment of your budget and i want you to start with housing and tell me what slice of your budget should housing represent . You guys can stick that right on there. Housing not just your mortgage or rent. Its your taxes, its your insurance. Its your maintenance. Where do you think it goes. Thats 25. Thats what i was going to say. Were going right there. Yeah. Okay. Lets lets talk about transportati transportation. Youre not going to tell you. Transportati transportation. Not just your cars. Tolls, maintenance. 15. Life. This is everything else. 35 for that one. Its your gifts and its your living expenses. Food and living expenses, clothing and all of that stuff. Other debt repayment. Credit cards, student loans, personal loans, where does this one go. Whats the other one before so we can decide between the two. This one is the big, its savings. Feels like 15 should be savings so lets do that, 10. I think we have done really well. I think so too. Youve done im going to move this little table. Sorry to the props guys. You have done fairly well. So housing is actually 35 . Is it really . It really is. That feels like a lot. It does but if youre talking about your mortgage payment and all the other cost of living there, taxes get incredibly expenses. Do you do this for yourself . I do this. I save all of my receipts. I categorize them in a computer. I know where my money is going. I save receipts but i dont categorize them. Thats very, is that ocd. The key is to know where your money is going because especially when it comes to life people get messed up. They dont know how much theyre spending on eating out or gifts or other clothing expenses and once you understand where your money is going, then you can make changes about where you want it to go and then the budget starts to fall into line. This is the other one. So other debt repayment, student loans. So we did terribly. We got them all wrong. We got all of them wrong. You just rearranged the whole board. We were crap at that game. I applaud the fact that you wanted to be saving 15 . Anybody that can save 15 , that is awesome. Most people cant even get to 10 . So get to 10 first. That includes the money that goes into your 401 k and once you got it saved you can move on and start actually investing it. I dont think youre that serious. I think you let your hair down on a nighttime. Because she looks quite proper and all in the financial world but i reckon, those are the people you got to be careful of because they go nuts. With my life budget. I go a little nuts. I think jean and mel b. Night on the town. I got a show tomorrow i cant. Take your life budges together and go out and see what happens. Go out. Im game. Marys hospital and it will be driven over to Buckingham Palace and only at that point when its placed on an easel will we get the details of the baby, eye color, hair color and the gender. A yung woman in the business of helping others but then realized she had to help herself. Sarah brindle lost 153 pounds. First, take a look at her story. I dont know a time when i wasnt overweight. It was always in my genes to carry more weight than others, but i knew as a child that food played a bigger role in my life. In school, i was anxious, selfconscious and shy. I would use food to calm my stress. This pattern continued throughout adulthood and before i knew it i weighed in at over 300 pounds. I was anxious every day and i felt out of control. It was something i couldnt hide and also something i didnt know how to fix. I hated it. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. I attended graduate school for counseling and dedicated my life to helping others. After finishing graduate school, i was at my heaviest. I had a clear understanding one afternoon that i was realizing my greatest fear of being overweight forever. I spent plenty of time thinking about others. I thought maybe it was time to think about myself. In july of 2011, i took the leap. I fully committed to a chinge in eating. One day of change led into two and two into three and now i weigh 150 pounds and wear a size small. I feel ive led the layers and uncovered the real me and for that, im thankful. I think positively not only about my achievements but also about myself. Im not trying to be happy. I actually am happy. Distinction. That is terrific. Here with us is the leader of the joy fit club, joy bauer. So i think if anyone can compete with the royal baby arrival, its sarah. She is so incredibly inspirational.
