Investigators have a mystery on their hands this morning, local Law Enforcement in delaware describe the Vice President s neighborhood as very up scale, absolutely not the kind of place where shots are fired out of a speeding car. Thats exactly what happened and while the secret Service Increases security around the biden home, the fbi is looking for whoever did it. For hours investigators searched the area around the Vice President s delaware home, and his neighbors looking for bullets or any other clues after a series of shots were fired near the residence saturday night from a speeding car. The bidens were out for the evening but secret service was there and gave chase, along with local police, but the vehicle got away. The gun fire came from a public road outside the security perimeter, the house cannot be seen from there but the shots were clearly heard. The chase search of the area and questioning neighbors turned up nothing. Leaving investigators with a range of possibilities. Who was having a dispute in the area, is it known street criminals, is it unrelated to the Vice President , is it somebody who is mentally defective. Reporter there is always a security perimeter around the estate with its home and guard shack at the entrance. The Vice President and dr. Jill biden often spend weekends there away from public duty but not out of the public eye. Locals report he was at the home depot on saturday morning. A man was taken into custody less than an hour after the shoot, he had been trying to get around officers who were securing the perimeter but police havent charged him with anything to do with the shooting itself. Turning to dr. Azach, good morning to you. It started in disneyland, spread and as you look at 2014 its the worst year in terms of cases, numbers of cases of the measles since the late 90s. Its very worrisome. If you look at a graph of the number of cases its been below 200 a year. We expect some outbreaks but clearly this year has been worse and now in the wake of this california case were heading into 2015. Into 2015, already behind the ball. Why . There are two main important relationships. There has been a surge of cases worldwide. Some cases are simply imported from abroad, but probably the argument is that we have seen a decrease in vaccination rates that translated in a rise in cases because of that. The cdc said measles is one of the most contagious illnesses and you can catch it just by being in a room where a person with measles has been even if the person has left. Thats correct. Not only is it respiratory and spread through coughing and sneezing and touching your hand to your mouth, but it can survive on dry surfaces. There was a big outbreak in the late 80s. You had to be vaccinated as a little one and have a booster before preschool. If you are born or you were vaccinated before 1989, you may not be fully protected. You may not be. I wonder what my own status is. Most pregnant women get checked and a lot of schools and colleges require and demonstrate that you are immune. If you were born in the 1970s and 80s, you may not have received that second booster that we are recommending. The first is done around 12 months and you get the second around 4 or 5 years old. If you havent had that and you are unclear, its a blood test. You can see whether you are immune to measles, mumps and rubella. If youre not, you have one shot and one month later you are fully protected if you get both shots. We can see how quickly it can spread. Over to willie. Thanks. Today wildlife experts will head back to the east bay shores looking for birds with feathers that might be coated by a mysterious substance. More than 150 rescued seabirds are being cared for at International Bird rescues fairfield but at least 20 have died. That substance is described as thick and tacky, like rubber cement and experts say they dont know what it is so they dont think its petroleum. A homeless woman said he was thrown out of a trunk of a car in a park. Thrown in a trunk and dumped 6 1 2 miles away from where i was in the middle of nowhere with nothing. After reporting it to police, he viewed surveillance tape that showed him leave, heading to a parking garage with strangers. You see a guy putting his hand on my shoulder and it was all over for me. Its unclear what happened and allenbee was asking if he was drugged. Police are investigating and wouldnt say anything more. What do you have to say to people who are skeptical of the story. Eventually the truth will come out. He started out extremely well early in his career. Had a car accident in 1996 and never really caught up. He was considered outspoken, but raising millions for cancer research. Now his injuries have nothing to do with golf. His credit cards were stolen and there is evidence they are being used. He was checked out by doctors and reportedly did not have a blood test to determine if he was drugged. We will hear a lot more about this story when we find out more details. Reporter the Miss Universe contest is supposed to be about beauty, but it turned ugly because in that selfie are two women who represent countries that are in a constant struggle. Miss israel and miss lebanon. Its a selfie of four contestants, but when miss israel posted this picture with miss lebanon, it became an international incident. While the pageant may be a gathering to unite women, in beirut, television station al jahid said she should have known better than to appear in a photo because lebanon and israel are enemies. Miss lebanon claims she was photo bombed by miss israel, posting i was very cautious to avoid being in any photo or communication with miss israel, but tried several times to have a photo with me. I was having a photo with japan, slovenia and myself and she took a selfie and put it on her social media. I was not surprised. She just completed her service in the Israeli Defense forces denied she photo bombed anyone. I hope for change and i hope for peace between us. Even just for three weeks. Just between me and her. At one point dozens of trains nationwide conducted mlk day rides. For three decades the freedom train took people from san jose to San Francisco for the parade and rally. Organizers say though in recent years interest waned so this is the last year. It is sold out. Investigators are looking at two more suspicious firesover night in San Franciscos castro district. But then one of the bullets went through the drivers side door and thats what hit me in the stomach. The next bullet nearly cost him his life. He started shooting behind my car and it blew out my back window and then a bullet grazed the back of my head. Reporter after he was shot, crawford managed to drive a short distance crashing his car near a group of construction workers who initially thought he was the shooter but then called for help. Crawford underwent surgery and was released in late december. While there is still no sign of the shooter, crawford said hes grateful to be back at work. The falls county Crime Stoppers is offering a 20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man who shot crawford. Good morning to you. I like to unpack. Lets begin with what happened. We are talking about december 20th, a few weeks ago. This is something you have done before. You let your 10 and 6yearold walk home from different places. Explain what happened when the Police Arrived. The kids were walking home from a park. This is the longer trip they have taken. They got about halfway home when a police car pulled up. Two police cars pulled up and asked the kissed are you lost or need help and they said we are fine. We know our way home. The police asked do you live off this route . They said yes we know how to get home. They said why dont you get in the car and we will take you home. Someone was walking and called police. Was was that scary get picked up by police . No. Is this something your mom and dad let you do a lot . Walk home . Yes. What are the other places they let you walk home from . I walked home from school before. I have done it alone. We walked around the block a lot. We walked home from another park which is just around the block. And so mom, what happens when the Police Arrive at your doorstep . You must have thought something terrible happened . My husband was there and we were shocked. There were three Police Officers with our kids. They didnt explain what was going on. It was uncomfortable. We settled all that and took down the kidss names and my son came upstairs and said the police are here and i think they are going to arrest daddy. This sparked a Big Conversation since they went public with this. I talked to my wife and called my mother and we talked about it. It feels like a generational thing. My mother said when i was in second grade i walked to school and the bus stop. Do you think things have changed the way people perceive the risks out there . Enormously and we are shocked that this is an investigation and that is it became a National Conversation and it is considered perfectly normal a generation ago. Whats changed . The other side of this if we respect this point of view, there child abductions however small the number may be. They want to drive their kids where they are going or wait until they are teenagers. Do you understand that . I understand it, but whats unfortunate is we are overestimating the danger and underestimating our children. By driving our kids you are endangering them more. Child protective services visited your home and said if you dont agree to not have your children walk alone, we will remove the children. They threatened my husband and said you have to agree to have them supervised at all times. He said i dont want to sign this without talking to a lawyer or my wife. She said if you dont sign this, we are going to take the children right now. Where is the investigation now . They came to our door with a Police Officer unannounced a week later. We found out they interviewed the children without our knowledge or permission and tried to scare them. Now we are waiting to hear from them. It was a hard decision initially, but after seeing the episode, i think she would love it. She presents herself amazing. It will be a great tribute to her. It has been an interesting season. I have to say you had never seen such rivalry. Its all out war. Its because of my facial expressions. I was in shock. Even the First Episode and board room they pretended to like one another. Divorce documents clearly state that he would keep the house and be financially responsible for it after four years he still has not taken my name off the title and mortgage. When it comes to mill him, as long as its either skim milk or 1 low fat, soy milk, it doesnt matter. Then spray the tins with oil spray. And ill add a tablespoon to the bottom of each of these.
