Something about the kid who was so captiva stayed so cool on the golf course. To be so talent and to have a green jacket, and we will talk the more about Jordan Spieth coming up. And the Hillary Clinton president ial bid is kicking off already. Kristen welker is there. Hillary clinton is expected to come to iowa and she is expected to arrive today with two aides at the wheel, and that is here in iowa. One thing she learned in iowa is that you cant take this state for granted. Reporter in a slick ad, she is taking to the road. Im taking to the road. And her bid for president and she made it. The road trip to iowa, and she met a great family this afternoon, and many more to come. Clinton began the road to the white house overnight, with the 1,000plus drive from her gnome in new york to iowa and looking for the Second Chance and promising to press the fresh for every vote. She is go to kickoff the swing to the presidency through the Hawkeye State here in iowa. It was here in 2008 where he first president ial hopes started to crumble when she came in a stunning third between senator barack obama and john roberts. Aides and supporters say this time is going to be different with events engaged with oneonones. W type of campaign in living rooms and town halls. Reporter Hillary Clinton is already popular here, and they say they want a choice and not a coronati people are coming with questions, and prepared with answers. Reporter republicans here in iowa and across the co started to wage a counter attack against her including using her personal email while secretary of state, and she has said that the issue has started to resonate with some voters. She will hold her first campaignstyle event some time next m hoda and matt, back to you. All right. Kristen welker in iowa for us this morni and as chriskristen pointed the critics have been weigh in. And an and andrea m tell us about that. Good morning, andrea. Yes, Hillary Clinton says she wants to be the champion for everyday americans, but she says that the top is still stacked at the top, going to avoid the mistake cost her last time. I hope you will join us on the journey. Reporter this time she is promising a smaller journey and instead gender, she is going to play it up. Im still in the grandmother gl and what is different . In the primary, what voters are going the want to see is her earning the reporter from the republicans already a chorus of criticis we must do better than the Obama Clinton Foreign Policy that has damaged relationships with the allies and emboldened the enemies. There is sense of the clintons, they feel they are above the law. Hillary clinton is representing the failed policies of the law reporter she is upstaging marco rubio with his announcement to daiday, and including bill clinton who had bad headlines last time, and he says he will not do that this time around. Hillary will make a great president , and i will will make a better first dude. I dont want to hog your limelight, and im leaving. Look at me go. Im gone. Bye. Arent we a fun and approachable dynasty. Reporter and again, Hillary Clinton heading to iowa for a twoday swing across the hawkeye swing where she between barack obama and john edwards. It is going to be fun how it all pans out. A lot of travel. Thank you, hoda. And chuck todd is the moderator of meet the press and what is she running on and what is the message . If the Hillary Clinton camp could write the major headline, what would be . She launches a everyday american campaign. You saw it on the campaign already, everyday americans. And the facts, and nothing on the Foreign Policy or anything about washington, but everyday fairness about grandmother. And she is going to try to make it everyday americans, and families, and the americans are going to try the make it about one thing, Hillary Clinton, because she comes to the position with some political baggage and personal baggage, and who is going to win that . Well, it is tough for her, and it depends who it is. If it is jeb bush, it is harder to have a debate about the past, but sfit not jeb bush, it is marco rube e yoe rubio, and if is the rubio, it is more about t th put up the numbers, a poll if it was do you have a direction about the future or is it more about the past. And the past was 44 . And how about insp young voters. Barack obama did twice, and can Hillary Clinton do it at this amg . People under age 38 have never seen anybody with the name of 38 on a president ial ballot, so she has to e introduce herself to somebody under 40. So the fuewture is what inspires young americans, and that is the key to unlocking millennials. And you mention eded marco rubio, and he is expected to announce his candidacy today on the republican side. How big is the impact . Well, that somewhat scares them, because that put together with Hillary Clinton is a bad week for jeb bush. Bringing up dynasties, and jeb bush is so unpopular in florida, he could not chase marco rubio out of the r and in fact, marco rubio is bog to join us tomorrow on today show there is more fallout over that deadly shooting in South Carolina we are hearing what mark slager had to say minutes after the shooting. Here is gabe gutierrez. Reporter moments after the shooting, officer slager can be heard of what to be told by a fellow officer. To jot down what he saw after the ed a drenadrenaline s and then a voice believed to be sleigh ser thought to be speaking on the phone. Everything is okay. Okay. Reporter and he said that he thought that scott grabbed the taser, but he has not entered the plea. It has been a hard week. Reporter it is a week that followed the shooting of walter scott by the officer, and ended in handshakes by the mayor. I have received so many hugs and thanked for doing the right thing, and sometimes out of diversity can be growth. Reporter nbc, gabe gutierrez. All right. Cameron is in for natalie, and you have more news . Yes, everyone, officials in tulsa, oklahoma, there is video of a man trying to flee an undercover gun deal, and this is an indent that took place earlier in the month. A volunteer deputy he mistakingly pulled out the gun and start toded to fire, and they are considering charges against the reserve deputy. A lockdown after a shooting on the c and one person has been shot at Wayne Community college in golds wor borrows, and Pete Williams is joining us. According to the law o officials, over if left eye fired the shots over the campus of the community clemg can. He is said to be at the Community College, he was said to be firing with a rifle. The early wo victim has died. Scores of police have responded searching for the gunman and fac ul ti and to shelter in place. And there is no word yet on the identity of the victim, and no information on the identity of the gunman nor what the motive was, and the school, Wayne Community college is 50 miles northwest of raleigh, and the enrollment of about 4,000. Thank you, Pete Williams, very much. Manhole explodes. Watch yourself, watch yourself. Heads up, heads up, heads up wow. Heads up indeed. Police close that off. Look at that again. Nobody was hurt, and the cameraman was steady, and the person who was being interviewed did not run off either. How much does that weigh . That could have killed him instant instantly. Explos t everybody is okay. And mentioning again that tamron is in for natalie today. And al, how was the vacation . Spectacular, and great weather to talk about, but unfortunately not into the midwest or the south. Because near this frontal system, we are looking at storms and heavy rain, and this is a last ing lasting event right into the early weekend. Right now, chicago, and we have showers moving through, and also houston, texas with the rain fairly quickly, and we watched the rain move through today, and the thunderstorms and the showers moving from texas on into mississippi, alabama, and georgia and the wet weather is moving down the i95 corridor, and we have seen flash flood watches from texas into the panhandle, and now right along into georgia florida coastline, and rain going from 3 to 5 inches of rain, and some may locally pick up eight inches of rain all over, and again continuing right into the weekend. We will get into the forecast into the next 30 seconds. Yea, but do i pick a, b, or c. For me its all of the above. I pick, like the best of everything. Verizon. I didnt. I picked a. Maybe c. And howd that work out for you . Not so well. Can i get a doover . Why settle for less when you can have, well, everything. And get 2 lines for 100. Verizon. Lot of people are already here this morning. It is a chilly start to the day. A much cooler day today than what we had yesterday. Right now were in the 50s for most of us. By this afternoon, were talking about the mid to upper 60s to low 70s. Then getting into the rest of the week kind of a roller coaster ride. Were going to start out with low temperatures and then hit the mid 80s by the end of the week. And thats the latest weather weather. And the google great went in to ask can how much a manhole cover weigh ss, and it is between 90 to 100 pounds. And i weigh about 150 pound, so imagine me shooting up. And now, a group of brazen thieves behind a diamond district. The suspects are still on the loose after the jewels are missing. Keer keir simmons is in london with the story. Reporter one estimate puts this missing at over 100 million, and if that is true, then is security really that of the movie oceans 11. They stole millions of dollars of diamonds on good friday. And then you take the house. Reporter like in the movie, the locals say that there were strange Power Outages in the district, and then the london safe deposit facility turned out to be, well, not so safe. It is chaotic out down there. Reporter the men went down an elevator shaft and drilled through the walls, and here they are seen carrying a torch, and garbage bins oothers with were carrying, and then did another hide insooidide of the building to let the gang in. If it was a inside job, in a modern facility a huge amount of collaboration. Reporter it is even the same gang that raid eded the french riviera, the pink panthers. They have tollen over 500 million of jewels, and while the burglary is still a mystery, they have names, mr. Redhead, mr. Tall. And another one is named mr. Tall, because he was wearing tall shoes, and the names are until they catch them. We hope they catch them quickly, but there is something intriguing here. Yes. Thank you, kier. Golf has a new phenom this morning. Jordan spieth has led all four day, and the first time in 39 years that has happened. Willie is here with more of the spieth break ging record. Yes, he was fun to watch. And with that big lead, there was not much drama at augusta national, but there was plenty of excitement. Spieth in control all week on one of the biggest stages in sports. One of the epic performances. Reporter meet one of the new faces of golf, Jordan Spieth. What a beautiful start. Reporter the dallas native took the lead and he never looked back. I saw my family and friends there behind the green, and i knew it was going to be a done deal, and to be honest, it didnt kick in there or still has not kicked in, and im still a little bit of in shock. Reporter spieths girlfriend and parents who were also High School Sweethearts were there to make history, and sinking 29 bir birdies to make masters history, and the only player to go 29 under par, the only player to do that there. But it is spieths cool down to earth nature that was noticed and the Charitable Trust to focus on special needs in honor of his sister e elliellie who was born with a neurological disorder that places her on the autism spectrum. He is the second youngests champion ever behind tiger woods. Tying tiger was grimaceing on the 9th hole. I pop edped a joint out of place, but i popped it back in. Reporter that left a new phenom to take the green jacket. This is his second tour victory and pushing him to second behind rory mcill roir. And some of the people coming into the club said if you told me that i shot a 14 under, i am putting on the green jacket. But this kid was that good. And in the last two tournaments he was second. He is on a roll. And the last champion to finish was 29 years old. And so we are really into him. And going into the orange room, and what are people talking about him . Well, he gained 56,000 followers on twitter sunday alone and i started to follow him on saturday, and im sure that he was thrilled about that. We had a lot of support for him, and the university of texas was lighting up in orange, and he was a university of texas before he left for pro, and that worked out all right. And Matthew Mcconaughey said, excellence, just keep making them. And bub bo watson said, congratulations. I am happy to pass on the green jacket to you, and congratulations. And he tweet eded this to the throwback thursday, and this is a little spieth right here, and who would have guessed that he would have gone on to win the mas Masters Tournament at 21 years old. Wow. And that was awesome, and guess who is going to be on the program tomorrow . Who . Jordan spieth. Way to go. It is going to be big. Could have knocked me over with a faeteather there. Peter, good morning. Reporter good morning to you. Hillary clinton of course may be the one grabbing headlines. The former president bill clinton, the socalled secretary of explaining stuff. Hillary clinton is running for president , but she wont be doing it alone. Plenty of attention may be on who may become first daughter for the second time around. I want to be that champion. Reporter soon after clintons announcement daughter chelsea was quick to tweet, very proud of you, mom. Its the first of many gestures from the younger clinton. In the new issue of elle magazine chelsea discusses the importance of a first female president. Saying, when equal hasnt yet included gender, theres a fundamental challenge there that i believe having our first woman president whenever that is will help resolve. There are more women that are more protected reporter that fight for full equality is one of chelseas focuses. In her work as the vice chair of the clinton foundation. Progress has been uneven. Reporter its initiative. And its a message she is expected to make, campaigning for her in the coming months. As a 20 something she was frequently by her mothers side in the 2008 cycle. Would i ever date a mccain supporter . Well, im proud that my boyfriend is supporting my mom. But now as a mother, she stepped out of her parents shadow and could soften the image of the former secretary of state who is also a grandmother. Maybe the best thing that chelsea has given to her mother is a grandchild. It allows Hillary Clinton to be seen as a more normal american, in touch with every day people. You can bet youll hear the name charlotte on the campaign trail quite a bit out of her mouth. Reporter as for chelseas other parent, former president bill clinton, he says hell take the role of backstage adviser. At least for now hes expected to stay out of the spotlight. As for chelsea herself, politico describes it theres little doubt the invisible hand of chelsea shapes almost every significant decision her parents make. Even if you dont see as much of her in 2008 of course shes a mom now, so the photoops may be fewer, do not underestimate the role she will play heading into 2016. Matt . Peter alexander, thanks. He was my boss. I looked at him like this older guy only four years older. Picking the songs had to be difficult. Because every time you hear a song, you say that ones got to be in that ones got to be in. Howd you narrow down . Some are no brainers. The key is youre doing a show where in a musical, the music is what advances the story. And the way that alex our writer who won Golden Globes and oscars he did a phenomenal job. We are back at 8 45 kicking off a special weeklong series in the kitchen. Dishes full of flavor and easy to put together. Katie lee is cohost of the kitchen. Good to see you. Good morning. Before we get to your recipe youre going to talk skillet. Everyone has one or two of these. Hi how are you . Not everyone. Hoda is sitting here. Most people have one or two of these. Are they created equal . No. Everyone should have an iron skillet though. Theyre really inexpensive and they can last longer than a life time if you take care of it properly. All shapes and sizes. Everybody talks about you need to season the skillet. How do you do that . Most skillets are sold preseasoned but its good to still continue to season it. So what you do, because cast iron is really porous you need to seal it with some fat. Pour oil in. And then wipe it and put it into the oven for about an hour. Then when it comes time to clean it thats important because you dont want to use soap. This is kind of an untraditional cleaning meth. Because that reverses everything youve done. Yes. What you want to do is give it a quick wipe as soon as youre done using it while its still warm. If somethings stuck, take some salt and put it on there and use a soft sponge and scrub it off. Then give it a quick rinse. Moisture is the enemy here. You want to be sure its bone dry when you put it away. Give it another rub of oil, put it back in the oven for a couple of minutes and that will continue to season it and it will eventually become nonstick which a great. You are making something that screams summer. This is a blueberry peach skillet cobbler. Exactly. I feel like after this endless winter i am praying for an endless summer. This takes me there. Using an iron skillet, if you want to dump in the peaches. All of them . Theyre not in season. Do you use frozen . You can use frozen peaches. Just thaw them. You can use any fruit you like. Mix in some lemon juice there for me. Got it. And im going to make the batter. Ive got some flour here and some sugar. This is super simple. You probably have all the ingredients in your pantry. Baking powder and a little bit of salt. You just mix that up. And then you want to add the milk. Sure. Youve got an egg there . No this is melted butter. Put that in there. And this gets mixed up. And youll see its like a thicker batter. And just mix, mix mix. You want to get it kind of smooth but not overmixed. Just a little bit clumpy. Then you dollop it right on top just like that. Why do you have water boiling over there . The water boiling, this is a trick my grandma taught me. So you take sugar and corn starch and you just mix that up and this goes on top of the batter and then you pour boiling water over it. Why is that . The boiling water hits this corn starch and it starts to cook in the oven with the corn starch and makes a thick syrup. Bring that over here. I put about half a cup. And this is going to see how it goes into the corn starch. This is going to be our syrup. One of the good things about skillets it goes right into the oven. Its oven to table presentation. The skillet stays hot. You cook it for how long . About 55 minutes to an hour. See how its got that nice crunch to it . Hodas got some over there. Give it a try. I will. You want some ice cream . Sure. Just a little. This kind of doubles as breakfast. Katie. Delicious. Seems like she doubted you at first. I did not. Youre a tough judge. Tell me what you think. It is delicious. It is fan its a pick. Katie lee, thank you. We have posted the recipe on today. Com. More skillet recipes for you tomorrow. Up next a Live Performance from train. And if its a cold day, the hot cream of tomato soup. I like the craft. You take it out of the wrapper. Im so old i remember before it was actually wrapped individually. Youd have to peel it off. Really . Oh yeah. It claim in a block. It was sliced, but boom. You peel that off. Sometimes you cheat and take two at once. You have to eat one before you put any on the bread. Were going to observe hard core in a few minutes. Were going to make our own. Youre getting a Grilled Cheese. Of course i am. Hello, meet tamron hall the eater. Im the shows eater. Im willie. Natalie has the morning off. That was our lead story. Our second story is Hillary Clinton has now officially entered the president ial race. She put out a video yesterday just over two minutes long talking about how she was going to be a champion for the working people of this country. It remains to be seen what the specifics are in her campaign, but shes on a road trip now heading from her home in new york to iowa where shell arrive later this evening. So shes starting off road tripping it like clarke griswold. Does the president drive . You know on a road trip. She hasnt driven a car in 20 years. I wonder if shes doing the driving. No. Theyre calling it the Scooby Doo Van of something. And i would have won the presidency if it hadnt been for you kids. Those meddling kids. First Lady Michelle obama says she doesnt drive and the secret service is teaching malia how to drive because the parents cant get behind the wheel. Theyre like thank goodness. That parallel parking. Yes. Kind of cuts down on the road rage when theres a guy in mirrored sunglasses there. Most people knew she was going to run but she made it official yesterday. Snl has had some time now to build up its new Hillary Clinton and they did get the treatment on saturday night. Hillary would make a great president. And i could make an even greater first dude. Thank you bill. Thats nice. Hillary isnt it crazy that phones can take video now. If they could have done that in the 90s, id be in jail. Hillary clinton in charge. It will be a brand new white house. Oh who am i kidding. Buckle up, america, because the clintons are back. Darrell hammond coming back reprising his role. Hes been away too long. He has. And of course thats kate mckin nonwho will be Hillary Clinton for months. Its like the opening for a reality show. Were back. Bobby moynahan as charlotte. What . As the granddaughter. Wouldnt that be great . Lovely. But it was so much fun seeing him in a little outfit. A baby costume and a diaper. I didnt see that coming. I didnt see that coming at all, mr. Roker. Al is referencing Chelsea Clintons 6monthold daughter. Most googled question about hillary, this came out overnight. What people are looking for now. What do you think it is . How old she is. That was it. Thats the most googled question. Shes 67. Heres the deal though. If you google most celebrity, thats the first thing that comes up in addition to who are they dating and usually questions are they straight or gay. People seek that information. If you google most celebrities, liam neeson, it will come up usually the first thing. When you Google Search something it shows you they googled specifically how old is she. I know. But doesnt that happen when you go to google right now and google someones name, they put in the first thing people are asking about them. I have no idea. Im on vacation. Heres a question for you. Heres a president ial trivia question for you. Which four president s are not buried in the United States . You dont want to talk about the current situation. Go ahead. You know obviously. Both bushes, clinton, and because theyre still alive. They wouldnt be buried. And carter. See theyre still alive. We were trying to have a substantive conversation. Well, im sorry. Ill just come back then. My theory on why her age was we were having a conversation. You see what im saying now . But you needed that clarity. Thank you for that. Im going with al on this. Can you move to the next story . Sure. We missed you. We did. This story has caught our attention for a number of reasons. Its an investigation that still ongoing. Nonetheless, incredible. 49 years ago this woman Zella Jackson price was told at a st. Louis hospital that her premature daughter had died. Thats what she was told. However, Melanie Diane gilmore she learned actually was separated from her mother. She did not die. She was separated for reasons that are still unclear at this point. But on thursday, melanie had a chance to meet the brother she never knew she had and then she met her mom. Oh, my god oh my god [ screaming ] so she spent her entire life thinking that her parents had given her away. Her mother spent her life that her daughter had died. Melanie lived in oregon. Her mom lied in st. Louis. The family now plans to hire an investigator to get on this case. Attorneys investigating this. The hospital actually closed in 1979. So its unclear what happened there. But apparently nel knees children started to go on facebook to search for their background. The who am i question that is asked many times. Particularly when kids are adopted. And they stumbled across this information. What an amazing story. I suppose there might be another example if it happened at the same hoespital. Someone contacted and said that a similar thing was told to their family. You wonder what would compel someone to tell a mother her child died. And the wasnt adopted until she was 16. Keeping it in mind. Thanks. We hope you join us at 11 00 for our next neesk. Its fun day monday and were getting ready to ask the lawyer about disputes with friends, family members and neighbors. Some of you asked for advice and here to help you out is the attorney and judge on lauren lakes Paternity Court lauren lake. Who the daddy . Yes. Thats what we determine. All right. Here we go. Question number one, the yard next door has a large tree that was uprooted during the storm and its dangerously leaning toward my fencing, dog pen and garage. I told the neighbor i would pay half of it to take it down. He said he knew somebody who would do it for 600 but then did nothing about it. What action can i take to force him to take the tree down before it falls and destroys my property . Or kills his dog. Yeah. Before it gets legal and crazy talk to the neighbor. He has. They dropped the ball, but go back it to him. Go back and say listen, you said you would take this tree down. We can split it half 600 bucks, do you have a guy . If you dont have a guy i might have one. I have a guy. I will pay to have it taken down, reimburse me. Do a small contract. Get it over with, work it out. Worse Case Scenario in many states like new york if your tree is decayed damage, uprooted and you have notice as a homeowner and it crushes someone, you can be held liable just because youve got to take care of it. I would say, look, its going to be your neighbor, you got to be outside mowing the lawn and if they cant stand you try to work it out before it gets what if your neighbor just had branches growing over your property those get annoying. Can you trim them if theyre on your side of the property. If theyre on your side you are okay if you just trim them slightly so they dont affect your property. Do not damage the whole tree. Child, dont go chopping off the whole you know because if, in fact, ist damages the damages the tree you are responsible because it is their tree on their property. I believe what she says. She scares me. I like her. I would do everything she says. Me too. Question two i have custody of my 5yearold daughter and my husband my daughter has known as her dad wants to adopt her. Of his own free will his buy logical father has not been involved in her life going on five years. What can i do so my husband can adopt her. This is common this happens. A new stepfather that wants to adopt. Its not that easy, its a process. They have to consent do a consent agreement that we agree. This biological father will have to voluntarily relying distinguish his pa airportal rights but not so fast buddy, that doesnt mean because you know what, i want to give up my rights im good to go. The courts dont go after that. The courts have to determine theyre a good cause. Now a step parent that wants to adopt thats involved in the childs life. That has some play. Usually considered. But its find the husband the father. Youre going to have to put up notice in the paper, youre going to have to wait. Because people dont understand pa nernenity is a legal right. If you cant find the father and the court will have to take it from there. Being a great father to her could be enough. Absolutely. Thats a hard thing to come by. Something people should not relying be wish lightly. Its about the child. It aint about you. Its about the child. My neighbor smokes cigarettes and the smell filters over to stink up my side of the duplex. Sometimes around 2 00 or 3 00 a. M. They drag stuff across the floor that sounds like theyre moving furniture. I reported this to the landlord and he spoke with them and i also called the police twice about the noise. My next step is to move. Any suggestions . Weve all had a noisy neighbor, weve maybe been the noise owe neighbor in our lifetime. Tobacco smoke. Some states, its considered legally a toxin. So what needs to happen here there needs to be a certified letter written, legal real communication with the landlord about the fact that this is truly affecting me. And if it can be determined that its affecting the quiet enjoyment of their property. The meaning of life. Im paying rent every month to live and i am inhaling something that has been determined hazardous to my health. Letter from the doctor. Absolutely. Or what if a child has asthma. Yeah. You have a child that has aspla. Various factors. You have to put people on notice and handle it the right way. The landlord could be held liable if he doesnt do something about it. Make him the middle man. Or sue your neighbor in some states directly for private nuisance. And say youre interfering with my life, my property. But its expensive and takes time and by that time you are better off moving. Its sad. Yeah. All right. Youre excellent. You really are. Terrifying me. All right. Thank you so much. Thank you. A guy that always goes the extra yard. Host of outback nation jamie durie shows you the right way to make an entrance called curb appeal. It is called little boy a story about hope and faith and a determined 7yearold who believes has the power to move mountains and bring his father home from world world ii. Take a look. How are you going to bring dad back you idiot . Like, like look for move a mountain. Fine. You want to move a mountain theres one go ahead, move it, move it theyre not oh. Were not going to give away what happens there. Oh i love this movie. Makes my sob thinking about it. Eduardo verastegui is the executive producer but plays father with a very weird hair cut. Michael rapaport plays the dad, david henry the old sonar and Jacob Salvati is the little boy. Jacob. Look at jacob. Welcome, welcome. Thank you. Honestly, eduardo sent it to me seven times and wouldnt play. Finally says one day kathie, im coming to your house im going to play the movie for you. I was late. No. It was wonderful. I asked him so many questions about you, jacob. And you told me the story, eduardo tell everybody about how he wasnt even supposed to audition that day. Actually that was the hardest thing ever because he carried the entire movie. Yeah. If we cast the wrong kid the entire movie will collapse. Yeah. More than thousand kids from texas, new york, california. Yeah. And one day we saw jacob waiting to audition. His brother was there right . His brother. You can tell the story. Well my brother was actually called for the audition and i just was tagging along, you know, and the director comes out to take a break and hes like, i want to see that kid. Next thing you know, after nine auditions i booked the film. Oh, my gosh. Stop it. Classic hollywood story. Can i share the story about, you know, when we gave him finally after nine auditions the role, he was crying, the director, youre a little boy, thank you, the older brother there to audition starts crying. Im thinking hes crying because hes jealous or something, didnt get the job. No he said im very grateful because were very poor and we find out in real life they were losing their home. The older brother was thankful because jacob was saving their home in real life. We were so moved and touched and we hired both of them. Entire family was hired. But this movie is a lot of different messages. Tell us. We heard some of the premise, trying to bring the dad back. Well you know thats this big guy right here. Tale for adults through the eyes of a kid. World war ii Michael Rapaport the father, brother. Why dont you tell us what happened in that movie. I mean, the film is about the breach of the family, the father has to go off and serve war and the two sons have driven reactions. The older son has a realistic view on whats going to happen and whats going on and he told and faced and believes and pushes everybody through the whole thing. Honestly its one of the most special movies ive been a part of. Really . Its spielbergian. Its for everybody. You know, we this guy worked so hard to get the movie out and done. You know, were just proud, proud to be a part of it. I think its really special. Yeah. There was a magical feel the whole time. I remember the first audition with him actually, see how he has a big smile on face. Walked in for a chemistry scene, had to work up tears, he recognized me from the tv show. Half the battle was over because the chemistry was there. We go into the scene, starts crying, bawling, the director yells cut and in an instant tears to smile and you looked at me and go, youre a good actor. I was like natural. Never had a lesson nothing . I learned so much from him. When youre on set and see a kid playing make believe its so easy to get so serious. All these oscar nominated actors working with his guy, i love forever. We tell really quick the first day of shooting he starts crying. He said, mom im just a kid and i want to have fun. I dont want to do this movie any more. I want to go home. Every time, well give you a toy. Whatever you want tell your mother and well give it to you. 20 toys later he became like marlon brando.
