The democratic nominee is following the visit to michigan. On friday just four days before the general election, clinton will visit the state, which last voted for a republican 28 years ago. The Clinton Campaign also announced sixfigure ad buys in michigan, colorado, new mexico, wisconsin, and virginia. Until recently, all were considered safely in her column, while also continuing her play into arizona. One of the top super pacs behind clinton is ramping up ad spending in four states, returning to colorado and for the first time wisconsin. This as the Trump Campaign puts its faith in the ability to flip traditionally blue states. Yesterday they laid out their target states for an Electoral College victory, including North Carolina, which has trended towards clinton, and picking up iowa, florida, ohio, which would give him 259 of the 270 needed to win. The rest rely on flipping states like michigan, wisconsin, pennsylvania, new hampshire, colorado, new mexico, nevada, or maines second district. Trumps Campaign Announced a 25 million ad blitz. Just last week democratic Vice President ial nominee tim kaine was saying winning florida would be check mate, but last night he was in a state that last went republican in 1984. Well, with one week to go, early and absentee voting is significantly higher this year than at this time in the 2012 election. According to data provided by target smart, the number has nearly doubled to 26. 2 million from 13. 5 million in 2012. Now, this as democrats are worried about a drop in early voting among africanamericans. In North Carolina, where republicanrun election boards curtailed early voting sites, black turnout is down 16 , while white turnout is up 15 . And in florida, the share of the africanamerican electorate that has gone to the polls in person so far has decreased from 15 to 15 from 25 four years ago. This happens as donald trump is urging those who voted early to switch their votes from Hillary Clinton. This is a message for any democratic voter, who have already cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton, and who are having a bad case of buyers remorse. In other words, you want a change, you vote. Wisconsin is one of several states where you can change your early ballot if you think youve made a mistake. A lot of stuff has come out after you vote. Hillary clinton criticized donald trump for his comments against women and used machado to illustrate the case. He sure has spent a lot of time demeaning, degrading, and assaulting women. He calls women ugly, disgusting, nasty all the time. He calls women pigs. Rates bodies on a scale from one to ten. I mean, really, can we just stop for a minute and reflect on the absurdity of donald trump finding fault with Miss Universe . Youve got to ask, why does he do these things . Who acts like this . And ill tell you who, a bully. Thats who. I guess the bottom line is, he thinks belittling women makes him a bigger man, and i dont think theres a woman anywhere who doesnt know what that feels like. If you are out there every day working hard, punching a clock, the notion that this guy is your champion, when his entire life he did not have time for anybody who wasnt rich or a celebrity. This may feed into hostility or paranoia to america and its products, so part economic message, part shot across the brow, part protectionism, but all, i think, very consistent with the kind of escalation were seeing from putin. Now, the Colonial Company says the line that carries jet and diesel fuel has reopened, but the gasoline line will remain closed until at least saturday. That is where two Police Officers are dead in what officials are calling an ambush style attack. Officers from the Des Moines Police department responded to reports of shots fired 1 00 a. M. Local time and there they found an officer from the urbandale Police Department who had been shot. About 20 minutes later a second officer, this from the Des Moines Police department, was also shot. Both officers have died from their injuries. Officials are planning to update the situation at the top of the hour. Meantime, pope francis is officially ruling out the possibility of women becoming priests, citing a letter from st. John paul ii as, quote, the last word on the matter. Both comments come as something as a surprise since this week he looked to build relations with the lutheran church. After trump took a narrow lead in the Washington Post Abc News National tracking poll, 46 to 45 for Hillary Clinton, the Reuters Ipsos poll gives clinton a sixpoint lead. This was a poll taken mostly after new developments in the clinton email investigation. Clinton in this poll has 43 , trump 37 , gary johnson at 6 . In North Carolina, Elon University poll taken before fbi director comeys letter shows the race effectively tied, clinton 42 , trump 41 , three points for gary johnson. Turning to missouri, trump has seen a ninepoint swing in his direction since midoctober. Hes now leading by 14 points, 52 to clintons 38 . So did george p. Bush, the son of jeb bush, but according to the dallas morning news, bush says hes the only member of his family who will be voting straight ticket republican and says his grandfather and uncle george could potentially cast ballots for Hillary Clinton. He later back tracked with the Associated Press saying, well, he was just speculating, but in spite of the apparent tightening in polls, some conservatives are having trouble doing just that. Robert costa talked to republicans in wisconsin and one man told him, its a moral choice, i cant get there. I cant get to trump. Im a husband and father and i cant convince myself to vote for a person who is weakening the fiber of the country. A 28yearold stockbroker told him, youre in a town thats about going to college and raising a family. People are polished and hard working. Hes not one of us. Adding, i did try. Hillary clinton looked to seize on a new report saying donald trump gained the system avoiding paying personal income taxes. In florida last night, clinton cast trump as not only cheating the irs, but the american people, as well. Now we know that donald trump meant when he says he was smart for not paying his fair share, he meant that he used what the New York Times called, and i quote, a legally dubious scheme to avoid paying taxes. Even his own high priced lawyers warned him it likely wouldnt fly with the irs, and he took everything, he took everything our great country has to offer, he scoped it up with both hands and paid nothing to support us. Thats not the only line of attack Hillary Clintons using in the final week of the 2016 campaign. Hillary clinton is zeroing in on winning over women. In battleground state florida yesterday she commented on the leaked 2005 access Hollywood Tape and the accusations of Sexual Misconduct made against donald trump. Weve got to do more to stop treatment about women being somehow objectified and, oh, my gosh, when we heard that tape and we heard what he does to women, im not going to repeat it, but you know what donald trump is bragging about. Grabbing women, mistreating women. And i have to tell you, since that tape came out, 12 women have come forward to say what he said on that tape is what he did to me. Donald trump is categorically denied the Sexual Assault allegations that Hillary Clinton referred to. The Clinton Campaign, meanwhile, released a new ad that highlights some of the comments trump has made about women in the past, using his own words against him. Heres part of it. I dont think donald trump can look at a woman and really see people. I think he sees, you know, sort of a part person and a part object, but he doesnt see people. We have come too far in this country to elect a president who objectifies women, who insults women, who brags about his Sexual Assaults. That is not the president we need in 2016. I know that my wife is not just my equal, but my superior. I want us i want every man out there whos voting to kind of look and ask yourself, if youre having problems with this stuff, how much of it is, you know, were not used to it . When a guys ambitious and on the public arena and working hard, thats okay. When a woman suddenly does it, why is she doing that . She has conducted herself so much better in public life than the other guy. That this notion that somehow, oh, you know, its hard to choose, it shouldnt be. Well, back to the emails, Hillary Clintons Campaign Chairman allegedly wanted to take swift action following the revelations about Hillary Clintons use of a private email server. Thats according to the latest batch of emails purportedly hacked from the personal account of john podesta. Those emails have not been independently authenticated by nbc news or verified by the Clinton Campaign, but the release includes an alleged exchange between podesta and cheryl mills in early march of last year. Just hours after the New York Times report on clintons server broke. In it podesta purportedly told mills, we are going to have to dump all those emails, so better to do so sooner than later. The ambiguity in the suggestion and the word dump the emails has fuelled speculation about whether he was talking about releasing or deleting them. What does dump mean here . Other hacked emails released by wikileaks, as well as released messages from clinton and her inner circle around the time frame of that Podesta Cheryl mills exchange suggest clinton members of her team wanted to release the documents to the public, but thats going to be subject to scrutiny. U. S. Attorney general Loretta Lynch is expressing confidence in james comey after his letter to congress that sent quite the shock wave across the 2016 race. On monday lynch spoke privately to comey, where they agreed to move quickly on the search of new evidence. Meanwhile, a source tells politico the email trove on a laptop used by huma abedin may have been missed because the fbi never asked the top aide to turn over all of their devices. The decision left the fbi at least partially dependent. This as the New York Times reports that the Justice Department urged the fbi not to actively pursue cases related to Hillary Clintons ties with foreign donors to her Family Foundation this past summer, as well as the foreign dealings with Donald Trumps thencampaign manager paul manafort, fearing the investigations would impact the election. 129 pages of documents from a 2001 investigation into bill clintons controversial pardon of mark rich. The Clinton Campaign questioned the timing of the announcement, which comes after days related to the clinton email investigation. The fbi said the files were part of a routine release of information that had been requested multiple times. Rich, who died in 2013, was a former Hedge Fund Manager who fled to switzerland after being indicted on multiple federal charges in 1983. President clintons motive for pardoning rich was questioned because richs exwife was a wealthy democratic donor who contributed to both the Clinton Library and Hillary Clintons thensenate campaign. The documents are heavily redacted and dont appear to shed new light on the case. Lets turn to business headlines, where reports are surfacing russia is in the process of ridding its government offices of microsoft software. This comes as microsoft accuses Russian Hackers of exploiting a recently discovered Windows Security flaw. Cnbcs jeff cutmore joins us from london. Now, microsoft says they are going to release a patch november 8th, which should prevent any problems with this attempted hacking, but they, like many others, are blaming a Hacking Group which is somehow associated with the russian government for carrying these out. I dont know if you can tell, but its a rainy day in erbil, about an hours drive east of mosul, where this battle, as i mentioned, is in full swing. The Iraqi Security forces just got into the city itself yesterday, that means they are going to be facing pretty muscular defense from islamic state. Were having to look forward to a couple of weeks of what could be blistering, block by block urban warfare. As we know, this is difficult form of warfare and isis is going to be putting up all the usual tricks they normally engage with. Thats suicide bombers, vehicle explosive devices, extensive tunnel networks, all the usual tricks theyve done down in anbar province, when the Security Forces moved into fallujah and ramadi. Those battles were long and protracted, but now isis has another weapon, the civilians thought to be living in mosul. They are probably going to be using them as human shields and daring the u. S.
