They are the best they are the best cast on broadway. They are unbelievable. And i love them to pieces. Every you know, theres a sadness that comes with this but a good art tell in the post today, Michael Reidel writes the definitive theater article. He was saying so many of the brandnew shows this fall really really have struggled and already posting closings. Hurricane sandy was just devastating to everybody in the tristate area but broadway was badly hit. All the shows like jersey boys, that sort of thing, mamma mia they will be fine, advanced sales. Nobody really recovered, the new shows, chaplin, i think the anarchist closing. Performers all closing. Never really know if somethings over, we should point out. Somebody sent me a note today that said just when you think somethings over its actually beginning. It was i guess louis la more once said that i want to encourage everybody to go, if you are in town, in new york, go see some of these shows that are they are here for a short time, means the world for our performers to have people in the audience. As soon as the queens children and grandchildren are titled, they take the title their title as their surname. Here is the question. Now, theres a good chance that the baby or babies that kate, you know, is having may be twins because a lot of women who have this condition. Very, very serious morning sickness. Have twins. The good news. The question if there are twins and there is a csection who will be the first born . cause thats the whole the money right there. The first born and the heir and the spare, they say. Believe that kind of in the inner recesses of his brain, harrys kind of glad he doesnt have to be the king . He gets all the fun. The best life. All the perks, doesnt have the same responsibility. You dont choose which baby you are going to take out first, dont move one child aside and go grab the other one. Its whichever one is presenting itself first, you take that baby out. Battling for room in the womb all that time and, you know, cesarean section is because you take the incision is section by section. I think its seven layers of something youve got to get to before you get to the baby. I could be wrong. I have had two, but who can remember. We dont know if its twins, were just saying that because its interesting. Dont know anything. At least we are honest. Thats good. Okay, there is a really disturbing photo that a lot of people have been talking about since yesterday. Not going to show it . We can show it. A picture in the New York Post. The reason we are showing it because this is the photo itself what sparked most of the controversy, on the cover of the post, a guy here about to get hit by a subway train and the title is entitled doomed. The man who took the photograph is a freelance photographer for the New York Post who happened to have been in the subway as he was going to cover the story on the homeless man without the shoes. Yes. And he said that out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone go flying onto the tracks, he took his camera, which he had the strap wrapped around his wrist, he started snapping, he said, and the question matt asked him when he was on the show, why didnt you go in and do something, didnt you think could you have gone and helped, he looked so close when you look at that picture . He said, number one there were other people closer. Number two he said it was 20 seconds dont see anybody else from this picture. From the side. He said there were people standing, cause the platform is wider. So there are two controversies, why, number one, saw that the man was about to die didnt he throw his camera down and try to help the man up. First of all, he was trained to be a photographer. Not making excuses for him. We dont know the truth about this man, basically. He is saying he was just trying to also use his flash to let the conductor of the subway train know that there was something going on. I dont know. The other one is should the New York Post have even used it on their cover . If you have a photo, does it mean you should cover your newspaper . Thats question. I mean, a lot of these guys who cover, not talking about this particular photographer, but if youre covering hurricanes and wars and stuff like that im sure a lot of photographs do battle with that because they are shooting tragedy and not putting their camera down hand rescuing everybody. Chronicling it. It is a hard thing i think a lot of these photographers do. This guy, he said he felt terrible for the family and stuff and they asked him about is he selling the photograph and he said he licensed the pictures. He gave he gave the memory card to the New York Post before even looking at it said he was distraught, looked at it, they had to lighten this picture, cause it was dark. So im guessing we are asking yall what you think. I saw it, yesterdays paper, i went, oh. I dont want certain images in my mind. I just dont. Our prayer goes out to this mans family. We took our kids in the pool, ocean, everywhere, when they were tiny, tiny, tiny, cause we live on water and wanted them to and then we took them for ymca actual swimming lessons when they were, i think, six months to a year, i forget, but it was early, early on. Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. Most of all, i love the music. Silent night after my daughter, vivian, was born, i often sang silent night to her when she needed soothing. Little did i know that my favorite carol was a foreshadowing of my life with vivian. This lovely little girl is my reason for breathing. And like all parents, i had hopes and dreams of what her life would be like. Unfortunately, some parents also have a day that shatters those hopes. The first of those days was when i learned that my sweet girl was missing the nerve bundle that connects the two halves of her brain. At the age of 2, vivian was diagnosed with autism. It was the third diagnosis that was the most devastating to me. Now, we are also dealing with a hearing impairment. I had to come to terms with the reality that nothing i had said to her, read to her or sang to her had been heard. Reality hit me when i understood that every night for my little girl was a silent night. While my daughters birth has changed me, it is her life that has changed me even more. I have learned patience, compassion and understanding. Every day, i deal with the loss of the perfect child i had expected at birth and that she cant truly hear or understand my beloved carols or other songs i sing to her. Every day i deal with the fact i may never hear my daughter say i love you, mommy. My Christmas Wish is that one day, vivian will hear and comprehend when i whisper i love you. Cristal is here with her her daughter vivian and her mother linda weeks. So nice to have all of you here. So hard for you. Very hard. How is she doing, medically, your little girl . She is doing very well. We still have some endocrine issues we deal with. She sees a couple of specialists about every six months just to do checkups, but doing beautifully. And linda, how devastating for your daughter, but youre her grandma, too. Yes. You have been through she says youve been her rock. Her shes been with us since viv was born, pretty much. Its hard to watch her go through all the struggles, all of the challenges, but im so proud of the way that she has handled everything. She gives viv all kinds of opportunities she would give any child. And youre a single mom. Its not easy for any single mom, but how do you endure . How do you make it through the days . How do you get fulfillment . I have got the best support system. Got wonderful sisters. Yeah. Misty and jill, very, very supportive. Their kids, my nieces and nephews are wonderful with her. I have never seen anything better. My parents. And how do you communicate with your daughter . I know she cant can she hear anything at all . With her hearing aid, she can hear. We dont know exactly how much she hears. We dont know what she understands, they cant gauge any of that. But you know, so i just still talk to her all the time. Of course. Yes. And just kind of lead her along and, you know, she goes with me. She knew, as we were getting ready for the trip, she knew something was going on. She just didnt know what. And she has been the best little girl. On the trip, she had never been on a plane before, right . Tell us how she did . She did wonderful, sat down and was good as gold. This is your Weather Channel forecast for the next seven days. Starting out with todays forecast, a pretty clear sky for most of the country. Even the west just seeing the rain in the pacific northwest. The story this weekend through early next week will be the change in the pattern. Were going to see a ridge build across the northwest. Were going to see a trough over the central u. S. Which means maybe some snow for us and some cold air. Seeing our boundary now across the northern states, and pretty dry conditions overall. A little bit of rain into florida. But check out these temperatures. Yes, theyre cooler than they have been. But these temperatures still above average for a lot of us. 72 degrees in dallas. Again we are south of that boundary. Friday we get some gulf moisture to come northward. Now were dealing with showers to the northeast. But it is rain. Its not going to be snow. And then across the upper midwest and northern plains. Snowshowers coming in minneapolis. This is the beginning of the change. Check out these temperatures in the 30s for a high. Imagine what those lows are going to be like on friday. Then our storm begins to come out of the rockies. And as it does thats where were going to see some snowshowers anywhere from minneapolis, omaha, all the way back into denver. Some accumulating snow in our forecast on sunday.
