And some are worried that Mass Shootings are routine in our culture, and there were 365 a Mass Shootings last year according to reddit, but as dana milbank found out the maryland tragedy nouz does not even fall into the mass shooting category. He is getting a lot of reaction from his piece on gun violence in america. And so is this creating a numbness to the Mass Shootings . Well, it seems that way. We had the shooting out saturday in columbia and the cable news ran with it for a few hours and then soon, it was back to normal, and people say, well, it was not a terrorist attack, and only two dead other than the shooter, and wen you think about it, it is awful, but it is something that is occurring all of the time, and we no longer even sort of rouse ourselves to say, well, should something be done about it and we sort of move on . What first brought this to your attention and why should stricter gun control laws are so tough to pass . Well, gun control is only one piece of it. As we saw it last year after the newtown tragedy, even something as horrific as that failed to move really anything of substance through the congress, there is a very powerful gun lobby as is wildly known, and people are afraid of defying it, and the polls show general support for gun control, but it is not passionate support, and the women who went out to have weekly protests outside of the white house and they have been doing it for a year and a half, but that side does not have the passion that the gun rights side has. And what need s s to happen before the american gun culture has to chapg. Boy, it sure beats me, because if Something Like the newtown tragedy does not do it, then a relatively small shooting like what happened in columbia is not going to coit either, and a lot of people who would support a gun control in some other efforts along the Mental Health side of things are basically saying, it is just a loser of an issue for them, and they are not going to be able to get it done. It seems to me that this is not only something that is imminent, but it is years if not a generation away. Because as you mentioned, dana, the gun rights passions are strong out there across the country. And dana, we want to thank you for taking time with us. Appreciate it. Sure. My pleasure. Thanks. And both the treasury and the Royal Household need to up their act. Er at the same time the Committee Report says that a number of palaces are in dangerous or deteriorating condition, and 40 of them below acceptable standards. How does the queen put up with it . Well, she has had to, because there is an 82 million backlog of repairs because the government has tightened the funding, but now the government says that they need to do more to help. It is possible for the queen to rent out Buckingham Palace and extend the time for it to be open to the general public is a possibility. And here is some of the areas that pick up higher snowfall totals, and huntingtown between two to three inches, and three to four in leonardtown, and king george and you could see between two to three inches, and the same up in camp springs with one to two expected around annapolis, too. And so slightly snow or moderate snow down to the south, it is going to be over by 5 00 a. M. And the thing is with the temperatures being this low, 8 to 14 degrees could be some slick spots on the area roads, and the chance for slick spots is what leads to early delays by tomorrow morning, and sunshine backed by 3 00 p. M. Tomorrow morning and the afternoon will be less breezy and the northwest wind at 10 to 20 miles per hour. And extended forecast is saturdays high at 47 and 43 for the super bowl sunday with light showers moving through the area, and the upper 30s tuesday of next week, and so say byebye to the teens, and the low 20s, and looks like a little bit of a warming trend through the weekend.
