You say baking is not as hard as people make it out to be, but you dont want to mess up, especially when its valentines day day. You really dont. Are you sure i can do this . Be nice. Maybe. Im here for you. First is cookies. Butter and sugar crucial. Eggs, flour. Red dye. Sprinkles. Vanilla bean paste and were getting started. We have the batter here. What is here . We have the butter and sugar creamed together. It looks nice and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Whats crucial is you want to make sure as you add the eggs, you want them to be fully flour. This is vanilla bean paste. This is my favorite thing in the world. How are the measurements different when youre using paste versus extract. Its onetoone. This has vanilla bean suspended in. Have you ever bought one and theyre dry as heck . Thats the red dye. Do i put that in . Yes. This will make it nice and red and festive. Use as little or as much as you like. Darker dyes tend to make recipes bitter. Just know that. Keep that in mind. How long is this going to take . Were going to add the flour. Always have it on the low setting, otherwise the flour, you are going to be hit with that. Then youre going to make two batches. One red and one plain. Perfect. Any color you want, actually. What were going to do now is you will roll it out into a nice the other. You can also get sugar dough from the refridgerator section. Were going to create a loaf of dough. You are going to slice and dice. Take a nice slice like that all the way down. Then youre going to take this and stamp it out. You have nice stripes. This is great. Isnt that clever . You can take the rest of the dough and you can smoosh you get these less than perfect but fun cookies. You put a little cutout in there. You bake it like that. You baked your cookies. When theyre still warm, to make them perfect, you can take your cutter and make sure that if there are any sides that are too brown or have spread a little, stop it again when its still warm and put them together. You will take royal icing which is like glue for bakers. A nice little thing of royal icing. Then the cutout on top and put sprinkles in. Youve made cookie sandwiches. Or if youre crafty, you dont put royal icing here. You put a lid on top and open it up. Its a little valentine and a ring. You shouldnt have. Is that the real one or the fake one . You gave it to me apparently. It better be the real one. Lets go back here. Lets look at our now youre making truffles. This sounds harder. This is so much easier. This sounds easier. So much easier. Vanil vanilla, chocolate, done. You simmer the chocolate and cream and pour it on top of the chocolate. We have the tasters downstairs. Youre going to mix this together. Whisk it until it is smooth. If you have a lactose problem, you do a oneonone swap with coconut milk. After you whisk it, it looks like this. The busiest time in the er is after work. People suffer through and come in after work. Those are the worst times. Mornings might be better between 6 00 and noon, but truthfully, there are a cycle of fresh phrasfaces in the er all day long 24 7. You cant pick the time for an emergency and its okay to go to the emergency room at any time.
