Computer science graduate G Srikanth has transformed a 25-acre barren land into a thriving forest in a small village near Vellore, India. His inspiration after the tragic death of his elder brother prompted him to plant 8,000 tree saplings on government land that resulted in the creation of a habitat for various species of trees, birds, and animals. The district officials offered their support when they witnessed his efforts, and after a six-month struggle, law enforcers evicted encroachers from the rest of the land.
