The United States, Britain, and Canada have accused Russia of attempting to influence the outcome of Moldova's 2024 presidential election. The three allies claim Russia is using disinformation and propaganda to create societal tensions and undermine the pro-Western incumbent. The U.S. has already imposed sanctions on a pro-Russia regional official in Moldova.
