The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is divided over the local government elections in the state slated for May 15, 2021.
Daily Trust gathered that the authentic executive of the party in a statement by the party’s state Publicity Secretary, Abraham Catch, had challenged the composition of the existing Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) saying only a duly constituted electoral body could issue a date for the election.
But some PDP members under the umbrella of Kaduna PDP Restoration, kicked against the party’s position.
Chairman of the group, Honorable Imam Lawal, said the party’s publicity secretary’s statement was to mislead the public as it came from those who were allegedly not recognized under the “applicable laws” to run the party. ....
