Kannada movie Pinki Elli, directed by Prithvi Konanur has been chosen as one of the Indian
Panorama movies in the
International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The event is scheduled to be held between January 16 and 24, 2021.
It is believed that Pinki Elli has been chosen among the 29 Kannada movies, including Act 1978, Gandhi, and Illiralaare Allige Hogalaare, for screening at the IFFI to be held in Goa. ....

GUWAHATI: When 43-year-old Kripal Kalita was shooting his movie ‘Bridge’, never did he imagine that it will turn out to be the only one from Assam to be selected in the Indian Panorama category for the 51st International Film Festival of India.
These films will be showcased during the 8-day film festival in Goa from January 16.
Set in Assam, Kalita’s movie is a colourful canvas of an unusual struggle of a teenage girl residing along the bank of a tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra. “The Brahmaputra and it’s tributaries are notorious for floods every year which wipe out many villages. Still, people love the river and it’s green valleys. Through this film, an attempt has been made to draw the attention towards the agony of the people losing everything every year and the daily troubles and hindrances faced in the development of the helpless, poor, honest and simple people residing in the interior parts of ....

National award-winning filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda’s first Odia feature film, Kalira Atita, (Yesterday’s Past) has been selected to be screened in the Indian Panorama section of IFFI 2020. The 51st edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa have been postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic. It’ll be held between January 16 and 24 next year.
Panda expressed his happiness and said, “This is my first Odia film and I’m happy that it will start its journey from this prestigious film festival. This is definitely good news for me for this year and I m hopeful that it will bring many more good news for me in the coming years.” ....

Bhubaneswar: Information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar announced International Film Festival of India (IFFI), 2020, today for the film nominations of  its 51st film festival in Goa which was postponed due to Covid-19 and Nila Madhab Panda’s Odia film “Kalira Atita” (Yesterday’s Past ) has been selected in it’s prestigious Panorama section.
Speaking on the selection Nila Madhab Panda said, “Kalira Atita” is my first Odia film and I am really happy that it will start its journey with the prestigious IFFI.
