The nine vehicles reported stolen or broken into on Wednesday were: a vehicle was stolen fromOtipua Rd, another wasbroken into on Otipua Rd and multiple tools taken, another stolen from Mowbray St, another broken into on Otipua Rd and personal effects taken, another was stolen from Preston St, another broken into on Church St and tools stolen, another was broken into on Otipus Rd and a wallet was stolen, a Black and Decker drop saw was also stolen from a trailer on Selwyn St, and a 4WD was reported stolen from Donald St, Temuka, at 3.30pm. A spate of four-wheel drive vehicle thefts in Timaru and across the wider Canterbury area has police asking people to act immediately if they see anything suspicious. Several four-wheel drives vehicles have been reported stolen from Timaru in recent weeks, Senior Sergeant Antony Callon, of Timaru told Stuff on Wednesday. The most recent, a Toyota Prado, was reported stolen from Cook St in Marchwiel overnight on March 15. Callon described it as dark green in colour. ....
