Funds to help students, families

“It’s our hope that we can help ensure the wraparound supports funded by the Thompson Nicola Cariboo United Way continue for our students and families,” said interim SD73 superintendent and business company president Terry Sullivan in a press release.
Katie Neustaeter, interim executive director, for the local United Way chapter said they have been seeing a “desperate need for children to have wraparound services right now.”
“A child experiencing hunger very often needs more than just food, and a child experiencing violence in their home often shows the need for more than one area of support,” she said in the release. ....
