‘264 martyrs can never be forgotten’
KUWAIT CITY, March 6: The Director General of the Martyr’s Office, Salah Al- Oufan, said Kuwait will lay to rest eight martyrs next Sunday whose remains have been identified by the Forensics Department of the Ministry of Interior, which plays an effective role and contributes to determine the fate of Kuwaiti prisoners and missing through the processes of identification of the remains that are found in Iraq and repatriated to Kuwait. Reliable sources told the Al-Seyassah daily so far the remains of 264 martyrs have arrived in Kuwait.
Al-Oufan said in a press statement Kuwait’s leadership, government and people will not forget “the heroism of these prisoners and the missing people who sacrificed themselves for the sake of Kuwait and set a great example in patriotism and redemption and registered their names on the list of ‘honor and heroism’ after courageously sacrificing their lives to protect the dignity of Kuwait and Kuwaitis.
