SRINAGAR: Nearly 18 more officers of the All India Services (AIS) are likely to be posted in Jammu and Kashmir shortly after No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from various departments, some of whom are natives of the Union Territory while the Central Government has decided to create one single department to facilitate posting in J&K amidst reports that some of the officers have applied to their own State/UT Governments where they are posted, others to DoPT or J&K Government, reported

Over a dozen AIS officers including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and other Services have been posted in Jammu and Kashmir during the past few months ever since the Union Ministry of Home Affairs sought applications from the senior officers for posting in the Union Territory in view of the shortage of officers. ....

Aizawl/New Delhi, March 16 : The Rajya Sabha MP from Mizoram, K. Vanlalvena, on Tuesday urged the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to consider the plight of the people protesting against the military rule in Myanmar and relax its policy towards Myanmar refugees crossing over to India.
An official release said that raising the issue at the Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Vanlalvena informed the House that over 300 Myanmar nationals who have crossed the border are currently taking shelter in Mizoram, of which about 150 are police personnel. ....
