CBSE Classes 10th, 12th board exam dates not decided yet: Pokhriyal

Since this academic session has been held in the online mode entirely, there had been a lot of apprehensions in minds of students and teachers. The minister, however, announced that there will not be any online board exams. Citing the plight of students who do not have access to the internet, the minister said the exams will be held offline and efforts are on to ensure every student has access to quality education during the pandemic through different modes.
He also said that the exams will be held on reduced syllabus. The central and state boards have announced a reduction in syllabus earlier. The minister too in an earlier live interaction had announced that in case schools continue to remain shut, there will be an alternative to the practical exams. ....

New Delhi, Dec 22: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday confirmed that there would be no class 10 and 12 board exams will not be held in January-February.

During the webinar, the minister clarified that at the present situation, it was not possible to conduct examinations in the months of January and February 2021.

Cancelling exams and promoting students without exam will put a stamp on these students. These students might face trouble in getting jobs and admissions at higher education level in future as they would be termed as COVID-era students. New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday that his government was committed to ushering in development in the country without any discrimination on the basis of religion.
“I assures that nobody will be left out and not discriminated against on religious lines. Everyone will move forward by enjoying the Fundamental Rights given in the Constitution,” Modi said while addressing through videoconference the centenary celebrations of the Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
