DURBAN: Pakistan women’s national cricket team will face South Africa in a three-match T20I series, which will be played at Durban’s Kingsmead Cricket Stadium from Friday. This will be the national side’s first international T20I format assignment since the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia last year.
Pakistan have played eight T20Is in South Africa to date and faced South Africa in six of them. The tourists have won two all in the last tour in 2019 and lost four.

Pakistan women’s cricket team failed to avoid the whitewash after losing their third consecutive One-Day International against South Africa on Tuesday by 32 runs at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban.
The visiting team was unsuccessful in chasing the target after dismissing the hosts for 201 all out in the final match of the series.
Proteas women were off to a good start with 124 for one before they witnessed an unusual collapse, losing wickets at different intervals. Laura Wolvaardt was the highest scorer with 58 runs while opener Lizelle Lee made a contribution of 49 runs.

CAPE TOWN - The Proteas women may not be producing the most clinical performances at the moment, but they do know how to close out a match. They achieved that again at Kingsmead to defeat Pakistan by 32 runs in the third and final ODI to complete a 3-0 whitewash.
Hilton Moreeng’s team have now won six successive ODI’s after defeating New Zealand 3-0 in their last series prior to the lockdown break.
With the series already settled during last Saturday’s “Black ODI”, the South African management felt this dead-rubber would be a good chance to have a closer look at the depth in their squad.
