Nearly 500 doses of the two-part Moderna vaccine have been distributed in Christian County among healthcare workers.
During the Christian County Health Department news conference Wednesday morning, spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said they are following the distribution phases set forth by the CDC and state health officials.
She added they are wrapping up phase 1A and soon moving to 1B.
Sweeney noted they expect general public distribution to start rolling out in the summer months of 2021.
Beth McCraw, the chief nursing officer for Jennie Stuart Health, said they have distributed around 250 of their first shipment of the vaccine. She added the vaccine is highly recommended for front line workers but not required. ....
