Congress leaders call for judicial probe
Terming the problems that have cropped up in bed allocation system in Bengaluru City a ‘BJP bed scam’, Karnataka Congress leaders on Saturday demanded a judicial probe into it. They said that the ‘exposé’ by BJP Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya and party MLAs Satish Reddy, Ravi Subramanya and Uday Garudachar was fake.
Senior Congress MLAs Ramalinga Reddy, Krishna Byre Gowda and Dinesh Gundu Rao alleged that loyalists of the BJP MP and legislators had interfered in the functioning of the bed allocation system of the BBMP COVID-19 war room and diverted beds to asymptomatic patients and denied beds to patients having severe symptoms.

Bengaluru, April 23 : Leading auto component maker Bosch turned the sports complex in its sprawling campus here into a Covid care centre, an official said on Friday. We have converted the indoor sports complex at our Adugodi campus in the city into a Covid care centre with 70 beds and other facilities to treat patients who are asymptomatic or having mild symptoms of the virus, a company official told IANS.
The Indian arm of the German auto major entrusted the centre to the city civic body - Bruhat Bengaluru Mahangara Palike (BBMP) for admitting Covid patients and treating them.

BENGALURU: Ugly scenes marked the Bengaluru legislators’ meet in Vidhana Soudha on Monday, with Opposition MLAs charging the government with mismanagement o f the Covid-19 situation. The MLAs said that every day, they get calls from families, with fervent pleas for beds. Shivajinagar MLA Rizwan Arshad claimed that despite being an MLA, he was unable to get a single bed, and asked how the common man was expected to get a bed.
