The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said that the least amount to be paid for participation in the 2021 Umrah (lesser hajj) in Saudi Arabia is N1.37 million.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Rahman Ishola.
According to Rahman, the exercise has two different packages that the intending pilgrims can choose from.
The Board Secretary explained that the increase in fare was due to the strict implementation of the COVID-19 protocols by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health, emphasising that the Umrah exercise will hold between April 27 and 15 May 2021. ....

2021 Hajj: Lagos Pilgrims Board pegs fees at N1.37m
The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has pegged the fare for performing the Y2021 Umrah (lesser Hajj) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at N1.37 million, being the least package fees.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Rahman Ishola, who disclosed this in a statement issued by the Board on Tuesday, added that the exercise has two different packages that the intending pilgrims can choose from.
He said, “The first package at a cost of N1.37 million includes stay at a Three-Star Hotel; Sahur (Morning meal) and Iftar (Evening meal) in Nigerian delicacies; Economy Class ticket with a reputable airline; Executive and convenient local transportation; ....

Lagos commissioner urges intending Hajj pilgrims to take coronavirus vaccines

The Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Olanrewaju Elegushi, has urged the Intending Pilgrims for 2021 Hajj exercise to endeavor to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
About 4million doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII), arrived the country last Tuesday.
Prince Elegushi gave the admonition during a special meeting he had with the league of Ulamahs of the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the Shamsi Adisa Thomas (SAT) Mosque, Old Secretariat, Ikeja, Tuesday.
The Commissioner who doubles as the Asiwaju of Ikate Land, urged the Intending Pilgrims, Ulamahs and other stakeholders in the Hajj operations not to give room for discouragement from any quarters with respect to administration of the vaccine whenever the Federal Government begins to administer it. He added that only holders of the vaccine certificate would be allowed entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 202 ....

Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Olanrewaju Elegushi, has urged intending pilgrims for 2021 Hajj exercise to endeavour to take the COVID-19 vaccine whenever it arrives the country.
