Irish explorer Providence Resources has agreed to extend the deadline for closing a farm-out to Norway s SpotOn Energy at the Barryroe oil and gas field off Ireland s south coast by two months until April 30, it said on March 1.
The farm-out, agreed at the start of December, will see SpotOn take a 50% stake in Barryroe, Ireland s largest oil discovery. In return, the company and a group of international service providers will fund, develop and bring the project to production.

Tlou Energy, up 18% at 3.90 pence, 12-month range 1.22p-4.91p. Energy firm says in funding discussions for Lesedi power project in Botswana. Says advanced project finance discussions are currently with an unnamed very reputable Botswana based entity .
MyHealthChecked, up 17% at 3.82p, 12-month range 0.6p-4.9p. The healthcare company notes increase in its share price and says it has become aware of speculation over the weekend that a significant potential contract is in the pipeline. Says that while it is engaged in commercial discussions with a number of parties for the supply of Covid-19 testing kits, no contracts have been signed to date, nor is there any certainty that any of these discussions will result in commercial agreement.

Irish junior Providence Resources has denied holding merger talks, following a report by Ireland s
Business Post on February 7 claiming that the company had been approached by Norway s SpotOn Energy with an offer.
Providence and its partner Lansdowne Oil & Gas reached an agreement in December on farming out a 50% interest in the Barryroe oil and gas field off Ireland s south coast to SpotOn, in order to fund further project work.
