The vessel, which was 27 miles off the Old Head of Kinsale in Cork, got into difficulty after its hull was breached in bad conditions and it began to take on water.

Volunteer Lifeboat Crews Across Cork Coast Bracing For Busy Bank Holiday Weekend Courtmacsherry RNLI are warning that a calm sea soon can become a cruel sea They re reminding people to wear a lifejacket, have a reliable method of contacting shore and to tell someone what time they should be home at.  The RNLI, Coast Guard and Rescue Helicopter R117 were all called to incidents in Cork last weekend.  22 year old Conor King from Douglas also lost his life when he fell into a blowhole near Garrettstown Beach.
