>> the connection is not whether iraq was connected to december 11th but how do you prevent the next september 11th. it's not a question of whether it should be taken out but when should it be taken out? the first victory in afghanistan makes a second victory in iraq that much easier. a second victory in iraq will make the third victory that much easier, too. if you take out saddam's regime i guarantee you it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region. >> a guarantee. how did that turn out? actual experts of the time predicted correctly that the iraq war would be a catastrophe and would not be an easy victory for the u.s. and crucially, it would be a huge boon for iran, which it was. the shiite majority took the reins of the government and formed close ties with shiite leaders in tehran. iranian militias now operate out of iraq and that tells you

jury case. >> what do you think it will mean for trump world to have him there for the next four weeks? >> he is running for president and we talked about this the other night but the campaign in the short and -- court are sharing custody of him. his weekends are free, maybe on wednesdays and he has been planning rallies. i noticed he has one in wildwood, new jersey on may 11th so they are preparing for the strange logistics of this but i have to imagine is also going to be very tired on days when he does not have court, and how much stamina does he really have? i don't know. >> again just to reset the fact here, the man is 77 years old. he will turn 78. there's been so much talk about joe biden's age but he is a 77- year-old man facing criminal

this is supposed to work that you respect the judge, respect counsel, respect the jury, so if he starts acting up and being really disruptive i think at a minimum, those jurors are going to really not like him. on the other hand, you also have five women on this jury. they're not going to like this case. they're going to have the transcript of that access hollywood tape that you can do whatever you want, they will let you do whatever you want. grab them by the -- you know, they are going to have that. i remember a trial where the defendant had an extramarital affair and there were 11 women on the jury and when the evidence came out you could see the look of disgust on those female jurors and that didn't go well for that defendant and i don't think this is going to go well for donald trump. >> one of the things going into this trial, the question of it as a spectacle and my sense is that it is relatively muted down there in the courthouse. this has not been some completely chaotic, frenzied scene then of course today was the most horrific kind of disruption happening.

interference criminal trial david, you've been saying all along, you don't think the foreign president can get a fair trial in manhattan, is it that you just don't believe those 12 jurors and six alternates when they say that they can't be fair. fair. and, judge, the case in the facts hey, look, anderson, i think it's a tough it's tough situation, right? everybody believes, i think in their heart, they can be fair, but they come they come to this case with their own set of biases. and if you just look at the demographics almost eight and ten people in manhattan voted against donald trump so if you're, if you're one of those folks, i don't know how the jury breaks down, but i'm wondering who they voted for. and if you didn't vote for the former president i think you've probably come to that jury with a real bias against him norm, the former president's allies, they're not having about juror number 11. >> she said in court that she doesn't like the foreign presence persona that he seemed selfish and self-serving. those she did tell the judge she could put all that aside and be fair should the judge number accused her for cause i don't

superpacs as he has an 11 states. now that's not a lot of states, but it's growing at this particular point. and more than that, it's not just the number of states that's where those states are, right? arlette mentioned nevada, north carolina. how about georgia? how about arizona? these are all important key swing states. how about michigan obviously? and in wisconsin and pennsylvania where he does doesn't have the right now the signatures necessarily reach the ballot. the ballot signature threshold is very, very low. it's in the thousands and wisconsin, maine biden only won by like 20,000 votes. that's exactly right. so this is, i think why we're so interested in rfk. i don't think there's anyone who really thinks he can win the presidency. i think what a lot of people are interested in, if, okay, if it gets 5% or 6% of the vote, who does he take away from at this point, it looks like perhaps equally from both.& is there i mean, how much of his board has some fascination with the kennedy name. it's hard to it's hard to measure, but i will say that the vast majority of his comes from younger people, people who were not alive during when robert f. kennedy were alive. in fact, the people who were alive and his support is significantly lower amongst them. it's about half the

whatsoever, then there would be a swift and decisive response from from iran. now, they could use proxies in lebanon, such as hezbollah. and i've been talking to sources and 11 in this evening and they feel that the situation is very tense place in lebanon at the moment in respect of hezbollah potentially hezbollah expecting themselves to be to be targeted however, i think what that means, but the moment in a bigger picture is it really adds to the very, very tense nature of what's, what's happening. and what could happen as an outflow of the early indications of what we believe that we're seeing in iran. but it is, this is going to be a decision that comes down to the iranian government to determine what they need to do when they've assessed what has caused these explosions

>> that means israel stands with the people of iran. i want to make that very clear. our beef is with the irgc and the terrorism that controls that country. the women and people have had a really hard and they have been crying out to the western world for years. i'm seeing the activity on twitter that iranians are solidifying the jews and the israelis. i want to make it clear that israel has no beef with the iranian people. they are good people and i think that they are tired of the irgc. >> i think we are seeing some signs of that. we see a lot of resistance and pushback from the people and even more pushback against their own people. he talks about israel and how it is all for 11 for all. it's an -- incident at the shops are all closed because the people are on the

remember, the only discretion that we got from the judge was used common sense at certain points. so people's versions of common sense are very different when it comes to what you do in terms of the media. so you should expect these right-wing or me social media followers to be pushing this forward to that point. excellent art of the segway. we talked about juror number 11 with the attorneys earlier. she had bedded. that's like trump's persona. teddy seems very selfish, very self-serving knowing trump as well as you do, how hardest him for him to sit there and listen to that from a job? for and he's from florida and aly moved to florida, but from a fellow new yorker. >> well, just remember that donald trump has not been a room with someone who's going to say no to him more insult him for decades now, he purposely surrounds himself by people with people who are even the people who now say that when he was in the administration, that they tried to stop them from doing things many of those are profiles encouraged because during the time they weren't actually trying to stop him. it was later. he surrounds himself with people who say yes to him,

potential next steps going forward not going beyond speculation to say that would have been an opportunity for the israeli investors to provide an update to potentially read in the u.s. government about what potentially their next steps were going to be taking place and so that would have been information that jake sullivan would have wanted to communicate to the president directly as soon as possible. now the white house situation room is a 24 seven operation. there are people in there working right now, gathering information. the president is in the white t house to see if he does have public events on his schedule tomorrow before he is scheduled to travel, as he often does, to delaware, for the weekend. but this is going to be now at the top of the agenda moving forward. >> michael, it is hard to believe you and i were on the phone with one another just a few hours ago talking campaigns, talking the trump trial, talking politics and now here we are 11:42 p.m. and you are back outside the white house covering some
