Malaysia reports 4,446 new COVID-19 cases Xinhua 17 May 2021, 23:05 GMT+10 KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia recorded the highest single-day deaths from COVID-19 on Monday after the outbreak claimed 45 more lives, bringing the death toll to 1,947, according to the health ministry. Malaysia has suffered a resurgence of COVID-19 cases which has forced the government to impose a nationwide movement control order till June to curb the spread.
