What are we looking at with these numbers? >> the jobless claims numbers are not good. surprise league bad. they jumped 43,000 to 474,000. and that puts us closer to -- puts us further away from the 400,000 level which is generally considered to be an okay level. if you are below 400,000, the economy is okay. if you are above, it's not so okay. and, obviously, the further above you get, the worse the economy is. so 474,000 is kind of a bad number. and the markets are reflecting it. they reacted negatively. right now the futures are indicating we will drop maybe 80 points on the dow. so not goo...
