Brewers come back home with another series win | 97.3 The Game

Apr 12, 2021
The Milwaukee Brewers may have found their missing offense in St. Louis over the weekend, but potentially lost another key member of their everyday lineup to the injury bug.
Milwaukee (5-4) jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead after two innings and were able to cruise to an easy 9-3 over the Cardinals, but lost star outfielder Christian Yelich to a sore back in the process. Further complicating matters, third baseman Travis Shaw, who belted a long three-run homer in the second inning had to leave after fouling a ball off of his leg in the fifth inning.
"For Christian, it's low back tightness; day to day," Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters via zoom after the game. "Travis has a right shin contusion and it's going to be the same day to day. We'll see how they're doing tomorrow. I'm not ruling them out. We'll see how they are when they get to the field."

Was The Masters Exciting? | 97.3 The Game | The Steve Czaban Show

Apr 12, 2021
Czabe and KB tried something new Sunday for the front nine of the Masters - they did a live Streamyard of them describing the action at the tournament. For the most part it went well, with the exception of some delay in streaming. They then talked about what other sporting events you could do this for and KB said he and Josh could do one about bowling. The hard part about bowling is the lane is the same wherever you are. Golf courses are different from other courses because of trees, water, etc. It’s a fun new world but Czabe says at the end of the day why do we do it? (Photo/Getty Images)

Brewers bats go silent once again | 97.3 The Game

Apr 6, 2021
The Milwaukee Brewers offensive woes continued on Monday night, culminating in their third straight loss, falling to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, 5-3.
No-hit through five innings, Milwaukee finally reached base on an Omar Narvaez’ ground ball down the third base line defeated Chicago’s infield pull shift.
Once again, the failure of the team to put the ball in play plagued the Brewers in Chicago. Through their first four games, Milwaukee batters have struck out a whopping 48 times.
“We didn't get off to a good start again today, Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters after the game. “We obviously need more runs; we just obviously haven't gotten them so far.”

Governor Brian Kemp Joins Clay Travis to Discuss MLB Pulling All-Star Game

By Outkick the Coverage w/ Clay Travis
Apr 5, 2021
Major League Baseball made a surprising decision a few days ago by pulling the MLB All-Star Game from Atlanta due to changes in Georgia's voting laws. Clay Travis brings on Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to discuss the decision made by baseball, and the negative effects it's likely to have on the league and his state.
Clay and Governor Kemp explain how and why this decision came about. Governor Kemp goes into detail on what the new bill actually requires and how it compares to other states. Not only is the July 13th exhibition no longer in Atlanta for Braves fans, but it also means that the one hundred million dollars the All-Star Game generates will no longer be helping small businesses across the Atlanta area.

Arizona Weather Is Too Nice? | 97.3 The Game | The Steve Czaban Show

By Eric Gitter
Apr 5, 2021
Czabe is back from his week off in Arizona and, for some reason, he has come to the conclusion that the weather is too nice in Arizona. KB thinks he is nuts because the weather in Arizona just puts you in a good mood the minute you arrive. KB feels the sun and the vitamin D is something everyone needs and that is why he loves it. Even the summer temperature is not too much for KB - it’s hot, but you don’t have to go outside when it gets over 100 degrees, much like you don’t go outside when its -10 here in Wisconsin. You just have to adjust your mentality. (Photo/Getty Images)

Giannis' big night leads to second straight win | 97.3 The Game

Apr 3, 2021
Reigning two-time NBA MVP looked every bit the part Friday night in Portland during the Bucks 127-109 win over the Trailblazers.
Antetokounmpo dropped in 47 points on 18-21 shooting from the field (his only missed shots were his three 3-point attempts) and grabbed 12 rebounds. Teammates Jrue Holiday (22 points) and Khris Middleton (20 points) combined for a plus-minus of +51.
Milwaukee also saw new acquisition Jeff Teague in uniform for the first time. Teague played 13 minutes off the bench, scoring two points, and dishing out two assists.
Portland had leads of 3-0 and 6-2, but that evaporated quickly. Milwaukee took the lead for good on a Giannis layup 2:21 into the first quarter and never looked back.
