Beth GarrabrantTaylor Swift's new video for "Fortnight," which she wrote and directed, is a black-and-white fantasia of paper, rain and a dash of Poor Things. The clip starts with Taylor, in heavy makeup and a fancy gown, handcuffed to a hospital bedframe that's affixed halfway up a wall in what looks like a mental hospital cell. She frees herself and stares in the mirror; as she wipes her face, her duet partner Post Malone's tattoos magically appear on it.Next, Taylor's in an office, wearing a black, old-fashioned gown like the one her friend Emma Stone wore in the movie Poor Things. She and Post Malone sit at different typewriters, typing at each other as colored clouds emanate from their machines.Cut to Taylor and Post lying together on a huge silhouette of Taylor's face made up of white pages. They embrace tenderly as the pages swirl around them, and we see that all of Post's facial tattoos have disappeared.Next, we're in a lab where Taylor is strapped to a table, being studied by two scientists played by Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles, who starred in The Dead Poets Society. Cut to Post in a phone booth on top of a mountain in a rainstorm; Taylor's kneeling on top. Then we see Taylor back in the office, surrounded by swirling, burning pages. Back in the cell, she smashes a two-way mirror.  Back at the phone booth, Posty and Taylor clasp hands. The end.On Instagram, Taylor wrote, "When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music. Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another.""@postmalone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration," she added. "I’m still laughing from getting to work with the coolest guys on earth, @ethanhawke and @mrjoshcharles (tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets)."Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. that is not necessarily happening in israel at the moment. >> so, good morning, i am actually in jerusalem and we are hearing similar reports to what roman was just talking about a moment ago that sources confirming to nbc news that israel did carry out what is describing as a limited strike, there has been no official is really confirmation on a, what seems to be a military base just outside of isfahan. but iran is downplaying it. if you look at iranian state television there have been some reports denying that an attack took place, there are pictures coming out of iran, on iranian television, showing the main square and is a honk, a traffic circle there was traffic flowing as normally as normally as pictures coming out, showing the nuclear facilities which are embedded into a mountainside in east on, also

an immediate maximum response in his words, against israel. so that is something certainly that washington is bracing for now, michael yeah, i wanted to pick up on your reporting that israel may have given the us a heads up about this attack, but the us didn't green-light and five from it, what does that say about us? >> relations? because frankly, israel doesn't seem to be listening to the us these days no, they, they certainly were going against the us wishes, right now. >> but this is clearly something that prime minister netanyahu& is war cabinet felt like needed to do. we should know that since the iranian attack last weekend, there were at least at last count, i believe five war cabinet meetings, which really indicates to us michael that the israelis were really having a hard time trying to figure out what to do really hemming and hauling here and that really does speak to the uncertainty. i'm told by us officials that there was real division among the israeli

is. i think it varies depending on who you talk to. if you are a dyed in the wool social conservative, for example, you might believe that there is a trade-off in the judiciary, the spring court, roe v. wade, things like that, are worth making a deal with a, you know, madman. the way that they see donald trump has. if you are somebody who has a single issue, thinking about deregulation, maybe that is your issue. i don't know what bill barr's issue is but i know that he represents a real phenomenon which is that i think the way a lot of these republicans get to the point where they can get back on board with trump after saying that he is a threat to democracy with a constitutional order, it is by kind of narrowing their view of this race in a way that they think of it as a traditional partisan , party politics election. it is a democrat and a

immediate and at a maximum level it will be decisive as a, trained intelligence official, when you hear that pretty absolutist language, it will be immediate and at a maximum level, it will be decisive. >> what do you hear? >> well i take him at his word. i think right now the radian regime is very hard line more more so than perhaps& alonso history and so i take him at his word. i think they will they will respond in kind. and of course the question is how, how can this be deescalate it if it can be at all. but my take seriously what he's saying& i believe the iranians will respond. i don't believe they can't stand another

there are two major questions that the president will look to his national security team for one is to intelligence okay. the israelis have attacked apparently attacked or ron how will the iranians retaliate? and secondary, that's a question for the intelligence community and then from a policy perspective, we had stated that we would not support an attack by israel against iran well, we'll we support israel when iran counter retaliates so we could be in for a, for tat that could rapidly get out of control. so this is a pretty serious turning point i had commented earlier that it looks like the iranians crossed the rubicon by attacking is, or attempting to attack israel proper well the

the dose. so that'll be now that we've had this callous right by israel and apparently no response at least for now by the iranians. how does that change the conversation? there might the g7 leaders well, you can bet that's the top of the agenda this morning, they've just sat down for their final roundtable meeting and we're expecting about three hours time the final press com conference led by italian foreign minister antonio tajani. >> and then we're supposed to be hearing from anthony blinken, the us secretary of state. so i think we'll have a better understanding. about what they're talking about. they discussed yesterday ways to urge israel. some restraint and it's it's right now, i'm sure the topic of conversation, whether they see this attack as that restraint if it could have been something different, this was sort of a downplay of that, but there are so many other items on the agenda that they've got to get through these next and last three hours, which includes the humanitarian crisis in gaza, which includes sanctions targeted sanctions on iran, and obviously back to ukraine, you know, we had a big focus
