New York Bills Would Limit ALPR Use and Data Retention, Help Block National License Plate Tracking ALBANY, NY (Jan. 18, 2021) – Bills introduced in the New York House and Senate would place stringent restrictions on the use of automatic license plate readers (ALPRs) by state law enforcement agencies.
