Information, detailed information, being disseminated from it? >> not much but the aircraft communication and reporting system is designed to provide that information. what we're relying on now as i understand it is the satcom, the communication part, the antenna. it's talking but it doesn't have any information going because the acar is not sharing that information. it's not designed to give a lot of information just from a satellite look. so now if we had acars data, we don't know if we have or not, hopefully they do have some, if that transmission is coming across and giving them informatio...

A sort of certain way that it's transmitted. as you know, richard, the engine -- it's like taking the health of a patient really in hospital. the system is not meant to prevent a failure, but it's a system that's meant to help engine makers and the airlines predict perhaps a maintenance event by monitoring the trends it's showing. so this data is meant to be a long-term feed, as you know. so what puzzles me is that the engine data also comes down the same pipe as the acars data we're familiar with. so if it was turned off, how is it feasible that engine data could also be coming down? there is...
