BJP's Bhupendra Patel has been elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislative party leader and will take oath as chief minister of Gujarat for the second time on December 12.
BJP is set to hold its legislature party meeting on Saturday at 10:30 am at the state BJP office "Kamalam" in Gandhinagar, after which the leaders will meet the Governor at around 2 pm to stake claim to form the government.
Patel will be sworn in as the 18th chief minister at a function at the Helipad ground near the new secretariat in Gandhinagar on December 12. He had replaced Vijay Rupani as the chief minister of Gujarat in September 2021 ahead of the Assembly elections.
