New Delhi, May 7 : Former armed forces doctors will now provide online consultation on the e-Sanjeevani OPD to all the citizens of the country.
With the country battling the raging second wave of the pandemic, the armed forces veterans have come forward to offer their services to help the people needing medical care.
Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar and the Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), Vice Admiral Rajat Datta, have asked the veterans to come forward to offer their services. ....

COVID-19: Ex-Defence doctors to provide online consultation on e-Sanjeevani OPD

New Delhi [India], May 7 (ANI): Ex-Defence doctors will now provide online consultation on e-Sanjeevani OPD to all citizens of the country, the Ministry of Defence said on Friday.
As per an official release, veterans have come forward and offered their services to help the people needing medical care.
Ministry said Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Surgeon Vice Admiral Rajat Datta addressed the veterans who have come forward to offer their services, via video conferencing today.
This service can be availed by any civilian on the website https://esanjeevaniopd.in/, the Ministry said. ....

Bihar has a long history of organized education. Once upon a time, Bihar was a leading place in terms of higher education. Nalanda and Vikramshila University was the two most important centres for learning in India. Nalanda University being the focal point handled all branches including (Art, Architecture, Painting, Logic, Grammar, Philosophy, Astronomy, Literature, Buddhism, Hinduism, Arthashastra (Economics & Politics), Law, and Medicine, Arithmetic, Theology, Law, Metaphysics, Ethics) and housed up to 10,000 students at its peak.
Students from China, Korea, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia and from all the regions of India came to Nalanda and Vikramshila uinversities to study.

Data handling a challenge in e-governance: IT Secretary

Proper cyber security remains a concern, says Safirulla
State IT Secretary K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla has cited handling and protecting data without compromising on data privacy and stifling entrepreneurship as key challenges in e-governance. He was addressing a session on ‘Legal and Policy Dimensions – Way Forward’ with regard to e-governance on the second day of Kerala Looks Ahead, an international conference and consultation being organised by the Kerala State Planning Board virtually, on Tuesday.
He emphasised the need to handle and protect data in adherence to rules and regulations without compromising on data privacy. While there are enough protective mechanisms at data centres and private networks, proper cyber security still remains a challenge though it should be done without stifling start-ups and projects emerging in evolving areas, Mr. Safirulla said. ....
