2-year-old found safe after Jeep is stolen in Denver; police arrest suspect

DENVER — A two-year-old child was found safe Thursday shortly after the Jeep she was riding in was stolen in northeast Denver, police said.
Police later took the suspect into custody in the same area but more information was not yet available.
The child was in the back seat when the Jeep was stolen shortly before 2 p.m., near 51st and Chambers. The Jeep had Texas plates NCW6740.
It was unclear where police found the Jeep and the child, but police said the child was unharmed.

"She is concerned with the welfare of her children and doesn't know where to turn," he attorney told the judge. 
Morris was originally held on a $250,000 bond. On Friday, the judge set it to $20,000 and Morris is expected to be freed.
The judge also issued three no-contact protective orders for the children.
Jackie Morris has waived extradition from Maine. Arrangements for extradition are now being made. Anticipated she will return within week.

GREECE, N.Y. (WHEC) —  Two of the three people indicted for their roles in the alleged kidnapping of two young children from their foster home in Greece back in January will appear in court Thursday.
Both
were indicted in March , with police accusing Dimitri of organizing the Jan. 18 kidnapping of his children. Taken in the incident were 5-year-old Dimitri Cash Jr. and 3-year-old Shakeria Cash from their English Road foster home in Greece. The report also named Joenathan Cash, a cousin of Dimitri, as the third alleged kidnapper in this case.

PHOENIX — A couple who had their pickup truck stolen Wednesday fabricated a story about a baby being in the vehicle, according to Phoenix police.
An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday after the couple told police they were caregivers to an 18-month-old girl and a man and woman they had just met stole their truck from a convenience store parking lot with the baby inside.
Police said the couple who allegedly stole the truck were later located at a Phoenix home and detained, but the child was not found with the suspects or inside the vehicle.
More than 50 police officers then began searching for the child, who reportedly was last seen wearing a pink onesie that said “mama’s baby” on the front.

The child's body was found after his parents spoke at a press conference.

Alabama News Network brought you live coverage of a news conference this morning as Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and others updated the case of the father charged in the death of his newborn son, who had been reported missing.
Cunningham, Chief Deputy Kevin Murphy and Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey were among those who spoke about the investigation, which still is unfolding.
Caleb Whisnand, Sr. now faces a capital murder charge in the death of his five-week-old son Caleb “CJ” Whisnand, Jr.
Last night, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the father was charged with manslaughter and was being held on a $100,000 bond. After the baby’s body was recovered in rural Lowndes County, an autopsy was performed late last night, which officials say is the reason that the charge was upgraded. The father is now being held without bond.

Woman In Custody For Kidnapping Her 8-Year-Old Son
A Muskogee boy is safe and back with his father after police say his mother picked him up after school on Monday triggering an Amber alert.
Tamicah Simpson does not have custody of her 8-year-old son and court records show this is not the first time she has tried to kidnap little Jaiden.
The mother Tamicah Simpson is now in custody, after Comanche County Deputies found her car in Lawton today, more than three hours away from Muskogee.
This is not the first time Simpson has tried to take her children without permission. Court Records from Wagoner County show Simpson tried to pick Jaiden and his sister up from school in Coweta, back in October.

Tulsa Police said a woman died in a crash Monday on southbound Highway 75 near 46th Street North.
Police believe the driver drifted into the center median and hit a large pipe, which launched the car into the air.
"It went over the sand barrels and struck the support beam for the Amber Alert sign, causing the vehicle to flip around, upside down, and land on the pavement," Tulsa Police Lt. Stephen Florea said.

Amber Alert issued for missing 6-month-old from Tennessee
OLIVER SPRINGS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued an Amber Alert for a missing six-month old baby.
Lilybet Boyd was last seen earlier on May 11 wearing pink pajamas. She went missing from her residence in Oliver Springs.
Lilybet is 25 inches tall and weighs 16 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes.
According to TBI, she may be in a dark blue, 2016 Ford Explorer with temporary Tennessee tag QGJ88B1.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

UPDATE: Lilybet Boyd has been found safe in Montgomery County, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. 
"The baby is safe and a suspect is currently in custody," the agency tweeted.

Abducted twin baby boys found safe, police say

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Police said infant twins abducted in Savannah have been found safe. 
An Amber Alert was issued for 6-week old twins boys Matteo and Lorenzo Tuesday afternoon, and police reported at 3:13 p.m. they were safe in the arms of officers. 
Police also have a suspect in custody, but police did not identify them. 
The babies were abducted after a shooting, police say. Officials say the shooting happened at a home on the 1500 block of NE 36th Street before 10:20 a.m. 
One woman, who has not been identified, was seriously injured and the boys were taken from the home. 

The accused Angela Montgomery now faces one aggravated assault charge and two counts of kidnapping.

New Jersey authorities have canceled an Amber Alert for an abducted infant after she was safely located.

MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. — UPDATE: According to Police, Jaiden has been found safe, and the Amber Alert has been canceled. His mother who took him from the bus stop is now in custody.
The Muskogee Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for an 8-year-old boy.  
Jaiden Johnson was last seen on Monday (May 10) in Muskogee when he was taken from the bus stop by his mother at 5:13 p.m., who is his noncustodial parent.

An eight-year-old Muskogee boy is safe after an Amber Alert is was issued early Tuesday morning.
An Amber Alert was issued for eight-year-old Jaiden Johnson after Muskogee police say that he was picked up from his bus stop by, non-custodial parent, 39-year-old Temicah Simpson on Monday around 5:13 p.m. in Muskogee. Muskogee Police say they got a call Tuesday morning from Comanche County deputies who had made contact with Jaiden and his mother in Lawton.
Simpson is in custody now but the charges she could face have not been released. Court records show this is not the first time Simpson has tried to kidnap her children.
