Hybrid gaming startup PortalOne has raised $US15 million ($19,293,000) ahead of the launch of its new app –
The Arcade – that combines video games and streamed video content, and the investors sound pretty familiar.
The Arcade allows users to both play games on-demand, and watch live TV game shows in which they can play against special guests. Basically, it’s a game show that you can play from home.

Gaming and streamed video have been two of the biggest pastime winners during the last year+ of pandemic living. Today a startup that has created an app that brings those two entertainment formats together is announcing a notable seed round of funding as it prepares to come out of closed beta.

Maestro, the interactive live streaming platform for creators and content owners, today announces it has raised a $15 million Series B. New investors include NetEase, Sony Music Entertainment, and Acronym Venture Capital, alongside a host of industry titans including Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin and Dreamhaven cofounders and former Blizzard executives Michael and Amy Morhaime. This takes the total raised to date to $22 million.

Maestro nets $15 million for its interactive commerce, community and engagement tools for livestreams
Making money on livestreams has never been easier thanks to a suite of tools from the Los Angeles-based startup Maestro, which just nabbed $15 million in financing to grow its business.
As video commerce becomes the norm and entertainers, brands, businesses, and franchises of all sizes and stripes look to cut out the middle man, the array of services on offer from Maestro may be the scissors these entities need to cut the cord.
The company has already worked with names as diverse as the Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Cowboys, and pop sensation Billy Eilish on embedding its interactive tools into various live events and promotions.
