New Delhi [India], July 9 (ANI) Consumption of petroleum products in India during the month of June soared 17.9 per cent year-on-year to 18.67 million tonne, data from Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas showed.
Diesel consumption rose 23.9% year-on-year to 7.68 million tonnes and was up about 21.9% from two years ago. Sales of gasoline, or petrol, were 23.2% higher from a year earlier at 2.97 million tonnes.
