Zeus to undergo DNA test; legal proceedings begin over dog seized by PAWR

A DNA test is being arranged to confirm the breed of a dog seized just before Christmas from a Chatham family by Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR).
But there’s a bigger issue at play, said lawyer David Sandor, who is representing dog owner Shawn Hall, as civil legal proceedings began Tuesday in Superior Court in Chatham.

There has been huge interest in the story, particularly on social media, after Hall went public to appeal for PAWR, which provides animal control services for Chatham-Kent, to release his dog named Zeus.
